nice catch on the +140....

i doubt that ruiz` shenanigans will play well in the hinterlands..... he may get disqualified...

and if he can`t do his shtick,he may be in trouble with this giant....

my question....how slow is valuev?....because as much as i hate ruiz, that feint and first step of his is deceiving...ask golota, holi and kirk johnson....

if valuev is sloth-slow,he may get hit....alot...he`s so big, though, that i think ruiz would have trouble stopping him...

i was looking at the over...i see this turning into a clinch fest.....we know ruiz sets a horribly slow pace.....i`ve heard valuev isn`t a 100 punch per round guy either...

just worried that,if things start to go south for valuev, the d.q. in germany is always a possibility...and there is the "stoney" factor....lol

i`m with you on valuev...but,my record going against ruiz is horrible....

maybe small on the under...

shoot! I had this on my 'radar' screen for over two weeks, my thinking was 'whoever is the underdog is a good play' valuev because it's in germany, ruiz because he's the much better fighter.

so out comes the line at + valuev, I hesitate and this morning it's + ruiz. scalp dummy scalp :cursin:

sorry about the rant box, didn't want to start a new thread to b#tch.

good luck

That worked out well, as posted in geto's thread i took the Peter under at +170 early. 5dimes has -140 on the over so I scalped it for a nice profit either way.

Now I just have to decide what to do with Valuev +140...and Ruiz now +115.

Okay I see Box that you have a future ticket on Castillo...I figured as much...Now my question to you is...do you believe this rubber match will not go the distance again?

Happy Holidays.

ps-How high do you see this line Castillo going? Right now he is up to -165 or so.

Thanks.

One and one on the week so far. Damn you Peter, all the sudden you have no interest in boxing. The Haye under was easy money. 45 seconds in the first round, with the 10 count Haye is a winner. Hopefully the Ruiz/Valuev over comes through for a winning week..........

I thought I was the only one that noticed this as well. How could neither announcer or fighters corner notice this?!?! That was just the last kick in the balls for my under bet. The PPV was ok at best for $20. I never saw Sultan before. I was hoping for Duddy to have a better opponent. I wish Urango was still on the card. JD Chapman looks like crap. I knew he faced nothing but bums. Peter looked as if he had no interest for the whole fight....

I actually tried to play the Haye under 5.5 at -120 discarding my rule about not laying wood on unders. But when I submitted the wager they said the line had changed and when I refreshed it was -150. Too much wood for me, esp considering that Gurov recently went 8 rounds with Mormeck. However...given the style, power, and chin of both fighters, I knew it wouldn't last long. Figured it would be bombs away from the opening bell...and it was.

gl on the over tomarrow

wish me luck on Valuez...and Ruiz...lol

I heard some place in the city will be showing the Ruiz/Valuev since they are a German bar, the ycarry German channels. If I feel motivated enough, I might mosey on over there. The over would make for a nice weekend. To bad Peter had to fumble last night.......

The first two didn't go the distance and don't expect this one to be any different. Unfortunately the price on ko props and fight won't go distance props will be adjusted.

Castillo is up to -175 now, but only -150 at other books (btw there's a scalp at pinny and sportsbook) I don't think you'll see Corrales get much higher than +175

I missed it but will try to catch a replay this weekend

I made some decent cash on Ibragimov when he fought Friday Ahunununya (had to lay -400 or so) I watched that fight and wasn't real impressed with Sultan, he clearly won but it wasn't onesided at all, Friday actually got the best of him in many exchanges. Sultan is basically a blown-up cruiserweight, with cruiser power imo. Don't be too impressed by his stoppage of Whitaker, even the light punching Krasniqi stopped Mount Goofi.

What's everyone else think of Ibragimov?

This was my first time seeing Sultan. I agree that he did look like a big cruiser. However, he did add on some extra weight for the fight. Goffy still got dropped 3 times (Once might have been a trip) so I'd say he has adequate power for the division. As bad as the division is, I see him having a good shot to do well. Let's face it, the champs in the heavyweight division aren't that great......

Go for the under on Haye vs Gurov. Haye is a muderous banger - quite possibly the hardest puncher P4P in the world today. Gurov too is a good technician and big banger. Both have suffered early KO losses in their time, Haye has suspect stamina aswell.

This one will not go past 4. Its a toughie to call, I would got for Haye - think he will catch Gurov early.

Think you were right!!! Boom KO 1, that was beautiful$$$$$$$ for anyone who knew the 2 fighters backgrounds. Cruiserweights are getting darn interesting, can't wait for Mormeck Bell, free on showtime I think- imagine that? Arrogant Judah on the undercard- what an ass, they way he disrespected his opponent at the press conference

Looks good for the UK scene with that win, the next time I will do a BWRP I will have 3 British fighters in the world top ten.

Thompson is still in the top ten while he officially wins - although he looked shot and second best on the Hatton vs Maussa undercard.

Nelson looked good with the win last month, and I think this win geniunally puts Haye into the top ten (I like putting the European champion in, I had Gurov there).

And who knows if Maccrinelli beats Nelson (or loses controvesially) we could have 4 UK fighters in the ten.

i`ll tell ya`....this valuev/ruiz bout is sooooo tough to cap......not ever having seen valuev....

i`m getting cold feet on my valuev wager....albeit small...

i just don`t know...not having seen the guy with my own eyes, whether he`s reasonably talented....or he`s the european tye fields....

what i think is that unless valuev is a total nothing,he should be able to hang in this bout for 9.5....ruiz` last 9 fights have gone 10 or more rounds....in one, oquendo was stopped from exhaustion as much as ruiz....the other was the d.q. when ruiz threw himseldf on the canvas vs kirk johnson....

i wouldn`t lay-225..i caught the -149...

that won`t work in germany...lol

the d.q. is a real concern in germany...on ruiz...if things go south for valuev...

but,i have to think...unless he gets knocked down several times, that valuev has a chance to win...if he finishes...and he SHOULD finish...

all ruiz fights are tough to score...usually slow paced with lots of clinching and rough stuff...

this guy towers over ruiz....and outweighs him by almost 100 pounds...he`s not a big, fat load....

i hear that ruiz` pace might tire valuev....ruiz` pace is sloooww....and given all the clutching and holding, you`d think that valuev is smart enough after 30 odd fights to be able to use that size to his advantage....

ruiz should have trouble holding and wrestling a guy this size....

ruiz` first step...with what will be a looping right hand...should be the one thing that valuev`s corner should have made him aware of....

but,can he fight?....

mayorgafan?....have you seen this guy?

i know he had real trouble with donald..that`s very worrisome...but,donald actually has some quicks and some skills...a different style fighter than ruiz...

also...king now has some options on valuev.....and the german boxing scene is reportedly very lucrative....

valuev is very marketable....i suspect king would like to see valuev prevail...more marketability...

but,if he really can`t fight... he`ll lose...
very telling that the last big fight of the year has no props....draw...such and such by decision...

i think the books are scared to fool with the props..

i`m rambling...i just don`t know if valuev is for real...

Found these at sportsbook.com...

Draw 17-1

Ruiz by Decision 11-5

Ruiz by KO - TKO - DQ 2-1

Valuev by Decision 2-1

Valuev by KO - TKO - DQ 19-10

I played the draw at 17-1 small...why not?
