It could happen I suppose but the fact that Browning went 10 rounds with Garcia at 154 in his last fight makes me think this could go some rounds. However, Rodriguez appears to be a class above Browning who is now 40 yrs old, so maybe he gets a late stoppage. At +170 I can see a small play on the Under.

Interesting. I watched Garcia vs Browning and it was very strange fight. Garcia looked like can win with ease, but for some reason he did everything possible to lose the fight. It is like Garcia goal was to lose the fight at any cost.
And Browning does not looked good at that fight at all, it just seems that Garcia want to lose too bad.

Hey BL , just back here to stroke my ego LOL. How much of Alvaredo and Rodriguez have you or any other madjackers seen. I've seen Alvarado a couple of times- strong and tough looking kid, being brought along by Golden Boy I think. Didn't knock my socks off. I missed the chance to see Rodriguez win on Showtime against Omri Lowther, a stablemate of Paul Williams. Low KO ratio for Rodriguez but sounds like he brings it the whole fight.

I've seen them both fight once. I realize Rodriguez is a game fighter who likes to come forward, throws lots of punches and keeps the pressure on. But Alvarado is the more skilled fighter, he's also taller and stronger with much more power. Rodriguez is fighting outside of Cali for the first time in forever, and Alvarado appears to be the promoted or house guy should it go to the cards.

Would like to here opinions from the group on this one

Like the reasoning a lot- I've mostly worked Alvarado into parlays since -200 gives a nice boost, for example it takes Montiel's -130 and gives you +166 on Montiel if Alvarado wins. Montiel- MCastillo is a tough one and prob not one to put a bunch on , but I think Castillo might be a step past it. I think he was very lucky to get the 2nd decision against Munoz- I had Castillo and kissed the money good bye. Hasn't looked particulary sharp in his comeback bouts, however, his new trainer- Rudy Perez is a great one but I think Montiel gets up for this one.

Rudy Perez is the reason I'm taking Vazquez over Marquez again- stoppage of course. Vazquez only had half a camp or so with Perez last time. Sure many of you know this but Perez was with the great MAB from day one .

If Castillo could go 12 rounds without getting cut I would load up on the Over at -135

Castillo's thin skin gives Montiel another way to win the fight

I like Alvarado as well and -200 is a good price.

Lyakhovich weighed in at 250, kinda screws up my plan

Adding a parlay...

Valuev -300 / Mijares -425 / Klitschko -460...(even)...to win .50

LT's

Castillo-Montiel Draw +2200...lay .10 to win 2.2

Valuev-Lyak Draw +2250...lay .05 to win 1.1

Is that Marquez-Vasquez fight part of the Jermaine Taylor undercard?

If not when are they fighting and on what channel?

Thanks.

Congrats on Alvaron boxlocks and thanks for posting, I followed it based on you and fightwriter.com. Following big discrepancies between his lines and the books has won a few plays for me, he had Alvaron as -400, books -200.

My parlays are similar, I really like Spinks, and am considering putting the over in the Spinks fight in a few parlays this weekend at -330. He's feather fisted and Phillips hasn't been KOed in 20 years. Phillips can hit hard, I remember him decking Quartey recently, but I don't see Spinks in that position. It's in Spinks' hometown, he can potshot to a guaranteed decision.

Good luck.

Rodriguez won by 10 rd UD

The only problem I see with the Spinks Over is Phillips age combined with inactivity and recent stamina issues. Spinks can go all night, if Phillips fades in the late rounds I could see him getting stopped by an unaswered barrage of punches. But thats the only way it ends early...imo

Katsidis-Casamayor Under 10.5 +145

gl bl

I noticed this as well, but I think it's safer to play Katsidis by KO rather than the under. There is no way Casamayor wins inside, Katsidis inside will be well above +145 and probably a better bet.

Unless Katsidis is stopped on cuts, but I wouldn't bet on that.

I haven't seen Phillips as of late and am going by boxrec, his last 5 went over 10, and he got a KO in the 12th against a harder puncher in Reid, so I wouldn't have foreseen stamina issues. When it was scheduled for Jan19, fightwriter was complimentary to Phillips.

You're right about inactivity though, his last fight was a full year ago, I didn't notice that. Probably better to wait for updates.
