Great Week Guys!

Great Week Guys!

Danny ?Green Machine? Green +285 - Medium - WIN

Tim Coleman +300 - Very Small - WIN

Arreola vs Minto Under 7.5 -145 -Medium - WIN
Arreola just has too much power for Minto who will be there to be hit. Minto has a decent chin, but Arreola will be focused and looking to make a statement that he is still a contender.

Witherspoon vs Thompson Over 9.5 -120 -Medium - LOSS
This will be a jab fest with a high punch volume by each man. I favor Tony because of talent and facing better opposition, but Witherspoon throws 60+ punches a round as opposed to Tony with about 40+. The judges might award volume, not accurary.

Khan-Salita UNDER 9.5 -150- Medium - WIN
Salita is susceptible to average boxer's power early in fights. Khan has good speed and power to catch Salita early in rounds 1-3 for a one punch KO. If not, Khan will still stop him by accumulation of damage, but I think this one is over within 4 rounds. Khan is a class above Salita in every category.

Kevin Mitchell -115 -Small - WIN
I know little about Mitchell, except that he was an amatuer champion, he is fast and throws good combinations. I am making this play because Prescott's is a wild swinger with poor fundmentals and can be outboxed.

Paul Williams vs Sergio Gabriel Martinez Over 9.5 -170-Medium - WIN
Maritnez is a great boxer with good footwork and is hard to hit clean. Williams is a high volume puncher that rarely throws with power unless he is against a flat-footed fighter like Winky. Both guys have great endurance and look to be in terrific shape. I see this one going the full 12 and 15 if they wanted to go old school.

6-1 for the week! You know what they say, "Money won is twice as sweet as money earned."

Good job guys. Nice to see good discussions on the upcoming fights so we could get as much information about the fighters as possible. Also, thank you Graham for the steller analysis as usual for this weeks' fights!

Cheers :00x1

Thanks Matt and Ghost. I love doing this. Some weeks work out better than others. An under-the-radar preview that gave me particular pleasure this week was for the Euri Gonzalez-Cosme Rivera fight. I had a very tight "Graham's Odds" line for that fight with Gonzalez a narrow favourite. Only one book, 5 Dimes, offered a wagering opportunity on that fight and they might have copied my line (which is perfectly OK with me) and the fight reflected the odds, a majority decision win for Gonzalez ... the bout was one round on one card from being a draw ... Gonzalez was wobbled very badly by a right hand in the last round and briefly looked on the verge of being stopped. A good. tough, tense fight with the issue in doubt all the way through. ... I just don't have time to look at all the fights in depth so I have to settle for a selection ? I don't like to post a preview unless I have gone into a fight deeply, and as we all know that can be very time consuming. Congratulations to the MadJack crew on a great week. Some weeks this year have been brutally discouraging for some knowledgeable guys; comebacks are indeed pleasurable.

Just watched the fight again
I tell you what - it was close
but is there a more under-appreciated guy in boxing than Sergio Martinez?
This guy is just a GREAT fighter and has been unbelievably unfortunate this year.
I could see calling tonight close for PWill (I had Martinez winning), but in February he KO'ed Cintron and outscored him and what does he have to show for it?

1 DRAW and 1 LOSS in his last two bouts. It really is a travesty.

Here is to you - Sergio Martinez. You are my man.

A week with some small losses for me as I was big on Huck and Thomson and they recovered nearky all the losses...

The only thing that makes me xxxxx
is the Martinez fight I had a decent Amount on M by dec at +600 and straight at +365 not to forget that I had money on a Draw...

I could xxxxx the xxxxx judge .....

I want to watch it again but I had PW ever so slightly but it really could have gone either way 115-113. Martinez is solid and before last night, highly underappreciated. Fightscene is reporting that he has options with either Spinks or Margarcheeto. I like Sergio in both those. He obviously isnt the same fighter that got stopped 9 yrs back. The guy that fought last night reverses that outcome IMO. I wouldn't give Spinks much of a shot. That was a GREAT GREAT fight last night and :mj06: to both fighters. Hopefully Martinez will get a much deserved shot in 2010.

The Witherspoon/Thompson fight was my downfall for the weekend. I had the over in a parlay that would have cashed BIG if only that fight would have won.....

Such is life

Great capping for the week guys

Fightnews printed the scorecard from the Pwill-Martinez fight:
http://www.fightnews.com/?p=31859#more-31859

OK....now I am super pissed....

this fukhead Pierre Benoist only scored round 2 for Martinez ! He scored the last 10 rounds for Williams !
:scared :scared :scared :scared

Even worse, the other two judges, Lederman and Carter, scored the first round 10-9 Williams !
WTF !!?!?!?!!?!???!?!??!!?!!??!

Gotta give it up a little for my secret weapon... THOMPSON!!...THOMPSON!!... And GREEN, oh man...

All right, humbly give thanks to the boxing gods for this past week...movin' on... another interesting weekend on the rise. :SIB
