frankly,i`m amazed....and extremely grateful to hbo and their 24-7 series on the big fight....

they`ve done a fantastic job of hyping/ promoting ricky hatton as the "good guy" and mayweather as the "bad guy"(which in my biased eye is about right).....

mayweather`s pretty much a reprehensible thug(to my white-bread sensibilities) and hatton is the ultimate blue collar/hard working family man....you don`t get any more likable and wholesome than hatton and his family....

and hbo has succeeded in making it seem like hatton has an excellent chance of winning....

this is where we part company... ...

that is hilarious Weasel. My mindset is right with you. I can't even see this going the distance. Two friends of mine already won't budge off of Hatton because of the hatred towards Mayweather. I have to believe there won't be anything shady because most of the money will be on Hatton. Books are not gonna lose millions and i mean millions to satisfy Oscar. And its gonna be a lot of millions. I tell ya man some of the things Hatton said were as funny as shit especially when he said its been nice traveling with a six year old:mj07: :mj07: :mj07: but i got to do what i think is best. If i was 21 i would be all over Hatton just like I was with Gerry Cooney. I aint making that mistake again. I think there is gonna be a new song tomorrow night. OOOOOOOOOHHHHHH Rickkkkkkkkkkkkkey's GOOOOOONNNNNNNA get Flatttttttttttttttttttten

Just watched both guys last fight. I swear Castillo took a dive to make this fight i mean think about it. Hatton coming off two bad performances and now fighting someone Mayweather went the distance with and getting a 4th rd knockout? and wasn't it noted Castillo was in huge debt going into that match? As for Mayweather he might be the most overrated fighter in the world. Yes he has great skills but please he fights to survive not to fight. Leonard would have ate him up and so would have Hearns. Hagler Im not so sure cause Floyd would have avoided him the whole fight. P4p yes he is but who is out there? I still think he wins this fight easily and i know he can finish this if he wants to but will he? Looks to me he is just in there to pick up a pay check and do enough to win. Looking at Hattons style again there is no possible way he can win. 3 hard shots to the body and he is finish. Problem is that floyd might only throw one.

feel like i just watched a rugby scrum.....

according to the hbo crew, mayweather loses.....of course...

after hearing before the fight how strong hatton was and how the weight and size won`t matter....after hearing about the pressure he`d apply(which was substantial).....mayweather(who i dislike as a fan but loooovve as a gambler)is depicted by merchant and lampley as beating an over-the- hill dlh and a "small" hatton(whose size i said would be an issue all along)....

these guys will continue to move the bar for mayweather until he hits his mid-30`s and hits the wall.....

he shouldn`t be fighting monsters like margarito and the big lefty paul ???(who`s name escapes me)......

shove a thorny bramble up their asses, floyd, and retire....then,blow all your money irresponsibly and come back ala joe louis and take your beatings with your legacy still intact.....

perfect scenario.....

btw, that was a beautiful, textbook left hook.....and how about the assist from that ringpost?....

never seen that before...lol

Another average weekend. Absolutely kicking myslef for not betting the draw in the H?ussler match up. That had draw written all over it.

Amazing performance by Floyd. Hatton wanted it bad and was prepared to risk all and Floyd mastered him inside and outside. God I hope he fights Cotto. I'd take Floyd at -1000 in that fight.

So all even on the boxing. The amount I won on Floyd = the amount I lost on H?ussler.

Looks's like I'll be just ahead on the cricket though. Sangakkara only has to score 2 runs to beat Kevin Pieterson in a head to head bet. Two other small bets down the toilet already.

Floyd is something special. All the time in the infight I was thinking, how to beat that shell of his? Turned to the side, head tucked under his left shoulder, right glove against his jaw, no chance. and boxing at a distance is not an option either. Great to watch.

imo,ricky hatton is a 140 pounder.....he`s a beast at 140...period....

some guys can move up a weight division or two and get by...some guys are born into a division and that`s where they belong......ala aaron pryor.....i thought arguello was the better fighter...he just went one weight class to far up the ladder...and met pryor at pryor`s optimum weight.....

hatton just is a jr welter...that extra 7 pounds puts a strain on a guy of his stature.....

doesn`t diminish him in my opinion...it just is....it`s not his fault...he`s a gamer...he`s all heart.. and the fact that he took this shot shouldn`t diminish him....

he fought the right fight...he worked his ass off....

how can you not respect him for bucking the odds, coming to america to fight the top pfp fighter in a weight class that really didn`t suit him?....

please ricky...no cotto`s,margarito`s,paul williams`...and no dlh`s ...i know dlh was licking his chops....don`t do it ricky.......they`re just to big....

i for one am tickled that he got the huge payday...he deserved it...

he goes back to 140...fights in manchester for awhile to get his sea legs back...he`ll be back...

i love the guy....

Yeah, he fought his style, but Floyd had figured him out and was superior in the infight. As I expected, he was open to right hands all night.

I dont know about a beast at 140. He's been going the distance as often as not at late. I think he's game as anything, great motor, but he's not a beast. He's like a tick, just trying to bury into you and he wont go away.

DLH vs Hatton wont be made. I can imagine DLH vs Cotto. That's a real money show and if he wins, a nice career ending win for DLH. I can also imagine Hatton vs Cotto, which would be a very interesting fight. Can Cotto cope with the workrate? But I hope its going to be Floyd vs Cotto, cos I'd like to put a packet on Floyd at any odds.

p.s. Sangakarra screwed my weekend and was out for 1 run. To put that in perspective, he has been averaging 75 runs in his last 20 matches. And today he gets 1, when I got my money on him and need him to get a paltry 2. Damm that shits me.
