Cornelius White +1500

Kell Brook -10000
Luis Galarza +2000

Will post the picks later during the week, as a lot of the US bookies are not offering everything yet and I dont want to mess it up for our US forum-buddies there.

Good luck to the crew! :toast:

Hi Frank

It is the BoxRec style to use the letters NC followed by a question mark if they are still waiting for the result of a fight. You will notice the letters "NC ?" are used in a number of fights in the BoxRec results section. This is quite confusing until you've figured it out. My information is that the Azerbaijan show was postponed.

Thanks for the clarification. I could not help but think NC meant "no contest". I mean, I did'nt think it meant North Carolina or anything similar. Guess communications from that part of the world are spotty.

I'm not too impressed with Carl Froch. He has decent boxing ability to go along with above average power and a good chin but imo he is not a top level fighter. Hand speed and footwork is uninspiring. I thought he lost fairly to Dirrell and Kessler and was getting thoroughly outclassed against Taylor before the gas tank for Jermain dried up. His only credible wins are over Pascal (and I don't rate Pascal too highly) and Abraham. The win over the Road Warrior was ok I guess but he really needed to turn it on in the second half of the fight to pull it out.

Not entirely sold on Ward as a top 5 lb for lb guy but he's definitely got excellent skills and should have more then enough to school Froch. I think he could even stop Froch later in the fight if he wants to as I think it will be a fairly one sided beating. Odds reaching 10-1 on a stoppage might not be a bad idea, might even end on a DQ as Froch tends to have dirty tendencies which might get out of hand if he is getting beaten up.

Betting this week:

Betting this week:

Still looking into the Ward vs F. fight to make some add bets...

Regarding the fight on Wed. I dont think I have to mention what my big bet will be, you should know ;)

All other fights that are currently available are no game for given the very expensive lines.

Cheers
Lunch

Baring a KO by Froch, Ward will win this. Froch does not stay busy enough, and almost looks bored in the ring. He shoe shines a lot of shots and paws with the jab. He is however a dangerous counter puncher and loves to throw the right hand after a heated exchange. Ward will just LOOK better and most likely stay the busier of the two. Also the hands down approach by Froch looks unpolished and the judges like a pro; this is not the Olympics.

You really think Froch can win 7+ rounds here? Froch blocks punches with his face, I cannot envision a points victory for Froch under any circumstances.

Froch has a legitimate punchers chance but beyond that I see no hope for him.

But last time I was heavy on Katsidis and Angulo and you were right on there so you have me thinking now.

i've seen stranger things happen in boxing...

ward beat kessler
kessler beat froch

froch beats ward???

i actually think froch will outsmart ward

who'd a thunk it?

you don't even have to bet that much to win a healthy amount on froch

and can hedge on ward by dec, but i'm not much of a hedger

roll the dice son, sometimes you got to throw darts

Comparing like opponents is not fool proof. Style make fights as you have heard a million times. Ward fights ugly and uses the Hopkins style of punching and grabbing, but he skates by somehow. I see a lot of Texas two step here. Like they should get a room there will be so much hugging. So far I am looking Ward-decision/Froch/inside. But I had Margarito wrong and Khan also so who knows?
