Two props that I think have value on 5d (depending on what side of the fight you are on):

Berto ITD -105
and/or
Quintana 12 rnd decision +700

The reason I like Evan Fields here is I saw Botha in his last 2 fights and I thought he lost both.
In 24 rounds with Hoffman and Carrion, he layed on the ropes for 23 of them. I thought he won 2 rounds out of 24. The last two against Hoffman.

With Holy, he is at least always is shape and he needs money so he has motivation. I think he will win a decision on activity alone.

Botha can't KO the real deal, so the white buffalo is going to have to get off his fat ass, stand in the middle of the ring, and bang with Oldy.

I like Mijares the best tonight out of the favorites. Fighting in his hometown (Durango) and his losses to Cermeno are NO SHAME. Besides, what the hell has Francisco Arce ever done besides cheer for his brother Jorge. Jack shit.

Berto, I think, can stop Quintana. Speed will be the difference. And I don't think Carlos has the pop to KO Berto. Quintana decision might be a good hedge.

I am comfortable with Berto and Mijares. Holy worries me a lil bit, but I think Botha sucks ass. I think my parlay will hit, but I also thought BJ Penn would kick the shit and piss out of Edgar.

Speaking the truth for sure , have parlayed Mijares with Holyfield around 15 mins ago :mj07:
Mijares disappointed me against Vic and then lost 2 more in a row by decision , this is a must win fight for him . He is boxing at home , this fight could very well go to a decision and I think he will edge it . Tho I wouldn't be shocked at all if Francisco Arce got stopped , out of 37 bouts he pretty much faced only one boxer I know Simphiwe Nongqayi and lost to the african at home in Mexico by decision . Other than Nongqayi his record if full of people nobody has heard of .

win lose or draw....lesson learned...NO MORE -2500 chalk parlays ...just fvcking STUPID:scared

I hear you Romi, I was in the same parlay boat as you. Normally I wouldn't bother at -2500, but there wasn't much else to choose from, and I thought Barker was pretty 'safe'. It just isn't worth it to include anything higher than say, -1500, and really -1000.

I've still got Peterson tonight to close out a parlay that will net me about 50 cents in light of the Nongqayi draw (which it sounds like I was lucky to get).

Barker OVER was good!! :00hour :00hour :00hour

Big stuff tonight! Let's see how it goes down.

I played some favorable odds, and hedged back about half of my Estrada bet. I'm feeling less certain as the fight gets closer. Pretty much a toss-up. I don't see Estrada as shot quite yet, but he does seem to fall a bit short in bigger fights. Karass was a good opportunity slipped by for him. Lora is a must win for him. If Estrada loses here, be's an opponent.

Estrada and Lora seems like a nightmare....the worst type of fight to have money on

A shot brawler vs. an unknown with a built up record (that no footage exists of)

NO PLAY for me
simple outcome though
if Lora can take a punch and hit hard, he wins
If he is like Oganov and/or Tyrone Brunson, he will lose
I am betting on Lora at +105. I think Estrada is completely shot and at least Lora had a good amateur background unlike Brunson.

I also think Botha has a good shot at outlasting Holy at +220.

Good luck lads!!! :toast:

Lora's amateur pedigree is what caused me to track back my Estrada wager. I think Estrada's got something left, let's see...

I also think Botha has got a sneaky shot to upset Evander tonight. At first glance, Holy is the obvious pick because Botha is fat and old and slow and such. But Evander hasn't done much in a long time, except get older. He was only competitive against the Yeti because the Yeti did NOTHING, and Holy did little more. Ibragimov, who I always considered very beatable, was a walkthrough... Evan hasn't had a real win since Oquendo in 06, and I think he lost that too.

Botha hasn't exactly been boxing active, but has been fighting MMA, fought on about even terms with big Hoffman in Germany...and I think Holyfield would probably have a tough time with that big Cuban Carrion. I also get the impression that Botha is taking this fight much more seriously. I think the Carrion fight embarrassed him.

If the Buffalo lays on Evan and smothers him, he could get himself a surprise, and definitely ugly points win.

Estrada-Lora

Round 1
Estrada takes it by coming forward aggressively. Lands a couple good shots. Lora pushed back a few times. No answer as yet.
