Man, looking over the dossier for this weekend, and there are ALOT of bettable fights out there. I think we should see a huge menu with the books for this week!

I mentioned this at the end of last weeks board, but I've got Drian Francisco tonight for a medium type play. Got him early at nice odds, and he has steadily climbed. He's sittin' at about -240 now, and I'm not sure I'd touch him at that.

Jumped in with you at -200.

All depends on how legit the kid is - tough venue to be sure.

Let's get this.

:0074

By the way, this is being aired on Thai TV3, which is a public station. I have seen Olydong fight on there, so we might be able to catch a stream of this.

Nice Ghost!

A stream would be great. What time approx. does it get going? I assume 3am or so EST.

Fight recap from SolarSports (Manila):

Round 6 starts off with phonebooth fighting. Drian is landing counters but the Thai connects with another low blow. ref deducts a point now

A big body punch by Drian sends the Thai down!

Drian tried to finish the fight but he runs out of time. End of round 6. 10-7 for Drian. KD + point deduction

The Thai's corner is panicking in the break. Drian misses with two punches to start the 7th round.

Round 7 goes to the Thai. Start of round 8. Drian lands a big uppercut that staggers the Thai. Duangpetch is throwing low blows again

The referee (Smoger) is warning the Thai for low blows. There was no point deduction for his last one but there should have been.

Round 9: Both the fighters appear to be getting tired. There's now a welt under the Thai's right eye. Thais is grabbing and holding to rest.

Drian wins Round 9. The score is close but Drian needs to put the Thai away to be sure of a win.

A combination capped by a right uppercut ends the fight. there won't be any home-cooking tonight!
Drian wins the WBA interim super flyweight title!

The Thai crowd is silent. This is reminiscent of the Pacquiao-Sasakul fight

It's never to early for good start of the week!
Congrats guys :toast:
It would be fun to know if fight went over or not.
Need good start myself after my worst weekend ever by far thnx to Mr. Caballero.
Two fights ago he was crying of joy after he KOed Molitor and now this disinterested approach. WTF
And why is everybody urging Litzau to hang them up? He is obviously not that shot as everybody thinks. His legs don't get buckled, he takes good punch ...
Only guy that saw that coming before that I recall is from weekend preview on BLH site.
But all this is all for last week thread, sorry guys, still bitter :)

Better than a good start on that one :0074 :0074 :0074. Another excellent call by Quannah.

Would be icing on the cake if it went over 9 1/2. Didnt wager the over/under but Please post if you have the time. :0074

Yes, I am showing a "win" grading, too. I don't know whether it is just me, but I am no longer seeing the results when I click on "Results" at BoxRec. For me, the results start with Nov. 30 in Brazil, a fight that has yet to happen. Oh well, what is it they say: "If it wasn't this it would be something else."?

OVER hit I believe

OVER hit I believe

I was watching on a very choppy internet stream....Thai TV 3.....it was breaking up every 5 seconds.

But it looked to me like the knockout came later in round 10. It was a vicious knockout also.

Immediately afterwards the Thai was in bad shape.

It was a great fight, from the little I could make out clearly. The Thai fighter started very strong and the crowd was cheering him on wildly. But Francisco would not be denied. From what I say, the fight was probably even minus the knockdowns and a point deduction for a low blow. Of course, Francisco took the judges out of the equation, bless him.

Well done guys - Congrats on the early week winner.

Good News from Thailand....

Good News from Thailand....

Followed by bad news from Top Rank:

"Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has pulled out of the Saturday fight after waking with 103-degree fever this am, promoter Bob Arum says."

This from the LA Times

but now some good news

"Mexico's Jose Pinzon will replace Chavez Jr. and main event is now Nonito Donaire"

:00hour :00hour :00hour :00hour :00hour

I don't care about Chavez Jr. anyway - I want to see Soto-Antillion and Donaire-Sydorenko

It's OK, I see what they have done at BoxRec. Under "results" they now show a fight or fights that have yet to take place, and THEN start with the actual results. It took me a few minutes to work it out.
