Yeah, i know... but Corley made the move of taking a knee while he was that hurt...that wasn't so smart... and do you mind telling me what the hell was up with Corley's mask getup he wore into the ring? Weirdest thing I've ever seen. Kinda like the Predator meets S+M. And then he goes and wears a skirt into the ring? I just don't get it.

Don't try to figure out Corely, the guy admits to wearing Victoria's Secret undies and waxing his eyebrows.

I completely disagree with you on taking a knee. Corely was dazed and didn't want to take any more shots untill he regained his senses. Corely knew he could hurt Cotto, he had him stumbling all over the place earlier in the fight. He wisely took a knee because he was still a little dazed and wanted to buy some time, I've seen smart fighters do it many times. By giving himself more time to recover he avoids taking big shots and gives himself another chance to hurt Cotto later in the fight, he didn't care about losing a point on the scorecard after he knew he could hurt Cotto. The ref was a complete ameteur, he should have known that Corely took a knee on purpose and let the great fight play out.

Corley has gone the distance with Judah, Mayweather, and Bailey. Don't you think he deserves a chance to recover? Especially when he had Cotto basically unconscience earlier in the fight and it was allowed to continue.

I'm not saying that Cotto wouldn't have stopped him eventually, I just think Corely deserved a chance to recover given his past and the fact that Cotto was more hurt at one time than he was.

I noticed this reply at another forum...

"As a fellow Puerto Rican and Boxing fan for over 15 years I have to say that was one of the worse stoppages I've seen. I think Cotto was on the way to ending the fight anyways, but Corley should have been given the chance to recover and go on. It was a horrible desicion by the referee and Im ashamed it happened here at home. Either way it was a good fight and I hope Cotto gives Corley a rematch."

That ref was a total homer for sure... maybe that's what Fletcher was thinking when he recommended the under. Either way, it WAS a total joke that it was stopped. Corley definitely deserved another shot... even if he was wearing a skirt in the ring.

I watched the fight and agree it should not have been stopped at that moment. Though looking at it I don't think it would have mattered. I actually bet on Corley but I must admit the fight was clearly heading one way. Its a shame (moreso for me) Corley could'nt finish Cotto off.

I don't think there is really a point for a rematch imo.
