Is Michael Grant really fighting Tye Fields??

I'll believe it when I see the result.

The bigger question is, why the hell do I feel somehow intrigued?????

LIVE Cotto-Mayorga Weigh-In

LIVE Cotto-Mayorga Weigh-In

SHOWTIME Sports? announced today that SHOWTIME EXTREME ? the sports and action focused multiplex channel ? will broadcast the live weigh-in and select fighter interviews from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Friday, March 11 at 6 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast) in anticipation of the March 12 SHOWTIME PPV? ?RELENTLESS? headlined by Miguel Cotto and Ricardo Mayorga.

I hope this becomes a new habit. Broadcasting the weigh-ins like the UFC.

it`s hard to believe that they actually turn a profit off these horseshit ppv cards....particularly with the internet....

I blame Canelo.

Only two groups in the world singing "There's only one Matthew Hatton".

Golden Boy and The UK bookies (who are still counting the cash from that bout going the full 12).

anybody think dzinziruk is worth considering taking a flyer on?.....he looked good vs julio,imo...

he`s used to going rounds...i understand that martinez is a pfp top 5`er...but he`s coming off a big blowout vs williams...maybe he gets a little full of himself?....

this isn`t an extremely high profile bout....more like a showcase for martinez.(witness dzinziruk`s #20 ranking on boxrec)

it seems like dizinziruk is a fairly competent, competitive, fundamentally sound guy....his style is nothing like paul williams` devil- may-care,balls to the wall careless, guns -a blazing style....

he`s a tall southpaw with what appears to be decent defensive capabilities...

i admitetdly have only seen the julio fight,so i`ll have to check out a couple more dz fights on youtube...

i know he`s moving up to middle here..but he`s 6 foot and martinez has jumped back and forth between jr. mid. and middle successfully...

gonna check more video..something to consider...a small play at nice odds if it actually shakes out and looks to be worth a flyer...

wonder if this might hit +500 by post time?...

From Steve Kim's column today:

The "Least Interesting Fighter in the World" starring Adrien Broner. The familiar voice over from the Dos Equis commercial comes on with clips of Broner?s fight with Ponce de Leon:

"...He once threw forty punches in a round, just to see what it would feel like.

"...He was listed on the FDA?s website as a generic form of Ambien.

"...He doesn?t fight much, but when he gets into exchanges, he doesn?t fight much.

"...He is The Least Interesting Fighter in the World.

"I don?t always throw punches, but when I do, I throw them one at a time.

"Stay frustrated, my friends!"
