umm, yeah, Derrick? Cisco's example doesn't really show that you 'take large action' or that you 'move on action'. It only shows that you have a 20c line on sides compared to their 8c. Did you notice that your line in that example is worse on both sides?
Also, your 'action' must be pretty darn similar to Olympics. Olympic is another 20c book, so it makes for a good comparison. Of the 5 games left on the board in MLB today, out of the ten options (sides and totals), you are identical on 7 of them, off by 4 cents on one, off by 1 cent on one and off by 1/2 run on one of the totals.
Also, the NFL game tomorrow along with all 15 games on 9/7 are identical.
Now, most all books have very similar lines these days, so you're not much different, but please don't post goofy things like trying to pass off your 20 cent lines as evidence that you 'move on action'. Most people here aren't as dense at BTJ and you insult the intelligence of the people here with statements like that.

Kosar I was just about to say that. I had a half dozen or so comparisons from last night where their lines were drastically different, now they are virtually identical to Olympics line for every game in every sport. Virtually identical.
And no I dont think its unreasonable to ask these questions given the rollovers and required action people entering the contest will have to adhere to. One of the great things about Jack's site is having dozens of books to line shop with, but if you have a large chunk at a book that is posting inferior lines to everyone else, it doesnt do anyone any good. I appreciate their sponsoring the contest as I am sure we all do, but it doesnt mean I'm going to give them absurd leeway in the lines they hang.

I appreciate the reply Kosar & Acehistr8, we do use a 20 cent
baseball line simular to Oly and many other books. Next year

Well thanks for *your* reply also, Derrick. Except the point obviously wasn't to question your 20c lines. Although they aren't the least bit competitive, they also aren't unusual, as you pointed out. I really don't care if a book chooses to use 20c lines on sides, there are plenty out there that don't. It just means that you want the squarest of the square players playing baseball sides at your shop. That's really not a bad thing for your financial viability.
The point was that the differences in your baseball lines to other shops are in no way correlated to you 'moving on action'. That's a totally ridiculous statement given that your baseball side lines will almost without exception be worse on both sides compared to a shop that deals 8c(Pinnacle), 10c(dozens) or a progressive(dozens). It's great that you are switching next year to something in between, but you missed the point completely and if you didn't miss the point, you avoided it. Also, your comment about moving on action are almost certainly incorrect. That's nothing to be ashamed about, but just stop with the propaganda.
Whatever the case, I would just let it go.
