Yea, its a ways out but I'm having withdrawal symptoms as there is really nothing else! Ricondeux-245/+185 back on Ramos. Unless there is something major unknown here, I see value in Ramos here. I think the line stems from Ricon knocking out 6 of 8 opponents. Seems he only fought once in 2011; Ramos twice and quality of opposition seems to be on a par for both of these. Also Ramos is ranked higher on the world stage than Ricon. Happy New Year!

I dislike going against Cuban fighters, but Ramos is what I would say is a live dog. Its probably before your time, but I cannot ever forget Teofilo Stevenson, a Cuban Olympian. Watch some video if you can find it. He dropped guys with a right hand that was pure artistry. You have to see it to appreciate it.

Ramos was losing to Shimoda before found a fight ending left hook. Slow Adrian Valdez troubled Rico. Rigo looked good early then kind of stunk it out against veteran Cordoba and he looked surgeon like against Big Bang Casey. I'm leaning Rigo here. Both are talents but Rigo's precision is amazing while Ramos can be off balance and uncertain. Rigo is explosive, too. He's dropped every opponent he's faced, including Cordoba and iron chin Lante Addy.

Thanks for the link. I really enjoyed watching him again. Zab Judah did not invent the "chicken dance". Stevenson's opponents did it many years ago.

Rigon an amazing body puncher for sure. Scheduled for 12 rds. but I don't see that. Ramos could win by decision, but not likely if he gets sloppy and eats Rigon's monstrous left hand. Longer it lasts, I think it favors Ramos; But Rigon is search and destroy all the way. Ramos has Goosen and Haymon, but that may not be good enough. Ramos by decision or Rigon by KO. depends if the numbers on any props warrant both plays if plus money is indicated. Rouns prop should be around 9.5.

ramos by dec sounds like a good hedge

i might go to this fight, i can actually walk to it easy

I would surely go. The Cuban is exciting to watch, and at 24, Ramos is (should be) getting better, and he has Goosen. I just can't get the image out of my mind of Rigon dropping guys with that devastating body punching. I think hardest example I have ever seen; better than Mickey Ward.

You don't think Rigo could win by decision? I see that as a reasonable possibilty.

I like Rigo, but Cordoba exposed him a bit!
He's not the most active guy and I dont like boxer who keep their hands that low...

I only say this as more likely than not, it appears KO's are Rigo's stock in trade. Ramos might slip and slide his way to a split/majority decision, courtesy of Gossen/Haymon. I wonder if Rigo has any other way of fighting other than going in with guns blazing.
