Saturday plays

Saturday plays

Welcome back fellas!!

Good to be back in action!

Going Mexican tomorrow night.

Ganigan Lopez - medium
Got some decent early odds here. Lopez seems to be the fighter on the rise. Should be a brawl, but I gotta think Lopez is a step above here.

Esquivel-Garcia OVER 10.5 (-120) - small Barring a cut or such, this has the look of a distance scrap.

Eduardo Garcia (+450) - small
Garcia is a proven difficult guy, with a couple upsets and tough go's against guys he was supposed to lose to. Esquivel did have an impressive performance against T.Munyai in his last tilt, but Munyai came over from S.Africa way too late, and may have been a bit over rated in general. Before this, Esquivel did not seem too impressive to me at all. His losses are to bad fighters. I get the impression he's an improved fighter, but I think this could go either way, so I'll lay a bit on the big doggie.

Oh, and just for the record, I like Shumenov over Joppy. I did like Joppy's attitude at the weigh-in though.

Good luck guys!!! :0008

(Boxingscene) guy from ringside just filed, stating most of press row had Provodnikov winning and by a considerable margin

"In the main event of ESPN2 Friday Night Fights? season, an overmatched Mauricio Herrera (16-1) upset the previously unbeaten Ruslan Provodnikov (17-1) via unanimous decision.

Scores were a 115-113 and 116-112 (2x) in a terrific bout whose ending wasn?t quite in line with those observing from ringside."

I thought Prov knicked it by a round or two to Ghost, but a 16 to 1 favorite he was not.

True. The guy did lose to Anchondo. Line seemed right prior to the fight.

I'd like to shake you're hand right back, except I don't know how to cut and paste a friggin' picture, so I'm gonna copy yours. Can you teach me how to do that?

We've got a good year in front of us my friend, I can feel it!!

Prov looked like shit but he WON the fight. Everybody @eastside had prov winning. Not a conspiracy theorist but +800 dog and the favorite had a nice mouse under his eye before the fight makes me think some nice wagers were placed on Herrera. My bad for betting big chalk but make no mistake the Ruskie got hosed. 116-112 x 2....GTFOOH!

You right, wasn't saying I would've picked Herrera, being that I've never seen anything on him besides a short KO clip, but just like Quanah said, 16/1 made me stay far away. Final result surprised me as well. Shame you lost, hope you get something back tonight. :popcorn2

first fight, first upset, first robbery..good start to the new year! ;-)

BTW, there seems to be some money coming in on Esquivel, who is nothing special IMO!

Do you have any insight!?

Ota, Arakawa, and Yuba all won in Japan.

Supposedly Yuba will now rematch Ota - they had a great fight last year.

The fights in Kazakstan have started - according to Goossen Tutor.

But I guess Beibut-Joppy debacle still hours away.

Posted my picks above. I like Garcia over Esquivel at +450. Big dog worth a small shot.

Do you know about the o/u in the Arakawa fight? Had just a bit on the over.
