Too funny Frank...Wonder if you and I will hook up one of these weekends? This weekend my mom is coming in for a visit but after that I'm clear...I think it would be awesome if you, myself, and Fletch could hook up at some fight card...Even if it is the Plaza or Orleans...

I heard Golata weighed in at alltime high of 248lbs, while Brewster came in at 224 looking very muscular.

PS-Out of respect for Frank's opinion on Rodriguez, I wound up also playing Rodriguez via decision at +340 for a little as well, so essentially I have a small play on the fight going 12 full rounds...I could lose if the fight doesn't go the distance, and I think if it is a draw as well...Small wager on both sides for me.

Great Start

Great Start

Bell wins by 12 round UD

I didn't agree with the decision, but a winner is a winner and this card was hosted by Bell's promoter,
obviously a huge factor.

whoa...another blackeye for boxing.....

a unanimous decision...lol....every judge had bell....one had it 117-111.....

what can you say...i know i caught a break...i had o`neil in 2 parlays....and i,as well as o`neil deserved the "L".......

imo, even a draw would have been a reach....

bell, you`d better tighten up that training regimen...and throw a jab occasionally....and straighter punches....

looked like a guy whose connective tissues were coming apart...legs unsteady...punches wide and without snap....he looked loosey-goosey....and was hurt multiple times by a mediocre puncher(at best)....shows you how important straight punches are...

he was a mess...took balls to go on national t.v. and say he thought he won....

boxing gods,thanks for the gift...

boxing is becoming a crap shoot..

the andrade win was very sweet....he`s a very live dog vs all but the elite guys...

the bell win was luck....the andrade win was handicapping...smart handicapping....

i was hoping it would be on the board....glad i saw your post....

that was a nice win...

I taped the bell fight, then my tape ran out before the decision, but went to bed comfortable in knowing I'd lost, then wake up and find out he won, one card by a 9-3 margin? shameful. was coming on here to ask who promoted the card, should have layed odds it was bell.

go golota and win a 9th round or higher victory!

disappointed that hbo decided to show a replay of trinidad/wright rather than briggs/adamek or wells/garcia.....

if you see one round of the tito/winky fight, you`ve basically seen the whole thing in a nutshell....

a waste of time...i guarantee that anyone that tunes in will be hitting the dial by the 4th round...

Anyone else think the line on Golata opened a little high?

-340???

Maybe my opinion is effecting the way I look at the line but I thought Golata would open around -200. Interestingly enough thats about where the line will close. The books need Golata, maybe thats exactly how they wanted it.

I think the oddsmakers priced Golata out of the market and begged for money on Brewster. By putting it at -340 they eliminated most betters and for different reasons. Some guys just won't lay over 3-1, and more importantly most betters won't lay over 3-1 on the "foul pole".

So the money has poured in on Brewster, partially b/c Brewster has a belt and is highly regarded by some, part. b/c Brewster is with DK, and part. b/c the line was so high they couldn't resist.

And now the books need Golata, is that what they wanted all along, am I paranoid?

Just a thought

sorry, boxlocks

i told my buddies at work, i had a strange feeling about this one.
golota just won't get it done.

my only play was on Bell this weekend, to win straight up.
and I guess I didn't deserve it.

have a cold one.
