This could go under as the wild man Mayorga may get KO'd or DQ'd due to frustration and/or tiredness. I just feel he expends a lot of energy too quickly and Oscar is way too smart to fall into the same mindset. I HAVE to order this circus act as my wife, like so many other females, just LOVES Oscar! They would pay to see him milk a cow. Trouble is I have to pay for this, so I hope I can bail out with a winner.

I'm going with DLH by decision, I don't think he has the strength or stamina to take mayorga out. Does anybody in here think that Mayorga has a chance at koing DLH.

box, question about your futures, you had oscar ov 11.5 to win a 1/2 unit and kyowa to win a 1/2 unit. now they say to win .4 and to win .3, what happened?

As posted in previous threads, the units shown on my future plays are always projected or estimated. Both of those wagers were placed about a month ago, so I wasn't exactly sure what my final play would be. Due to line movement, I have to get most of my money down asap and also post the play with a projected value so you all can get down before any moves take place.

I posted Kyowa -230 to win 1/2 unit right after 5dimes hung the line so some of you could get the same price. Two weeks later the other books hung Kyowa at -350 setting up a nice scalp for those who wanted the free cash. Those who didn't scalp got a much better line on Kyowa than everyone else.

Anyway

Many things can and will happen in the weeks leading up to a fight. Reports of bad camps, trouble making weight, distractions, injuries, etc...not to mention line movement. As Mr. pointed out, there's been some decent money on the other side of this fight. So just to be safe, I decided not to lay more than 1 unit on this play.

The other reason I played these a little smaller than projected is b/c there's a sh*tload of action this week. I don't want too much action on one fight when there might be more solid plays coming.

In other words, I still like these plays as much as I did before, just lowered the values slightly for other reasons. If these were the only fights I was playing this week, I would've left them as posted. I really didn't change them much anyway as my futures are projected and rounded to the nearest 1/2 unit.

Hope this helps

not to step on boxlocks toe's , but if Kyowa gets beat, you don't win anything right ?

Rodel Mayol happens to be an A+ stud contender/prospect.

Kyowa is a very good fighter as well.

i'll admit I put some on Mayol , this is an even match-up.

word is Mayorga had a great camp, so did Oscar by the shape he has been in.

Mayorga hasn't had a kayo since Jan 2003, if I am not missing anything. Oscar hasn't beat a top fighter since Vargas.

i'm excited about it, even though it's not a great match-up in the sense of 2 fighters in their prime.

Box, got the e-mail. Your brilliance is dazzling. I wish I could think in such a complex and intricate manner. I'm leaning toward Mayorga as he was down to 3 smokes a day. If it were 4 or more I'd say no; but 3 cigarettes! He is serious!

I had heard good things about Mayol so I was forced to take him at +300. While I have seen a good bit of Eagle and realize how good he is, he trades to much sometimes. If Mayol's power is legit that could be bad news for Eagle.

Great Pick on Ray Nahr!

Great Pick on Ray Nahr!

Ray Nahr dominated that fight with this distance, reach, and speed. Also, Sharmba Mitchell looked fast and still looks good against B and C class fighters. I parlayed them for an easy win.

Thank you Boxlocks for the pick, I'd never seen Ray Nahr fight before but he impressed me.

In addition tomorrow, I like Mora -475 over the Shark because of Mora's speed, stamina, an unorthodox punching angles will catch up with his nausious opponent over full ten rounds.

But the rock'em sock'em fight will be Gomez v. Feliciano. Gomez -260 has a slight edge because he has a better chin, accuracy, and punch. Both of them are going to stand toe to toe, so it should be interesting, but Gomez should win in the small ring at the Aladdin.

These fights don't have very good value straight up at such a high chalk but maybe a parlay on the Mora by decision and Gomez to win could be worthy if a Mora by decison line ever gets posted (unlikely).

Good luck guys,
Matt
