News: Toms (back) withdrew from the BMW Championship.
Notes: He stands 31st in the standings, so it's unlikely he'll make the cut for next week's Tour Championship as a result.

I knew i should have faded aaron when i saw this

SHIT!! He wd..
Q. You played so well last week, Arron. Can you talk about the injury? You're probably as healthy as you've been in a long time I'm guessing.
ARRON OBERHOLSER: Well, no, I'm not, unfortunately. I'm still struggling with the hand and wrist injuries, and these won't go away until I quit playing golf this year. I need -- my physical therapist has told me I need three weeks off, no holding onto anything and no blunt force trauma to the hands for three weeks and this thing will heal up and I'll be ready to play Grayhawk, which will be my last event of the year.
As soon as the Playoffs are over for me, that's my plan. But I'm playing on four Advil a day.

Q. If you're playing on four Advil a day, playing four weeks in a row and playing this stretch, how has that been for you?
ARRON OBERHOLSER: It's been hard. It's been hard on my hands. I'll be honest with you, it's tough on the hands and wrist. They're sore and they're beat up. I've been playing with it since the Byron Nelson, every week. We've played about four or five U.S. Open-type setups since the Byron Nelson, so the rough has been bad. I think you guys have noticed how bad the rough has been this year. It's been pretty brutal year course setup-wise this year, and when you drive it in that rough you've got to gouge it out and that adds to the soreness and the pain.

2nd rd @ 5D
Ames -105 over Toms

Not trying to pick on Toms swing is amiss with only 2 players hitting fewer greens yesterday--only extremely hot putter kept him near par--Ames streaky himself but has lost only one rd of 10 in common to Toms since August.

Note on the -105 line--was only there for about 30 seconds--I was going to take Ames at -115 but bet Toms by mistake after they moved line bet Ames correctly @ -105 and they moved it back to -115.

Wouldn't want anyone to think I was fudging on line---

routine play. Toms made about 10 putts from good distances to save par.

Im willing to bet the house perez not only doesnt win this event but chokes and doesnt qualify for the top 30.

If you guys are making in round plays, you should check to see who is mathematically eliminated .. key stat this week

I think Allenby just fired his caddy on the spot. He picked somebody out of the crowd to carry his bag.

. Golf - BMW Championship September 6 - 9, 2007
Round 3 Matchups
Kenny Perry vs David Toms
Kenny Perry (+115) [pending

will stay on this train till it stops--though somewhat reluctantly today--with the ties lose--had odds not been so favorable would have passed.Along the same line as Ames yesterday-- Toms has only beat Perry 2 rds out of 13 since Aug but several ties--the key to this course aside from length on wide open wet fairways is putting--and Perry always a big if there--however hitting 80% of greens and having 20 yard spot on Toms off tee should negate the putting--hopefully.

players who are out of the top 30 and that have no shot of making it.. might lost motivation
......................................................

how does the money work.

Do the top 100 get paid for the lowest scores ?

how is the prize money structured ?

how many golfers in the field try to qualify ?

bought 20 shares of stricker at 3 pre tourney

gonna buy 20 more at +455 or 18 a share

wsex is way overvalued on tiger right now.

he's gonna be behind or tied going into the final round. he's good buddies with stricker. stricker playing in hometown or close too it. how big is that gallery gonna be tomrrow and who they rooting for, not like it matters.

stricker played just as good as woods today if not better. obviously tiger has the better pedigree, but stricker owns this course as well and at 4.5 to 1 definitely worth it in live betting. can always sell some tomorrow, but i firmly believe this is going down to these two on the last few holes in the final pair tomorrow. worth a shot.

No doubt stricker will be sentimental fav and got good break with being paired with Badds tomorrow by virtue of his birdie on 18--but don't forget stricker hasn't beaten Woods this year in
4th rd in 9 attempts on events in common and only once since in 4th rd in last 3 years--wish you luck and will be pulling for stricker myself--but if I had 20 shares of stricker would sell 15--

thanks dtb

not gonna sell any til tomorrow tees off and play it by ear.

got 420 invested to win 3580 if he pulls it out.

if it was any other course but dubsdread i'd sell some. and do agree he gets a break knowing all day what he needs to do with tiger one hole ahead.

i firmly believe baddleys troubles on the last day continue. he probably shouldn't be a factor unless somethings changed in his head.

should be a great 18 tomorrow

some dream scenario plays in my head where stricker wins this week and tiger of course wins next week when it counts to bring home the cup.

go stricker

I agreed with you BDB, but I bailed on Stricker at $13 when Tiger birdied to take the lead. Hope it works out for you....
