Parlay - AM Torres, A. Mucino - medium well
Got good opening odds on both, including -290 on Torres. Looks solid to me. Both Mexican chicks at home. Torres seems to be one of the elite female boxers going today. Japanese opponent highly regarded but record suggests she struggles with second tier opponents. Mucino seemed very good against Kentikian, and I agree with Zerwas, the German was lucky to have the fight stopped on a cut. Mucino seems like the real deal.
Stephane Jamoye (+290) - medium well
Can't seem to find anyone else who agrees, but this is my play of the week. I love the odds of course, and am very high on Jamoye. This kid is very tough, sound technique and does not stop punching. I watched his fights against Jaramillo and top prospect Kameda. I thought he beat Kameda by a round in an excellent fight. This fight is in McDonnell's hometown, which of course is a concern, but I'm not that impressed with him at all. His current rep is largely based on the fight with Napa, which most think he lost. After watching video I think Jamoye is better than Napa. McD has a big height advantage, but he doesn't fight that tall. Also, and I think this will be a big factor, I think Jamoye's stamina far exceeds McD's, who seems to fade as the fight goes on. Upset in the making here!!
Danny McIntosh (+190) - small
Another away doggie for me. I think this fight is very evenly matched, and can go either way. Both seem to be improving sorts. Karl has one good win, KO1 against Mohammedi, but this seemed to be a lucky punch and an early stoppage. Karl also coming up from middle, but he does seem a full-fledged LH now. Even in France, I think McIntosh can rise to the occasion.
Holding with the doggie theme of the week, I also think that A. Perez (+230) and S. Lawton (+220) are live. I may drop some spare change on both of them. I think Lawton is fading, but Derry Matthews chin has failed him time and again. Lawton ko'd him in their first meeting, so why not again? I'm surprised odds are this wide, based on Lawton's first win. With Perez, he does have a couple good wins, and Hugo Ruiz is entirely untested. Even fight from my perspective.
Good luck guys!!!
