Looking at the charts I have access too, appears the square money is all on the dog and under.........But they win sometimes too.

Thats funny...

Last year you posted in this forum that I was very sharp and worth folllowing. Now I post a play on a +450 dog that loses and you call me a square?

Joey, as long as I keep winning like I have for the last 3 years, you can call me whatever you want.

Just keep giving me those lines ;)

I know betting against the public is a winning formula, does it work also in boxing?

the guys at my forum are hoping gatti fights baldomir, they all think he gets his head handed to him.

daamgard didn't have the kind of power his record would suggest, to hit gatti that many times cleanly and not cut him or close his eyes showed that.

actually....

actually....

Odessa is reffering to 1 of the places he works for. Everyone was on under and Damgaard and at this place that he works for, people never seem to win :mj07: So, that's why he called it square money, thinking about all the advertising and stuff as well lots of squares play there and I guess like to give away $$$. Not to mention some of the bad numbers people will take there as well :mj14:

joey may have some idea who the winning and losing bettors are more likely to be.....joey books...i`ll give him his just due.....

but,i get chafed when i hear some of these polemic comedians on the net telling everyone where the "sharp" money`s going.....

i`d venture a guess that the same sharp guys that had gatti tonight...were the same sharp guys that had judah a few weeks ago...... ..and are digging out from a good sized pile of dog squeeze.....

(insert disclaimer here...."no,they didn`t")

maybe some really had the skinny on damgaard....my british friend said he was "ordinary"......

still took the small shot....vs a guy that was destroyed last time out...who cuts...who has bad hands....

even though i knew that gatti`s people`s strong suit is matching him favorably....
a 5th of a unit to win one....worth the shot...

but damgaard was much worse than i anticipated...

he resembled quasimodo BEFORE the fight started....

Mayorga is correct. That post was soley in reponse to Armagetto and not meant to ruffle anyones feathers.

If you guys that get the right side of the opening number, you will likely win. The guys that get the number 2x after its already moved..........just like any other sport, are in for a rough ride.

I know betting against the public is a winning formula, does it work also in boxing?

Its hard 2 say. July a year or so ago was brutal. Favorites won 88% and the moves all held up.

It varys. The Don Best bouts that the public has been on, have been cleaning up, wiith the xception of tonight.

Examples this week where the opening number was stronger than the closer:

Brudov vs Hill
Romanov vs Earl
Aronautis vs Thompson
Beyer vs Colajanni
Gatti vs Damgaard and Total
Ouma vs Mora Total

The big move on Ouma held up and the Johnston total did also..

With everything I factored in, the under wasn't all that bad. You had to figure that Gatti could be shot and Dam.. would be a journeyman at best in the US. Gatti cuts easy to boot. I didn't think that Dam.. hit that soft or that he could take a beating for some rounds. Also, if Gatti didn't hurt his right hand for the 134,528,294 time, maybe he would have got him out of there a round or two earlier for the win. Oh well...I think I should mae my predictions and everyone else just take opposite. It's been a bad year so far..........
