Boxingscene reported that the brother of Michael Katsidas was found dead, apparently of a drug overdose. This is tragic news and needless to say the fight w/Marquez will more than likely be cancelled or postponed. Katsidas is in a state of shock and not talking according to the article. I wish the guy and his family all the best.

I thought for a brief moment he showed some class after the bludgeoning he suffered by praising Vit as "by far the best fighter I've ever fought". Now the excuses are rolling in as I originally thought they would. Briggs didn't deserve the fight to begin with and he did NOTHING in the fight to indicate that he would deserve a rematch. I think Briggs just likes to hear himself talk. Torn bicep or not, he was going to get spanked and nobody in their right mind would ever want to see that mismatch again.

I'm surprised but not shocked that Kats is still going to fight Marq. Kats has a warrior mentality and you have to hand it to him for the comments he made. I had a few bucks on him b4 the tragedy and I feel the loss of his brother will inspire him to win this one at all costs. This is going to be a GREAT fight. I wish I were going.

i was perusing the boxing lines at 5.d. and saw alphonso gomez +350 vs chavez jr.....i hurriedly checked box rec to confirm the natural size differential because i remembered gomez being competitive with middleweights in the contender series.....couldn`t recall off the top of my head whether gmez spent time at jr middle...


2 weight classes...damn !!:facepalm: ......lol....
