+280 now....you know what angulo`s gonna do...he`s gonna try and walk kirkland down....

maybe the lefty stance gives angulo problems?...maybe he walks into some serious shots or gets cut up?....he`s a face-fighter...

might just grab a little kirkland and wait for a hedge prop...

have to admit those odds are wider than i figured they`d be...

Angulo; not one full round fought in 18 months. I still cannot forget Kirkland getting dogged by Ishida in one round. I think Kirk must have thought Ishida was a cream puff and just was not ready for a motivated opponent. He knows what Angulo can bring to the table. I would say Kirkland's team may want him to go to work early to attack the possible ring rust that may exist. Will be interesting to see the round prop. Goes the distance will be plus odds me thinks. Recently Kirkland has been in with some real tomato cans. Angulo fights only on holidays. Both guys think a KO is the only way to win a fight. Don't think either of these wants to/can go 12, if scheduled.

Surprised with the hints of belief in Kirkland actually winning this fight. Unless he had a steel plate inserted in his chin recently its fairly obvious he will get knocked out.

Angulo at home, arguably hits harder, and has the vastly superior chin. Kirkland and his team are maniacs for taking this fight as it will probably end his career as a legitimate prospect.

Fair line around -600 o/u who knows, very low, maybe 5.5/6.5 round with the under favored.

Kirklands "break" from boxing hasnt been good for him, and getting knocked out by Ishida is really really concerning when you face a guy like Angulo.

Angulo can be a bit methodical and plodding, but I suppose he wont have to chase Kirkland too much...

Should be a good fight! And I expect Angulo to win!

when you`re -400 and change to beat an opponent, yes, you are expected to win....

all i`m saying is that the guy has no defense...and from what i`m seeing on boxrec, hasn`t fought any notable lefties.....he has an iron chin, but he`s easier to hit than kim kardashian...

honestly, how many in here picked cintron over angulo with conviction(i don`t mean taking a flyer because of crazy odds)?.....

he probably dummies kirkland....but believe me,stranger things have happened(within the last month,as a matter of fact)...it`s boxing...the theater of the absurd....

we've seen this story before, a dude that looked horrible supposed to get crushed

i looked at polls and predictions, it's about 80% perro, 20% mandingo

on paper, angulo should trounce, but never that ez

I prefer to bet chalk, but i like kirkland BIG on enemy territory

katsidis should destroy ricky burns on paper, but on a hunch i'm going with scottish ricky

Excerpts from "The Vegas Runner" @ Gaming Today

Excerpts from "The Vegas Runner" @ Gaming Today

The bout I?m looking forward to most this weekend is at Wembley Arena in London for the WBO Interim Lightweight title fight between Ricky Burns (32-2-0, 9 KO?s) and Michael Katsidis (28-4-0, 23 KO?s).

Burns opted to relinquish his WBO Super Featherweight title and move up in weight rather than take a fight against mandatory challenger Adrien Broner. His opponent Katsidis comes in off a quick KO of Michael Lozada but had lost both of his prior two fights against Juan Manuel Marquez and Robert Guerrero.

The betting line has Katsidis a -175 favorite with the take back on Burns at +155. Many may be surprised Burns is a "home-dog" but odds makers are well aware Katsidis is very familiar with his surroundings having fought plenty in England throughout his career.

Fans have always appreciated Katsidis for his style because he is an action-fighter who is willing to bang with anyone. Burns is coming up in weight, but he is a tall and lanky fighter who will have a size advantage.

The only chance for Burns to win this fight will be by being the much busier boxer and out landing Katsidis for a win on the scorecards. So far when Katsidis has stepped up against elite fighters he has not been able to score a big win.

But in this bout, it?s the opposite.

Burns is the one taking a big step up in class. As far as "strength of schedule" it?s a huge advantage for Katsidis who has been in against much better opposition.

We?ll wager Katsidis at -175 to walk away with the WBO title when all the dust settles.

On Pregame.com Premium plays: 33-15 (69%)

Like the song; "Ricky don't lose that number", I'd say the number is 12. If Kat doesn't stop Rickster or win almost all the rounds convincingly, I think he may get jobbed. Moving up 10 lbs is a lot for a 130lb guy. Ricky plays catch me f**k me and tries to survive to get a paper win.

run ricky run!

seein ricky in the past, gotta think who is this guy wanting to step up to katsidis, he'll get blown away

but kats a lot of mileage on odometer, starts bleedin fast, tail end of career with very little improvement in technique

he looked sharp vs lozada, but lozada a glorified mannequin

This piece basically sums up my thoughts on Katsidis/Burns. Another gift line thanks to the British boxing/hype scene. If Burns was from anywhere else in the world he would be a total unknown to the boxing world. He is one step up from a tomato can. Vacants/runs away from Broner and now has to move up in weight and fight a brutal, relentless puncher.

Burns is going to be overwhelmed by the pressure from the start and its hard to see this ever resembling a real fight.
