Friday is headlined by the rematch between Pascal and Diaconu.

My man Hlatshwayo defends in S. Africa Friday.

Big Mouth Kevin Johnson fights Vitali on Saturday. Ustinov and Banks on the undercard in separate bouts. Ustinov fights Monte Barrett.

Showtime has Bradley-Peterson Saturday (along with the return of Darchinyan).

HBO counter-programs Saturday with Baby Bull-Paulie 2 and the return of NOT SO VICIOUS Victor Ortiz on the undercard.

Nice to see that many did great this week. Balzay killed my week, but it was very bad pick on my part.
For next week, what everyone think of Peterson vs Bradley?
The odds are out on this fight for a while. I took Peterson at +205 but now I see that he offered at +250. It shows that I am probably in minority.
So what do you guys think about this fight?
By the way, I have small bet on Kevin Jhonson. I think sooner or later Vitaly will lose to someone, who knows maybe it will be Jhonson.

So Cal
Left jab Johnson has no chance whatsoever. He is devoid of any power and has never been in the ring with anyone of note. He uses a reasonably quick but pawing jab as his best weapon. It looks like a mismatch even worse than the Arreola fight because there is no way Johnson can win by KO.
He just doesn't have the power to be a threat.

I agree. Johnson's right hand on his 1-2 is very slow and without power. His best power punch is his left hook which he rocked Devin Vargas. But I he probably won't get close enough to land it consistently and even then it might not have much effect on Vitali.

I don't care about Vitaly vs Jhonson fight. Vitaly should win, but also Bird had next to no chance against Vitaly and yet he won.
What I care is, what do you guys think of Bradley vs Peterson? Is anyone have strong feelings which way this one might go?

I like Bradley, HOWEVER, Peterson has hardly lost a single rd in his career. He's tall, rangy and he can box. That can be a problem for even some of the better fighters. Shane was considered # 1 in the world when Forrest owned him. Peterson doesn't have the pop of Vernon but he does have similar skills. Take with a grain of salt but a rumor went out a few months back that Peterson had his way with Floyd in sparring. I'll take Bradley but won't be surprised if Peterson presents some big issues for him.

Peterson is a very good fighter. He is slick and has been brought along nicely by top rank. But he can't crack an egg. I have won a few bets on him by decision.

Bradley has impressed me a GREAT deal this past year. Winning the title in England, coming back from a MASSIVE knockdown against Holt, and demolishing Campbell. Bradley is SO TOUGH mentally - one of the strongest in the game right now in that regard.

I like Bradley to win this fight. He has fought much better competition and is on top of his game right now.

I think Peterson's only path to victory is on points. Trust me, if that shot from Kendall Holt didn't stop the Desert Storm, there is NO WAY ON EARTH that Peterson will win by KO.

I don't think it's a bad underdog bet, though Andrey. An undefeated fighter is always dangerous. He hasn't learned how to lose yet.

Thanks for sharing opinions on Bradley vs Peterson.
When this fight first was mention, I immediately had a feeling that Peterson will win this. So I expected odds will be even due to location. I did not expected Peterson being so big underdog. But if everyone like Bradley here then this explains that.

Lamont Peterson (+205) - large Looks like I may be going against the madmen grain on this one. I really like Peterson here. Bradley is an excellent fighter, like Ghost said very tough mentally...get's the absolute most out of his skills. But I do not think that Bradley's skills, however honed, will be quite enough here. Very very tough and close fight. But Peterson is a special fighter. He has that intangible element which, I think, is going to make him a great one. Like Romi said, Peterson has barely lost a round. He is also extremely tough mentally, coming from a destitute childhood. He is taller and smooth as silk. His last fight againt W.Blain (although Blain was disappointing) was impressive - the way Peterson just set in and banged away... In what I think will be a sensational fight, I like Peterson to show his true potential and shine.

All of the major odds are already out for this week, so I gues we can get the picks rolling.

Paulie Malignaggi (+115) - medium/large To me, Paulie clearly won the first fight... I don't see any reason why he won't do it again here. Having gotten screwed just like he said he would, I think that Paulie will get the benefit of the doubt on the scorecards this time around. Diaz has peaked...he looked chubby and slow at JW, and I thought Paulie actually made him look small. Magic Man keeps the Baby Bull on the end of his jab all night for a clear points win. No BS this time.

Wish I knew this info prior to the bout, I would have loaded up on Andre Ward:

Andre Ward just became the WBA world super-middleweight boxing champion. Outfielder Marlon Byrd doubled his season-high home run total this year for the Texas Rangers. In March, British sprinter Dwain Chambers ran one of the five fastest 60-meter times in history.

Each has been assisted by a man who earlier this decade orchestrated one of the darkest scams committed in sports history: Victor Conte.

...Ward said he used a $4,000 IHT unit from Conte for "about 10 or 11" of Conte's prescribed 15 daily treatments while preparing for his Nov. 21 win over Mikkel Kessler. Ward downplayed the IHT training in his win, although he said that, "By the 11th [round], I caught my second wind. That's when I caught" Kessler.

Said Conte about Ward's championship run: "It's worked exactly as I hoped it would."

Conte said he's provided his nutritional supplements to Ward and other athletes, including heavyweight boxer Eddie Chambers, who will fight Wladimir Klitschko for a world title in March.

Chambers says he uses many Conte products, from energy shakes to pills that help him recover from weight-lifting sessions and allow him to sleep better. He said he plans to use IHT training before the Klitschko bout.

Very interesting stuff there Ghost. I honestly believe several fighters are using performaning enhancing drugs and are able to fly in under the radar due to finding a way to not test dirty. Both Hop and Mosley fought like 30 yr olds v Pav and Marg. How the fck do these guys increase their punch output after looking so so for several yrs????
Where there is a will, there is a way. Obviously I have no proof but we're seeing guys do things that haven't been seen before. There has to be a logical explanation.
