Branco via dec at +500

George at +440
George's work rate is poor, if not very poor. But Byrd has been disappointing every single fights since Holyfield. In this one he'll have to chase again, much like he chased Oquendo and Williamson

Albert at +450
Kirkland will jump on Albert. I expect Albert to come on though. Everything looks like being on the inside. I can see Albert doing well.

Angulo at -220
Angulo vs Gutierrez under 9,5 at +185
Come on Angulo, you are for real, aren't you? :(

i may ride with you on the angulo/gutierrez under...and i want to hedge a bit with gutierrez(but, that`s a dangerous game gambling a llittle more on a fight i`m not sold on)......

i noticed that angulo struggled a tad early in his career winning a maj and a split decision in short fights...

that makes me think he might be able to be outhustled a bit...he looks like a beast, but he is relatively inexperienced...

on the flip side,as he`s moved up in class,he`s made short work of practically everybody...

that cortes blow-out was impressive...

Im all over Albert as well. Kirkland is tough but Albert is an Olympian who has faced some pretty decent competition and has an in your face style. He's also bigger than Kirkland.

I think he can take Kirkland deep and break him down late in the fight. Stoppage? Probably not but you never know with a guy who has a bunch of early KO's and hasn't been in the late rounds too often....

opening lines at Primm sportsbook for these fights

opening lines at Primm sportsbook for these fights

I did'nt bother posting these as I asked for some opinions in my thread, and got NOTHING! So I figured no one was interested. Guess I was wrong. Just seems no one gave a rats rear end that I asked. So be it. Anyway, lines are(was) as follows;Kirkland-200; Albert+170/Gamboa-800;Jimnez+550/Angulo-230; Guitierrez+180. As I said, these were posted at the local sportsbook in Primm, Nevada. A buddy of mine likes-Kirkland and Gutierrez. Also Gamboa but the price is prohibitive.

I think Kirkland beats Christ right out of Albert. Albert has beaten Banks, Campos, and Edouard. None of the three have much power or are that great. Albert wins fights on his workrate, but lacks power and leaves himself open to be hit.

I think Kirkland could have problems with a fighter with good power, since with his style he leaves himself open as well. That or a good boxer, who can move around. A real slick guy that can cause you to miss and make you pay. Albert isn't either. He won't have the power to keep Kirkland off from him and he will get beat like a rented mule, IMO....

I also think Kirkland's last three wins, and the way that he won, are just as good, if not better, than Albert's top 3.

Am I the only one that thinks that Byrd has a chance to stop George?

Kirkland's fights with Duran and Lyell are proof, to at least me, that he can fight late into fights, while also keeping up a good work rate and keeping some power as well.

Duran did fairly well, when he threw punches. Albert throws punches, lets see what happens when the fights lingers on. Kirkland's work rate is good, but I think his power is overrated.

I agree with you on Kirkland. If he's prepared for this fight and I understand he is, he'll break Albert down. I'm not too blown away by Albert's oppostion and record. Byrd looked good at the weigh in , I do think he could stop George, but not convinced he's got that mentality.

Branco via dec at 500 is sick. If branco stays on his feets he has a shot. Where did you get this number ?

I have a pretty big wager on Branco.

I took Byrd under.

I took Gamboa/Kirkland both under 9 1/2 parlay. The odds came out to +550.

Good luck all.

My only wager this wkend is Angulo for a pretty decent amt. I'm considering other fights but that's it for now. I'll be in vegas later this afternoon to catch the Byrd fight and and the HBO card in Primm. Good luck everybody!

"The Mans" picks came out just a little while ago. Haven't had time to review them but he's on angulo, the under and the under for Kirkland.

I should have said I took the Byrd FIGHT under. I won the bet but I assumed it would be Byrd winning by stoppage  .
Byrd looked very drawn and sickly. I hope he retires.

Thanks Zerwas!
I won't start bragging until Angulo is safe home.
I'm gonna go up early tomorrow and follow the HBO broadcast via stream-tv. I want to have something on every fight, so I took Jimenez by ko at +1900. I don't know Jimenez, but I do know, never bet on a Cuban.
Good night everybody,
and good luck :mj09:
