Thx for the heads up on that one Box. I got in @-180. I would have made that a lrge wager but 5 dimes and their teasers only allow 100 return on that one. Im still looking for some value this week.

SB now has the Over 9.5 at -175

SB also has Varela +500... better get it fast as 5dimes has Gutierez at -350. Posting this as scalp opportunity, not a recommended play by itself

As posted, I have Klitschko in a couple parlays...Laying 2.05 to win 1.4

5dimes just opened up a huge middle opportunity that I can't pass up...

Ibragimov +24.5 points +140....Laying 1.0 to win 1.4

The line on Barashian is dropping like crazy, down to +333 at bet365.
Seems like a good pick, boxlocks. :)

From fightnews...

Light heavyweight Thomas Ulrich (31-3, 21 KOs) returns from an injury which caused him to cancel the fight last November in Karlsruhe. He will defend his belt against unbeaten mandatory challenger Yuri Barashian (24-2, 16 KOs) and he will have to make use of his great skills in order to beat the strong Barashian.

Thomas Ulrich said about Barashian: "He sometimes seems to be very relaxed in the fight but I have to watch out for his sudden attacks and his hard punches!?

I still think Klitschko wins, but these lines are way off...

Ibragimov wins in rounds 7-9 +1765...lay .05 to win .90

Ibragimov wins in rounds 10-12 +2250...lay .05 to win 1.1

Strictly value plays, IF Iggy gets to the him, it will be in the late rounds

Looking at Alexeev-Griffis Over 7.5 +125 as a small play

Looking for opinions on that one, not real familiar with Alexeev

Anyone?

Nice plays.

I like these as parlay partners:

NOT Klitschko rounds 1-3: -545

and

Klitschko/Ibragimov goes 1:30 round 3: -640

--

I see Klit coming out to establish his jab and set up the straight right for mid-to-late rounds. I don't know much about Ibrag, but he is trained by a Mayweather and I saw him vs Holyfield. He's too quick and busy to get KOed so early.

I also have Klitschko in a few parlays hedged with the same Ibrag plays. The lines are accurate by this point, the best play was Klit decision +500.

This would also be a good time to play Klit straight at -350ish for anyone who hasn't put money down, Id expect money to come in on him late to create a scalp.

I added more to the over on Varela @-180. The odds have jumped quite a bit but have settled @-180. This is now a med/lrge wager.

Non boxing wager- I added Barak Obama -135 to win the presidency... 675 to win 500. McCain is simply too old and wouldn't budge on his position in Iraq. Hillary is Hillary and it will take a miracle just to get back in the race. Barak is THE real deal. The man is going to change America.

Anyone?

I have seen him once.
He has a typical eastern european style of boxing, seems to be calm and collectd in the ring, but breaks down his opponents methodically.

Actually, I was a little surprised to see that he is such a huge favorite, escpecially considering that he comes down from heaveyweight and Alexeev really hasnt fought anybody.

The line looks pretty good, 5dimes hat 1.76 for 6.5rounds.

I havent seen Griffis though, or cannto recall anything from his fight against Tua.

Is he any good!?

Hope the dogs bark

Hope the dogs bark

Anyone else touching some of the dogs this weekend.?

I was ringside for Larios fight against Linares and I thought that late punishment was pretty brutal for Larios who after 60 fights, has to be on the slide. Plenty of of scar tissue. Sure, he's in a different class than his opponent, but Gomez has fought at 135 and has to be the bigger guy- might be one of them non-stop tough Mexicans- who I hope gently retires Larios, a longtime respected champion. See no harm in slipping 20 for180.

Seems most of us have touched Barashian and that makes sense. .
Duddy's opponent Smichet- I hear he's pretty tough, and keeps coming, thought he was worth a tickle at +1175 when first come out. Can't forget Duddy being out on his feet and very cut up against Yori Boy who could have gotten that decision. Definite longshot but those odds are off.

I give Iggy more of a shot than most on this board, except Scott/Atlanta . Vlad does look primed and perhaps he is in the zone but seems like one good shot gets him rattled. Wouldn't bother me one bit to see the Robot unravel.

I like the Puerto Rican parlay of Lopez and Dieppa, 2 almost returns 1. Dieppa's opponent hasn't fought in almost 3 years after getting stopped twice in 05, once by Dieppa.

I'm actually all over the dogs this week.

Your reasoning for Gomez is good, I got him at +1100.

Barashian for reasons already mentionned a couple of times.

I also have Griffis at +1500, I mean WTF, Alexeev hasnt fought anybody, and this line looks as though Griffis would be an absolute stiff, which he isnt.

Varela at +475 looks a bit high too, he's the naturally bigger man.

I havent really made up my mind on the Sultan fight...

Would be nice if one hit!

Klit line has dropped a bunch, Pinny has it a -347 / +307.

I have Klit as well in the last leg of a few parlays...curious to why Pinny has props on Ibrag inside, but not Ibrag by decision. I think I may ride the not Klit inside play to hedge.

When I played it, Not Klit Inside was at +120 as opposed to the +140 I played. Not a whole lot of difference in the line or the price, we'll see if it makes a difference. In retrospect, I shoulda played Not Klit Inside when it was more like +180, but at that time I wasn't sure about hedging my bet

I added barker this morning...wide odds @-600 but clearly SHOULD win. I may still add more to the varela over. Don't have the details but it appears he got caught v rubio. If this guy withstood miranda @160 then you have to think he goes the dist w/guiterez. That line has gone to -200.

What's the agreed upon fight weight- 150? Varela was close to that in his last fight. Think he had 2 weeks notice. Only mentioning it as a possibility of weight drain but hopefully Gutierrez is raw enough for Varela to hold him off. Best of luck- Over King

Somebody had to come on here and try and rattle me over this. Now I'm half expecting tony to tell me his man is taking guti by early stoppage. To be honest, this is a typical boxrec wager for me. Varela appears to be a capable veteren journeyman that can go rds. His staying in with miranda over 12 is what sold me on the over. I have never seen the guy fight. I've seen Guti 2 or 3 times. I don't think he's quite the banger he was made out to be when he took out a completely shot Teddy Reid. I even said Reid was ready to be taken out before that fight took place. A 10 rd workmanlike win is what I'm shooting for. 150 is the contracted weight.

Punch...are you still thinking about the card in cancun? It appears to be stacked. I can't make it because my passport is expired otherwise I'd seriously consider catching that one. The carribbean, hot topless babes on the beach, and a stacked boxing card...doesn't get much better.

Good news first Barker won tko 7.
My man is on Varela, big on Brinkley, Berto over and Klit over.
Brinkley has some sort of promotional bonus and Otis never fought 10 rounds. I like the berto over at 150 and Varela is at 450 at sportsbook right now. I am not to high on the over Klit. I believe Klit will get him out of there.

good news indeed. I thought about the under but didnt pull the trigger. A win is a win is a win and i'll always be happy w/that. Good luck on those dogs. I assume you are speaking of Orneles/bravo. Not sure why people are hot on the under. Orneles isn't all that but can't say say one way or the other. I'll stay off but if I were to choose, Id take the plus money on the over.

I've made decnt money on Klit including my best ever +1500 wager on klit by dec over peter. I made good dough on several of his fights but ALWAYS sweating those out. I think he prevails but if sultan gets his attention w/the left, it's going to be a fight. I do believe sultan will go some rds and would be inclined to wager the plus money on the over.
