As posted above, I have a couple parlays riding on Klit this weekend. Personally I've been building parlays on Klit since the line came out and now have quite a bit riding on him

I think Klitchko rolls in this one, but I'm looking for opinions from the group as to how this fight will play out

I think Klitchko has enough advantages to win this fight. I will be greatly surprised if he loses.

I'll take the wide odds no problem, when I feel it's a "sure" thing but it's never a sure thing with Klit.
I think he remains the best hvy in the world but he is still vulnerable. Brock was beginning to have some moments when they fought and Wlad was looking a little bit unsure for a moment. Wlads confidence can be taken and if Iggy gets his attention w/the left then this will be a tough fight for Klit. Wlad doesn't handle it well when the going gets rough. That being said, I do like Wlad and probably by ko but I would be far from shocked to see Iggy pull it off. Good luck on your wagers.

I think Klitschko is at the top of his game right now and will probably win.

Iggy might give him some problems though with his movement, Brock isnt all that special, but he was actually able to win some rounds with his movement...

Stewart it seems is very aware of Iggys ability.

I wouldnt be surprsid if this fight goes longer than many people believe.

I dont see great value in -500.

@Box:
Have you seen Barashian fight!?
Ullrich has problems against boxer / mover - type of fighters...dont know if Barashian is that kind of guy.
His record doesnt look too special either.

I see the total is lined at 9.5 rounds. I think this one goes over. A smart fighter can hang on into the late rounds. I am on Klits in a parlay so I think he wins, but it may not be a walk in the park.

I haven't seen alot of Ibrag but if he does use his movement well with effective in and out fighting then I can see it going rds. If he utilizes the chagaev v valuev tactics then he can get in this one (not to say I'm comparing valuev to Klit but it is still the tactic Ibrag will need). Ibrag doesnt carry the pop of a Corrie Sanders so I wouldn't expect Ibrag to go after him like that. There may very well be value @+170 over.

I actually saw Ibrag back in 2005 at the Orleans. He was highly touted that nite. Funny story; he wins and they hold up this "belt" of sorts that he had. It was the size of a little pancake. People were laughing their asses off. One guy yelled out if it was his belt buckle. It was hilarious. Oh yea, it was the "Asia Pacific Hvy Weight" belt. I know a guy who won the Southern Nevada Carls Junior welterweight title. He still works there.:mj07:

Klit should win. The guys who upset Klit are guys with pop. Both Sanders and Brewster could punch.
Iggy has some skill but not the kind of pop to worry Klit.

you dont need alot of pop with Wlad chin.

All you got to do is clock him once and he goes
to queer street. Sultan hits from all angles and is
a awkward lefty.

Beware of the piranhas :scared

Klit has stamina issues, not a suspect chin, Sanders is the only guy to stop Klit with a punch. He was exhausted when Brewster got to him. Klit has taken punches from and gone the distance with much bigger punchers than Sultan. He will have to take Klit into deep waters to drown the big man. I'll post my thoughts on this fight tomarrow

Ulrich-Barashian

Ulrich-Barashian

Update....Laying .30 to win 2.1 on Barashian (+700 at bookmaker)

If I find out more positive information on Barashian, I'll add more to this wager. Right now my play is more against Ulrich than with Barashian. Most of time when I play these big underdogs, my logic is that the favorite is getting old and ripe for the picking. Odds are based on past performances, but old fighters are starting to decline while young fighters are getting better than their past performances suggest. When an old fighter hits the wall, it doesn't take a great fighter to get the job done, just a game one with decent skills, and that would be Barashian.

Why I think Ulrich is beatable this weekend...

1) On the downside of his career, coming off a 9 month layoff due to injuring his right hand. The injury is more significant than the layoff, had surgery on his right hand in Nov., and now fighting 3 or 4 months later. Not sure how long he was unable to use the hand at full force after the surgery. The right hand is his power hand, could easily become a factor in the fight.

2) Zerwas says Ulrich has trouble with boxer/mover type of fighters, and thats evident by looking at his record. Alot of close decisions, and close scorecards at the time he stopped his opponents late in the fight. He has bailed himself out of trouble several times, mostly with the right hand :SIB Kanfouah was dead even with Ulrich going into round 10, and Branco was ahead on all cards going into the 11th, just to name a couple. Barney lost by scores of 115-114 twice in Germany, Ulrich has had the location/promotion advantage in most of these close fights.

3) Given the political disadvantages for Barashian in this fight, I think a stoppage win is my best chance of cashing this lottery ticket. Barashian is not a huge puncher, but neither is GlenJohnson or Adamek, and both of those guys stopped Ulrich in 6 rounds. I like the fact that both were KO's and not TKO's, I also like that they were both in the first half of the fight, no late round fatigue issues. If those two guys can stop Ulrich, there's no dought in my mind that Barashian can.

Hmm, I can see your reasoning.

I actually made a small play on Ulrich against Barney and thought it would cost me dear....

Johnnson and Adamek are probably better punchers than Barashian though...

Ullrich is now training with Ralf Roccigiani, former German cruiser champ. Dont know which effect if will have on him, I actually like Ralf, straight down to earth guy....says Ullrich is in good shape.

Barashian +700 at bookmaker

Forgot to mention that Barashian was very competitive in his fight with Stieglitz, and that was early in his career...9th pro fight I believe

That -140 didn't last long, 1.5 hours later and the line is now -260...lol

Gotta love it when 5dimes opens their own numbers, hope some of you got down before the move

Thx for the heads up on that one Box. I got in @-180. I would have made that a lrge wager but 5 dimes and their teasers only allow 100 return on that one. Im still looking for some value this week.

The line on Barashian is dropping like crazy, down to +333 at bet365.
Seems like a good pick, boxlocks. :)

Wladimir weighed in at 239 which is his lowest weight since the first byrd fight, he really seems to be serioius about the unification. The line for Klitschko insdie distance moved to 1.7 at 5dimes,...might be worth a shot!?

Overtrained- all part of the upcoming Vlad meltdown. Ibragimov will be elusive, hard to hit, will get a few good ones in with those fast hands, he hits well with both hands and hits the body well. Vlad doesn't like to get hit at all , it unravels him. Manny is going to be hard pressed in the corner to keep the hyperventilation under wraps
