A note regarding Soto. Only rarely does a line move here (Vegas) towards the dog. Usually they bet the chalk up. Not always, but mostly. The $ is coming in on Soto. Line has dropped 20cents at one local book. A guy I used to know from back east use to say the best bet in sports is an underdog that has a good shot at winning the game(fight, etc.). Bada-bing; should be a nice fight.

talk about oddball lines.....5 dimes has abell at -150.....

and abell inside the distance at -140?........

who`s gonna hamstring themselves and take that -140?........lol

abell/okue props...but,no soto/guzman props?.....

ooops..they`re up......soto inside at +327....decent odds...

guzman by decision....-110.....

That Guzman inside started above +140 and came down quick ... people are aware Guzman hasn't scored a KO since 122 a few years ago and Soto can take a shot. That right hook from BPaq that he didn't see as he was going in for the kill would have floored 9 out of 10 opponents. I found it strange that people kind of criticized or gave Soto no credit. That was the best BPaq you'll ever see and Soto just readjusted and left him for dead in the corner in the 7th.

personally,i don`t think that barrios has comparable fire power to soto.....he may be a bit more awkward...and throw more punches....

but, soto throws punches with very bad intentions....and he throws them correctly.....he`s explosive whereas barrios is just determined...you can see where a barrios is more suitable for guzman`s style...less height...less worry about getting caught with one fight changing punch or combination....

guzman will have to be on his game...cause he`s smaller....and hasn`t shown the penchant for stopping guys as he`s stepping up in weight....

what worries me about soto is that i`ve seen him kind of go into lulls in a few fights...he picks his spots...sometimes a little too much...

i hope he realizes that he`s gonna have to pressure guzman and make him fight....

i think soto, barring multiple knockdowns, will be hard pressed to decision guzman....i just have trouble with that scenario....he decisioned rocky juarez?...sure...but,juarez is another guy that gets outworked....goes into those lulls....

will soto get schooled by the experienced master technician?....

thats fine.....i just hope that soto doesn`t hurt guzman early and guzman ends up fighting an overly cautious, defensive "just do enough to eek out a points win" kinda fight...

thats the worst case scenario....

i`m very anxious to see this one...

tony...this teke dude has no clue what to do with a lefty that moves to his own right.....

as long as abell keeps moving right, teke`s lost.....

he has no idea how to slide and cut off the ring.....but,thats good......lol:142smilie

wow....

abell sucks...but that fight wasn`t close,imo......

farhood`s full of crap....i`d like to see the punchstat on teke......all abell did was take a step right, and teke had to reset ....i don`t think i`ve ever seen a guy throw fewer punches....
hard to believe that guy sparred with big names.....he`s terrible...

as we saw, abell`s k.o. mark was the product of the soft opposition and the ham `n egger midwest circuit.....

most importantly,though,it`s a winner!......

good job,bud.........

yeah 1.38 is -290 not -190. My silly maths mistake.

Added another small bet on Hawkins via pts. Just hedging a bit, I hate Virchis at the moment and he came in at the top end of his weight and Hawkins came in ok.

Took a micro bet on Hoffman vs Dimen as a draw and a small bet on the over (both appear to be in shape) I'll be watching it, so i gotta have something to cheer for.

Thanks for the Abell tips. I look forward to backing his opponent when he steps up.

Barros at +700

Barros at +700

Drozd seems a bit flawed to me and could get caught. 45/315 for me

here are my plays

virchis hawkins over at 200.

hawkins at 770 dog play (very small)

Dimitrenko inside at + 240. I have a funny feeling about that one, instinct play not based on reason.

soto inside at 450 and soto straight. Guzman is at the end of nice parlay so i break even if he wins.
