There are different ways to consider the value of Bitcoin....

Wow! Some bizarre thinking there.

I make money transfers regularly via electronic transfers. They're secure, instantaneous, and free.

IF i wanted my financial transactions to be untraceable, I'd simply use cash.

However since I'm not engaged in illegal practices, say drug dealing or hiding income, what's the benefit of Bitcoin? I have no need to be invisible to law enforcement or the IRS.

Bitcoin transfers are neither fast nor free.

And holding Bitcoin with it's wild price swings is a risk I don't wish to be exposed to. I would not want to be in gold today @$1260 because I can forsee a possible loss of 50% against a weak upside. In fact I sold the last of my gold @ $1100 and $1200. Bitcoin at $18,000 with a possible downside of 0? I'd rather run $18K through a Vegas slot.

If you're holding some Bitcoin @ $18K, you're either much wiser than I, or much more foolish.

Check back in a few months and tell us which. I'll still be here, and I'll have made a little money.

You have been wrong for quite some time as far as the growth of this shit. You take the same stance as you do politically. I'm right, your wrong.

You just can't wait for the day you can tell these guys, "I told you so!"

Really, there is no reason to be such a condescending douche. The reality is you support a system that benefits bankers, middle men, and governments to a disproportionate extent. Is bitcoin perfect? No. I?m not stupid.

The reality is things evolve. The financial world as it exists now did not exist 100 years ago. Things change. They often change in increments. There are a lot of good building blocks here. To outright dimiss them is incorrect in my opinion.

Anyone even remotely in crypto has heard this kind of nonsense for years. It?s an evolving space that is still in its infancy. You don?t have to participate but a strugggle is likely ahead.

I have made an absolute killing in this. And I have distributed some of the profits. But it actually worried me distributing back to the dollar which I?m not sure is any safer. These are strange times.

Fortunately I have a real job. Making money for the sake of making money is not my job.

Well, goody. goody for you. I have had "real" jobs for 50+ years. And I have also invested my own money, carefully. And I have not yet taken a loss.

Bet your ass on Bitcoin. Good luck if it works. Don't whine if you get bit.

I didn't spew profanity at you. BTW, shove that douche bag down your throat and give it a good squeeze.

What profanity did I spew?

You are literally hyper aggressive.

My investment in crypto started in September 2016. It was a small percentage of my net holdings, very small. Through a combination of luck and good timing I have done well. I mean a 10000 percent profit on ethereum is sort of ok.

I would never advise anyone to invest money they weren?t willing to part with. In anything.

I don?t see why you care so much about this. You?ve obviously done well your way but there is more than one way to generate returns and some of the best ones take some foresight.

Douche. Unless you think that is a compliment.

You are correct. I have no tolerance for nonsensical morons, ie you. But I am not a slime spewing ass hole like you.

Assuming you sold at 10000 percent. Did You?

I guess in my book douche is not profanity.

You have, however, proven that you are a condescending douche. You think we (or basically anyone who disagrees with you) on this subject is a moron - your words. I'm "slime spewing" for disagreeing with you but you are a saintly helper for patrolling this website trying to save everyone from themselves. Which makes no sense since you have "no tolerance for morons".

Truth is, I don't think you are dumb. You might even be right. You might also be wrong. Certainly, for 2017, you weren't just wrong, you were super wrong! Going forward, I have no idea. A lot of different outcomes are possible.

Okay. From now on I'll refer to you as Bombs Douche.

I hope you buy some more Bitcoin at $18K.

You can laugh at me if it is worth more than $18K a year from now.

I'll laugh at you if it's worth less than $18.

Good night, Mr. Bombs Douche.

Duff, please don't ruin this thread.

You have spoken your piece. Please don't run this into the ground like it's the Political forum.

These guys are enjoying a ride you chose not to take. Let it be.

I don't know what "quite some time" means to you.

It's been no more than ten or 12 days since I first posted about cryptocurrencies.

And Woodson saying I have been negative on Bitcoin since $700 is complete bullshit. I first posted about it when it was at/or near $18,000.

But go ahead, do some research and include Woodson with you. Look up my posts. You both are liars. Goddamn liars. Clear?

I'll be back to post about crypto-scam when it's down 75%. If I can get in fast enough before it's down 95%.

In the meantime, liars like you and Woodson need to go all-in. :142smilie

My guess is you will be banned from posting in the crypto forums. We will have to read your shit in the hunting and fishing forum.

Oh, and I don't have a dime in crypto. I'm just not being an asshole to the guys who are.

Exactly!
Duff does not get it and never will. You are going down a rabbit hole of degeneracy with him on any subject he disagree with. Selling all your gold to fiat? lol
