Hi Boy's,

A lot of unders this week and I HATE betting over/under. I am no good at it like King Romi.

I got the shaft with my odds this week. Too late to the table.

Garnica to beat Alvarado, Small at +800. I just can't believe how shitty Alvarado looked against Bazan until the KO.
Bazan is as shot as they come and he was giving Alvarado a hard time.
I thought Alvarado was losing that fight.

Lopez/Figuero Under 5 1/2 rounds, Medium at -160. Lopez is the real deal fighting a guy who was knocked out a bunch of times before coming back from a 3 year lay off. I don't think a lay off will help his chin against Lopez.

Figuero to beat Lopez, Small at +1600. Figuero can punch and might land a lucky shot in between getting pounded.

Bunema to beat Martinez, Small at +500. I think this is the best value bet on the board.
Martinez has built his record against Spanish cab drivers. The Roman fight proves that Bunema does not discourage easily when behind on points. This fight might go the exact same way.
Martinez is not used to people hitting him back.

Ramirez/Gamboa Under 9 1/2 rounds, Big at -220. Ramirez looks to have an undefeated PADDED record.
Gamboa blasts him in a round or two.

Good Luck All.

the midwestern aspect of gamboa`s opponent raises one`s eyebrows a bit...

played the gamboa under along with the lopez under and parred `em...

and honestly,i think the tsurkan/angulo under is appealling..might parlay that...

movers give tsurkan problems....and angulo doesn`t move...

angulo`s good, but he can be hit...tsurkan`s been in with some solid guys..he stopped camacho,jr,jesse feliciano and david lopez.......

this is a good fight..

i think somebody`s going...and if someone doesn`t,we may see a fight of the year candidate...

I agree with your pick on this Garden, I just don't like the odds offered.

I was really thinking about a bet on Jose Antonio Izquierdo at +685. He was matching handspeed and had a better workrate than the Peterson Brother that beat him.
The guy had talent but ran out of steam.

I am staying away as he got stopped in his next fight as well and might not have his heart in the game.
I hope I don't regret this move.

edit - it's true, abraham had struggled to make weight, and will likely head to super middle. the articles said 6lbs, dated oct 2.

if anyone has further insight it would be appreciated. im consider a small wager on the over, weight issues would encourage that.

Tonight:

Coleman Medium

Watson Small

Alvarado ITD Medium

Rios-Alvarado-Gamboa-Angulo parlay Large

Rios-Alvarado-Coleman parlay Small

Chambers-Castillo under 5.5 Small

Gonna see how I do tonight before I attack tomorrow.
But looks like a lot of us like Gamboa to starch this kid on HBO.

I know a quite a few people playing the under in this fight

but I (like Frank and you) lean OVER.

I think this may be an Abraham decision.

Abraham is VERY talented, but he has let lesser guys (Jantuah, Shannon Taylor, Ayala, Gevor) hang in there and/or go the full distance with him.

Marquez is gritty and determined.

But I do fear Marquez being cut...which happens in all his fights.

Good luck bro.

this undefeated guy has been fighting exclusively on the midwestern circuit(k.c.,iowa,oklahoma)....and other than priest smalls,i don`t recognize much on his resume....

maybe he`s a beast....but somehow i doubt it....

/"toto...theres no place like home".....(and this tilt ain`t in kansas city)

Thanks Ghost, glad to see we're on the same side. Cuts are a concern, as you pointed out.

The Alvarado line is odd, some places have it 9.5 -170, others 8.5 at even. That's quite a price for 1 round.

I agree he can get Garnica out, I took under 8.5 at even, small.

Gardenweasel, he's inactive to boot! 1.5 years off.

Gamboa took a lot of heat for his showboating and inability to get Jiminez out, as a result he's been demoted to the undercard of Angulo, last time it was the opposite. Hopefully he learned his lesson and wipes out Ramirez.

gamboa vs a common opponent...the guy went the distance with ramirez and i read it was considerably closer than the scores would indicate...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ydq7q5RyGs4

we may be wrong,bud..anything can happen and often does...

.but,i don`t think we`ve been wrong in our analysis....although i hope gamboa throws straighter punches now...

i expect gamboa`s speed to be a real shock to ramirez` system...

but,all indications are that ramirez has a good chin...

I am adding Watson/Guerrero Over 6 1/2 rounds, Medium at -105.
I have a feeling by looking at Guerrrero's record that the 9 KO's in 9 fights is not all its cracked up to be.
Watson is also the naturally bigger guy and has been sparring with Kelly Pavlik recently.

Watson to beat Guerrero, Small at +700. For the above reasons and the fact Guerrero has never gone past 4 rounds.

one big problem in this fight

Perez can hurt Rios and Rios can't hurt Perez

Perez fighting pretty inspired in front of his hometown crowd

I'm gonna need a miracle to save my money
