The common thought is that Segura will paste Calderon in the same fashion he did last time (8 rounds, body shot).

But I can't help but think of the debacles recently with Pirog and Canelo.

Sometimes these fights go according to plan with the winner, but not the result.

Calderon can't win this fight - but he is going to give one last spirited effort.

If he survives the early rounds, he might be able to stretch this just a bit further.

I see possibilities in the following:

Segura rounds 10-12 +500
Segura by 12 round decision +500

Good luck everyone. Enjoy the fights.

Let me asterix the above plays by stating that, if this ring in Mexicali tonight is 3 feet by 3 feet all bets are off.

:142smilie

Puerto Rico gave Calderon a football field to run in last time - I'm sure tonight Mexicali will repay with a phone booth.

I think that should be about it or Peter. He's taken some hard shots, gotten pummeled. I don't like the way he reacts to shots. Klitschkos, this, even J. McCline. Time for Sam to bow out.

Lacierva seems to be handling Beltran thru 6.

I've got it 5-1.

I mentioned it early in this thread as well. Lacierva is better than Beltran, that line never should have moved like that.:nono:
