162/105 as I sit at the Dr.

Been having severe migraines at night through the next day. Shortness of breathe, irritability, so came in to the Dr.

Looks like I have high blood pressure...

So, what do you guys do to keep it moderate. I'm sure I'm about to get a life changing event speech when he comes back in...

I've been taking meds since I was 22. I had a procedure done today and it was 179/107 they wouldn't let me leave till it came down.

Ramipril 10mg 2 caps every morning since 1985.

I can take my BP any time and it's always around 110/70.

When they put me on it, it was ranging 170/120.

Put a teaspoon of cinnamon over your coffee grinds while brewing coffee. Sprinkle some cinnamon in your coffee. A doctor recommended I try it and it worked! I do not take any medications and was trying to avoid taking blood pressure medicine. I have been doing this for 4 years now...... My blood pressure lowered after a couple of weeks doing this! :0008

Stop smoking if you do. Moderate your alcohol intake....and most importantly, regulate your diet and exercise often. If you are predisposed to HBP due to heredity, you may need to take meds. Your doctor didn't advise you?

Don't diet, change the way you eat for good. Easy to say of course, helped me a lot.
I got rid of wheat and corn, and that was it. Lost weight and feel way better all the way.
I'm not on some low carb shit, i eat what i want but not wheat or corn (maybe pizza/burgers etc
every now and then but i avoid them if i can).

Headache might also be caused by neck/muscle/eye problems.

Take care

I've been on bp medication since I was 21 and in top shape as a swimmer. Diet and exercise will help but you may need to take daily meds.

Been taking medicine since I was 27 for high bp, stop caffeine or at least cut down on caffeine it helped me immediately, drink less alcohol too...I drink one cup of regular coffee and then switch to decaf for my second, and always buy no caffeine drinks, it's hard at first but I did this 12 years ago and avoid it at all costs

Could also be anxiety too, wish you the best Woody :0008

Thanks guys. Yesterday I thought I was going to call an ambulance about 3. Yards yadda yadda, basically stage 2 hypertension and they are trying to low BP to see if the migraines are the cause or a result.
A lot going on like everyone so not trying to be a whoa is me but I had a scare here. Got to readjust schedules to get back to running, eat right instead of fast, and remember I work to enjoy life. At 37, a good wake up call. Thanks for the posts will read tomorrow and respond.

Thanks again.
