rd8-mags has been down 3 times now but he fights on...tough fvcking irishman...i dont think it goes much longer though...bute tagging him...mags landed a nice shot...mags arguably winning rd 8 though...he looks pretty gassed though...mags warned for low shot...nice comebck rd for mags...both land nice shots at the end...ill be nice and give it to magee but he ate some shots still...

Weird weird fight!!!

At the beginning of the fight and during the walk in the atmosphere in Cologne was really great! Of course that changed extremely quickly! ;-)
IMO the public perception was that Solis took a dive! (But it was very hard to get a clear picture of the fight without all the replays!)
The people even booed Vitaly after the fight and when they showed ?ner and Solis it got really ugly! ;-)

I guess now I know what anticlimactic means!

After rewatching the fight a couple times, it seems clear that Vitaly completely surprised Solis with his short right hand! You can see that Solis legs buckled and then apparently he hurt his knee going down! Bizarre ending! Its hard to tell how hurt he was by Klitschkos punch, but it definitely looked like a legit knockdown, though I think he could have continued if it wasn?t for his knee. The injury was confirmed on the radio this morning!

Up to this point Solis actually boxed pretty well. Vitaly looked kind of slow and his timing seemed to be off! He didn?t get off to a good start against Briggs either, but after this fight I?m beginning to think that he might really be in decline?.

Spot on Zerwas! I essentially just said the same thing on Scotty's thread. There was no dive. It was a legit shot to the temple, Solis lost his equilibrium. After the temple shot, his left knee did the Zab dance and when he went down, his rt knee hyperextended. And as you said, he was having a decent rd prior to that.

the shot glanced the top of his head,not his temple....that`s why klitschko was so upset..he knew he didn`t land the shot solidly....hr threw it going backwards with very little on it...

maybe i`m wrong,but it didn`t look like much fro here...

watch it again...it looked weak..like it barely grazed him...and klitschko went off...course afterward it was a "legit shot"...

c`mon vitali..either you were p.o.`ed because it wasn`t much of a shot or it was legit...make up your mind...:facepalm:
