""Ayers was not simply protesting ?against? the Vietnam War. Firstly, he wasn?t against war in principle, he was agitating for the victory of the communist forces in Vietnam. In other words: He wasn?t against the war, he was against our side in the war. This is spelled out in great detail in Prairie Fire. Secondly, and more significantly, the Vietnam War was only one of many issues cited by the Weather Undergound as the justifications for their violent acts. As you will see below, in various quotes from Prairie Fire and in their own list of their violent actions (and in additional impartial documentary links), Ayers and the Weather Underground enumerated dozens of different grievances as the rationales for their bombings ? their overarching goal being to inspire a violent mass uprising against the United States government in order to establish a communist ?dictatorship of the proletariat,? in Ayers? own words.

Ayers and his co-authors freely brag about their bombings and other violent and illegal acts, and even provide a detailed list, most likely typed up by Ayers himself, of the crimes they had committed up to that point. Ayers? list, scanned directly from Prairie Fire, is shown below. He may have escaped conviction due to a legal technicality (the prosecutors failed to get a warrant during some of their surveillance of the Weather Underground), but this in no way means that Ayers was factually inncoent of the crimes. As has been widely reported, after the case against him was dropped, Ayers decribed himself as ?guilty as hell, free as a bird.?

Just because Ayers tries to appear respectable now doesn?t mean that he wasn?t a violent revolutionary in the past. In fact, as the text of Prairie Fire shows, Ayers was one of the most extreme extremists in American political history. And as the links given as the end of this essay prove, Ayers is just as politically radical now as he was back then. He has never renounced the political views he professed in the 1960s and 1970s. The only difference is that now he no longer commits violence to achieve his goals. After his stint as the leader of the Weather Underground, he shifted to a different tactic: to spread his ideology under the aegis of academia. But the goal remains the same: to turn America into a communist nation. Ayers? contemporary writings contain many of the same ideas (and even the same phrases) found in Prairie Fire, just toned down to make them more palatable in polite society.""

this jackass wasn`t against the war...he was against "our side" in the war...

"dedicated to sirhan sirhan"... WHERE THE HELL ARE THE KENNEDYS ON THIS?...

and some 1500 college professors just signed a petition for this jerk.....

must be nice to be one of those idealistic, fearless revolutionaries...with tenure and a great pension.....

this is what we`re heading for,guys...the idea is to radicalize the next generation. .....try and win for the far left some measure of control over education(mission accomplished).....

radicalize the teachers by getting them to emulate the "annenberg project's" activities in chicago. ...

killing is good clean fun, and bock`s buddy ayers isn't the least bit sorry he tried it.... but, since it didn`t work, you have to try another tactic.....

eventually, if it works, his bunky walks into power on votes, just like ortega did in nicaragua. ....

they`re on plan "b"....... and it`s working with the help of academia, hollywood, the media, and the indoctrinated lemmings...

tens, if not hundreds of millions killed by communism in one form or the other......yet all you hear ......crickets(cheep..cheep...cheep)

god help this country...liberalism is indeed a disease..

Ask Jack if he wouldn't mind setting up a book club forum so others can read and comment on these radical books that you're reading.

Who cares about this idiot and who cares about Charles Keating, McCain cheating on his wife as she lay in the hospital close to death, Bubba lying about a blowjob, McCains wife stealing drugs from a charity to fuel her addiction, Hillary wearing pantsuits....etc etc...

Jesus Christ.

You've become unhinged. You have always come very close to walking that line, but i'm seriously worried about you now.

As i've posted several times to others, if you've been happy with the republicans executive performance over the last 8 years, i'm happy for you, but a little worried.

WTF is wrong with trying something a little different?

Exactly.

Weasie, I have to say that along with Matt, I am also seriously worried about you. "Unhinged" is being kind.

I also agree with BBC's idea regarding a MJ's Book Club for you and the rest of your personalities.

Ya the RNC is pushing this chit in Wis. A mailer arrived today through the mail. Didn't have the guts to do it door to door. Myself and my neighbor took our's down to RNC head quarters. We were polite. Told them we both were independents. Ask them why they thought that junk would makes us want to vote Mc Cain. No answer. Informed them that it was a turn off and mistake on there part and they would lose votes because of it. The younger kid that got the dirty look from the older woman there. Said ya we been hearing that today. We told him as we left you got a chance kid vote Obama. Then we went and had our beer and a good laugh. My wife was pissed thought we would get thrown in jail or something like that. I think that older gal there would have like to shoot us both by look on her face.

pardon me...but,i don`t like a guy that has so many openly seditious friends/mentors(ayres-dorn/wright/allinsky/farrakhan)becoming the president of the united states...

and hell,i didn`t even include rezko...he`s just a common criminal...he`s tame compared to this insane bunch....

these other friends are downright evil ....and they hate america....every last one of em...

obama says/"ayres is a respected academic refomer"

weasel says/"ayres is an anti-american f-cking monster"....

they`re all monsters...how could he associate himself with these anarchists?........i guarantee you that obama would have fits getting regular gov`t employment if he went through their normal background check....

it`s mind boggling that a guy with his past associations is allowed to sniff the white house....

and even scarier?..those three thousand or so college professors that signed a petition supporting ayres(and you know SOME of them have to be familiar with this work)....

and they are teaching our kids....

guess that explains bobby`s stance on the issue...he lives right smack dab in the belly of the beast...

wake the hell up....if your leaders have to COVER UP their beliefs, past, and former associates, are you so sure they are the good guys?...

ask yourself...why is every despotic regime on earth for obama?

i know...bush!...bush!...

f-cking mindless drones...

Interpretation--stay away from character issues--its the rhetoric that counts right Matt.

Maybe you you'd like to share with us your reasons for voting for O.

I'll let you off the hook on qualifications--
-- maybe you could just give us your take on his issues you like?

-and don't pull a Bobby-Bryantz ect and disappear--because I'll bump the thread till you answer--and if it's going to be on the change theme--be specific of which changes --when he was running as far left as he could in primaries or trying to move to middle in general election-

examples: he gas done complete change on FISA, NAFTA, campaign public financing, town-hall meetings with McCain, offshore drilling, nuclear and coal power, capital punishment and gun control, his characterization of Iran, the surge in Iraq, and the future of Jerusalem
--or is that what he meant by change :)

lol- you'll bump this thread until I answer, huh? I can count on the hands and feet of everybody is this county the number of times you've ducked out, despite repeated prompting.

Most recently, ironically, is how you thought 'family values' jibes with McCain cheating on his wife while she was pretty banged up in the hospital.

Anyways, I *have* answered your question in numerous threads. I don't think Obama has any special qualifications. I don't have a strong opinion of him either way.

I don't know how he'll do, and if he's half the disaster Bush has been, let's vote him out in 2012. But this country needs something different and a senile, ancient president with a lollipop vice-president just doesn't fit the bill.

You are not qualified to understand Obamas qualifications to be president... I don't disappear, you just don't get what some of America gets... What qualifed Arnold to be gov of kallyiforn-ya ? I think you start out with the fact , Obama is very smart and able to look at life and people from more than one angle... He is able to place value on those that don't see things his way, and He's not afriad of lifes reality.....look at the wide range of people that support Obama... You want to look at the one segment, a segment that you have no value for and disqualify him because of that.... I suggest you ask the man in the mirror, why he can not and will not SEE ANY VALUE IN AN EXCEPTIONAL AMERICAN LIKE OBAMA ! How is it..... with all the people that ran for president on both sides, he is one of two still standing ? How does a guy get from his point A to this point ? I think it's remarkable... I think it shows what he is made of.... think about all that have tried and failed.... think about what were their qualification were and what their point A's were.... Everything is not black & white, on energy, guns nafta.............How is it, you and your friends on the extreme right, are now acting like your brothers on the outside left did at the prospect of losing the White House. I have made this point before: we went from carter to reagan/bush to clinton to bush... I think the pattern proves that the left is wrong and the right doesn't get.... Most of America/Middle America swings it back the other way... Especially after 8yrs of bush/cheney..... How can the right be defended at this point ? How can the average working American Vote rebuplican this time around ? You think Obama is not qualified... Most of the people that are voting for Obama, think that Mccains life and political experience disqualifies Mccain..... I believe Obama is uniquely qualified to be President and leader of the free world..... Yes the free world.... Those that don't consider our place in the world and how we are viewed by our friends and enemies, have no clue to our prosperity and peace in the days ahead .....

I find it amusing that those who supported Bush conveniently overlooked his own lack of experience when he initially ran for President. Bush was a shitty Governor and a failed businessman but apparently that was enough "experience" to be elected as leader of the most powerfull country in the world.

Gary:

You have no idea what your talking about. I wrote the preface to "Prairie Fire". Your assumptions are baseless, your quotes are taken out of context, your conclusions are Nixonian, fearbased, bookburning dreck. Read the book in relation to society in the late 1960's. The government, as it does now, had us involved in an illegal war.

The only difference was the draft and the brainwashing they've done today is much better. Corporate American (or the military industrial establishment as it was fondly known as back then) learned well. They knew they had to control a party and the media, which they have done today. Dumb (or purely evil) Americans vote republican. It's plain and simple.

OMG Wicked, you are not only a leftist criminal defense attorney and I'm sure a card carrying member of the ACLU, you are an outright Marxist. Why don't you just take your family and move to the New Soviet Union, you could represent Putin and be like a pig in shit in all your glory.

'Beware the time is near

Subject: OBAMAMANIA!! VERY INTERESTING

This info is interesting. Obama supporters need to do some research?to say the least.

TIME IS NEAR!!!! SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!!!!

Subject: OBAMAMANIA!! VERY INTERESTING

To All My Friends, this is long, but very
important, please take the time to read it. This election has me very
worried. So many things to consider. About a year ago I would have
voted for Obama. I have changed my mind three times since than. I
watch all the news channels, jumping from one to another. I must say
this drives my husband crazy. But, I feel if you view MSNBC, CNN,
and Fox News, you might get some middle ground to work with.

About six months ago, I started thinking 'where
did the money come from for Obama'? I have four daughters who went to
College, and we were middle class, and money was tight. We (including
my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student loans.

I started looking into Obama's life.

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental
in California. He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he
tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he
had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. 'Barry'
(that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two
roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan.

During the summer of 1981, after his second
year in college, he made a 'round the world' trip. Stopping to see
his mother in Indonesia , next Hyderabad in India , three weeks in
Karachi, Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's family, then
off to Africa to visit his father's family. My question - 'Where did
he get the money for this trip?' Neither I nor any one of my children
would have had money for a trip like this when they were in college.

When he came back he started school at Columbia
University in New York . It is at this time he wanted everyone to
call him Barack - not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at
Columbia? It's not cheap! to say the least. Where did he get money
for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe.

After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a
Community Organizer for $12,000 a year. Why Chicago? Why not New
York ? He was already living in New York.

By 'chance' he met Antoin 'Tony' Rezko, born
in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has
been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Rezko, was named
'Entrepreneur of the Decade' by the Arab-American Business and
Professional Association'.

About two years later, Obama entered Harvard
Law School . Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law
School? Where did he get the money for Law School? More student
loans? After Law school, he went back to Chicago . Rezko offered him
a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis,
Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented 'Rezar' which
is Rezko's firm. Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial
contributors when he ran for office in Chicago.

In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for
Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was
instrumental in providing Obama with 'seed money' for his U.S. Senate
race. In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of
Chicago for $1.65 million (less than the asking price). With ALL
those Student Loans - Where did he get the money for the property? On
the same day Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for
full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born
Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new
home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

Now, we have Obama running for President.
Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama's boss. She is now Obama's chief
advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to
her first. Where was
Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran!
Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy?

On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert
Malley advisor to Obama was 'sacked' after the press found out he was
having regular contacts with 'Hamas', which controls Gaza and is
connected with Iran.

This past week, buried in the back part of the
papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama's visit to Iraq ,
he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is
elected, and he will 'Take care of things'.

Oh, and by the way, remember the college
roommates that were born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all those
'small' Internet campaign contributions for Obama. Where is that
money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country? Or
could it be from the Middle East ?

And the final bit of news. On September 7,
2008, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on
'This Week' with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on talking about his
religion said, 'My Muslim faith'. When questioned, 'he make a
mistake'. Some mistake!

All of the above information I got on line. If
you would like to check it - Wikipedia, encyclopedia, Barack Obama;
Tony Rezko; Valerie Jarrett: Daily Times - Obama visited Pakistan in
1981; The Washington
Times - September 7, 2008; The Times May 10, 2008.

Now the BIG question - If I found out all this
information on my own, why haven't all of our 'intelligent' members of
the press been reporting this?

A phrase that keeps ringing in my ear - 'Beware
of the enemy from within'!!!

Have a nice day.
