Sincerely sorry that you lost, as I hate to see anyone lose money to the books, but DAMN!! WHEN WILL YOU EVER LEARN???

I seriously hope that Hello There was only kidding about this bet and that it didn't constitute his entire bankroll. Surely no one would actually do that.

Congrats to the UL backers, especially that ML play theGibber1

please dont ever get married or have kids!

you will only bankrupt them and put them on the streets.....

your doing this to yourself......fine......

but it wouldnt be fair for anyone else to put up w/ your chit...

so please do what you do, but dont drag others into this until you fix your problem

theGibber1 - perhaps you would do the honors of enlightening me since I've been absent from around here for the past 8 months or so due to illness.

Scott-Atlanta, the purpose behind money management is to have something to wager. If you have unlimited funds then I suppose you can throw money around however you wish and hope that someday you'll cash that lottery ticket but I doubt seriously that your methods will work. Most of us, however, do NOT have an unlimited bankroll and if we dumped the whole thing repeatedly then you end up in some serious financial trouble.

As I've said before, I know from experience. I remember when I crossed the threshold of being down a thousand dollars (then I learned to call it a dime), then I was down 10 dimes, then 50 dimes, then a 100 dimes. It only took 5 years and it ruined me personally and financially from which I doubt I will ever fully recover. And I was always thinking ' when I hit the big one I'll get well'. A funny thing happened though - the big one never came - and it never will come.

If that's what you guys want then go ahead. But being a 'money manager' now I'm playing on the same bankroll I started with on January 1 this year (granted I've been out of commission for a while), I've taken two dividends equal to my original stake, and I enjoy my gaming more than I did before - betting $20 a game.

I have a lot more interests than I did when I gambled ALL the time. And I never lose any sleep over a bet that I've made. And I never consider suicide any more. And my wife and kids know me again. And I don't spend all day Saturday and Sunday watching television. If any of that sounds familiar .....

Hello There-Goodbye There.......Tell us something, truthfully now..........My guess is, and it's only a guess of course, is that you aren't really risking all the $ and %'s of your bankroll as you say you are, huh? Are you doing this just for the pub? To keep us all amused? You just want to amass $20 dimes and amaze us, huh? Without the actual risk? I am posing this as a serious question.............Will we get a serious , honest answer?
You know, it isn't so much your system that is at fault. Under the right circumstances & operator it could possibly be almost as profitable as any other (without the "all my account" plays, that is.) The problem seems to be that you are just not so great at cappin' (unlucky) . Tonite's scenerio: Terrible weather is a dog's ally. Tonite, especially, as some of FSU's speed was negated. From the start, you hypathetically cut your mental spread advantage (of 15) probably in half . Didn't you see the rain storm pre game? I would have checked it if I had your amount on a game. Geez, I check it for even a $50 play sometimes. You had the opportunity to back at least a good portion of the bet off.
Have solace, tho. You are not alone. I have a bud, Mr. V, who went bust Sunday, too. He won week 1, put 75% of it on a sure thing week 2 (lost) and lost the rest of it this past week betting against Miami (because he hates them). He does this on a repeated basis year after year. To his credit, he rolled NE last year and made nice $$.........but that was a big exception, because they finished the season on a big winning streak. If they had lost just once on week 13, 14, against playoff Oakland, etc.he would have lost most of his bankroll as usual. Anyway...........GL

I have resisted any comment on your "entire account" postings.

Sorry you lost, but really glad you won't be posting this type of message.

I'm not really concerned about you, as you have been counseled before about your approach to betting. However, I am very happy that those who maybe new to the hobby of ours won't be suckered in to following your plays, which are most likely an disingenuous effort to attract attention.

It's so easy to loose. It's so easy to ask for help then not take it. Money Magement is a must. Even then there is not guarantee you will win. But it does help keep you from dong stupid things. At least if followed it should. But this crap here it goes the entire bank role on a game. If you truley do this. Well you should stop this before you do go broke. You surley will soon if you don't. We also see 100 star locks here and big daddies picks and outlaws and all kinds of names. Everyone stick to your money mangement and don't be pushed by names. There is no bet worth more then twice your normal play. My humble thoughts.

Scott-Atlanta

I recall having those exact same thoughts when I was down 'only' 3400 or five K.

In all seriousness, I'm not trying to poke fun or antagonize you guys, I'm just worried about a fellow human being going through the horrible experiences that I had. Now, if you have all this under control, you have fun doing this and you can afford your losses without it effecting your family or lifestyle, then I apologize for intruding in your business. That goes for Scott-Atlanta and hello there.

But since we are members of a gambling community I just want to make it clear to any newbies out there that your methods can have some seriously adverse consequences.

Fair enough?

And I really mean this, good luck in your wagering and all aspects of your lives.
