Graham has an excellent weekend wrapup here:
http://www.fightwriter.com/?q=node/2184

Viloria and Klassen were the two big upsets
(+250 and +200).
Congratulations to Evan who hit both dogs!

Looks like we all did quite well!

I was extremely impressed with Donaire (looked back to his old form), less than impressed with Gamboa (a nightmare for round prop players).

Fight of the weekend was probably Aydin-Ouali (a good scrap) or Manfredo-Smichet (which I did not see, but by reports it was a war until the spectacular Manfredo KO punch). Come to think of it, maybe Viloria-Solis was fight of the weekend. Tough call. All 3 great fights.

Regrets this weekend: None boxing wise. I am happy with how I played them.
One in UFC - LARGE on Silva ITD. But everyone in the world thought he would HAVE to look good after the last showing. 2 stinkers in a row from the Spider. Not good.

Next week is filled with opportunities-the oddsmakers have their work cut out for them. HUGE Friday night and Saturday night schedule !

When I first saw Donaire dominate Vic, I thought we were witnessing the early stages of a star. I was just as impressed in his demolition of Maldonado. I didnt see his next fight but by most accounts he struggled a little bit after having some time off. I said earlier in the thread that I expected him to return to form. I played 9 hund to win 2 bucks and he more than impressed. Gary Shaw is FOS when he says he won't deal with this guy because Donaire jumped ship. Shaw would like nothing more than have Vic take his head off but he KNOWS Nonito wins that fight 10 out of 10 times. Donaire is a special fighter and belongs in the top 10 p4p.

The prop was
Anderson Silva wins by 5 round decision Romi
He was the main event in the UFC last night
It went the distance and he won a UD

It was widely thought that Silva would KO his opponent early

The line discrepancy was amazing here
Silva ITD (my play) was -330 !
Silva by decision was +870 (opened at +605 and moved).

Can't remember the last time the props were that far apart for the favored fighter...

Sweet...great call...sounds like you had an awesome weekend.:toast: :toast: :toast:

I still havent seen the time of stoppage in the zamora fight...That was a turning pt for me. Both books paid the over on it. -400 is too wide for an over unless its a chick fight. I even considered the Booth over so it's a lesson well learned and i was still fortunate enough to win a few bucks.

at one time i saw Silva by 5 round dec over +1200

it didn't last long

WHAT !??!!?!!?!?
Unbelievable! Really wish I had thrown 100 bucks on that...even at the +605 kick got.....

That line was out of whack...people are just so used to KOs in the UFC.
That being said...Silva should have finished him....but I'm happy for your sake it went to the cards...

Nah
don't even worry about me, brother
Silva ITD was my only loss
I was on Viloria, Gamboa ITD, Aydin, Shafikov, Cane, Kang, Herman, TJ Grant, Eliot Marshall, and the big one - LARGE on Shogun Rua.

Great weekend for all of us !
