What's up with the lines? 5D still not up??
So, I've got some more ideas for Friday...we'll see when lines come out.
So far:
3parlay - Matthysse, Yefimovich, Porter - LARGE(-120)
Matthysse-Harris UNDER 7.5 - medium (-110)
I got Matthysee early, but still couldn't resist parlaying him with these two, who I consider solid favs. Harris' issues are well known, but I think it is worse than that, to the extent that he should not be allowed to fight anymore. In his last three fights, Harris was ko'd by J.Witter, dropped twice and heavy in the 1st round by a 7-4 fighter, and then collapsed due to clash of heads against N.Bolanos. All must remember the way Harris went blank and was carried from the ring in a stretcher...it was scary. And now they put him in with a savage slugger like Matthysse, who will surely hit him harder than that headbutt. Are they trying to get him hurt?
For Matthysse's part, I am not sold on him either. He has dominated local opposition in Argentina, although in devasting fashion. His older brother Walter was brought up in the same mold, and turned out to be a big dud. Something in Matthysse seems tough though, and I am sure he will, at some point, tag Harris, who may be winning the fight until he gets caught.
If Harris gets brutally ko'd, and I think he will, he's got to hang'em up.
D.McIntosh (+185) medium I'm playing a bit of a feeling here, but I think McIntosh has got the goods to pull the minor upset against Oakey. McIntosh is younger, faster, much taller, and more athletic than Oakey. I though he gave a decent account of himself against Cleverly, more competitive than Oakey actually. Oakey is seemingly on upswing from Prizefighter win, but I don't put much stock in that... Plus fight is just 10 rounds. If it was twelve I would be more concerned about Oakey's experience telling late. I think McIntosh can get out to an early lead here, then stave off a late rally by Oakey to take a close 10 round decision.
Porter-Jordan UNDER 5.5 (-110) - small What Matt said...
more to come...
