Thanks man. I think the bookies jumped the gun when they saw Sykes hurt. He showed guts and determination to come back.

Broner vs. Ponce

Broner vs. Ponce

I like the Broner-Ponce fight! Very interesting matchup. I've followed Broner pretty closely and I think he's the goods. Limited comp of course, he's had just 1 tough fight, very young kid...so far has looked the part and then some. Ponce is 2 or 3 levels above what he has faced though. Very big step up.

I think the difference here will be the size. Broner is really a couple of weight classes above Ponce. This size difference should be able to neutralize Ponce's strength and aggression. Fight made for Broner to win, and I see him clearly outboxing Ponce and looking the part of a contender.

Got Broner at plus odds and went sizeable here.

Got the Argentinean Maderna over Acosta. Odds opened even here and traveled quite a bit with Maderna. Maderna a former olympian, and has looked good as a pro. Acosta just a trial horse and if Maderna has got any stuff at all he will win this fight.

Also on Mabuza. Big strong rangy guy. I don't like him not fighting for a year. I think Andrey mentioned that Zab is coming back pretty quickly from tough fight with Matthysse. I agree, and he will find himself in another dog fight here. I can see Zab fading, and a determined Mabuza gaining leverage as the fight goes on.

Good luck guys!!

I would say that is a very good hedge spot Weasel. If Ponce wins it will almost certainly be ITD.

My Bets for Tonight:

Mabuza (very concerned with all the hugging nonsense)
Maderna
and every variation of Canelo stopping Matt Hatton that I could possibly get down ANYWHERE

NO BET on Broner-Ponce but I think you guys are on the right side.

Where is weepaul? I waited all week for the obligatory "Hatton is shite" post.

Interesting to read the European message boards. Usually a fight between a Mexican and Brit rallies quite a debate. But, in this case, the British guys seemed to be the guys betting THE MOST MONEY on Hatton getting creamed. They know what's up here.

Well, Mr. Kirkland is back. And it took him 34 seconds.

Broner/Ponce U7.5 +150 (single pop)

Ponce is overaggressive and Broner looks like the naturally bigger man. I could see a early KO in either direction here.

Zab moving and boxing well through 5...not doing a whole lot but winning most of the action...mabuza pressing and throwing much more...mab hurts zab in rd 6...did a glimpse of the zab dance...Zab MAY win this but those legs betrayed him there...

WOW zab lands a HUGE SHOT IN RD 7..mabuza nearly out...ref lets it continue...zab all over him...OVA :00hour
