Crowd RAINING BOOS down in the arena
and boy, it really is deserved

Dana White has a smile a mile wide

What a perfect advertisement for the UFC

I am not sure that Pacquiao would beat Mayweather after this. .. Pacquiao was almost always about five steps away from doing real damage. Mosley was there to be stopped. I know that many of us feel let down, but what can you do except to say well done to the over 11.5 players.

Post fight interview

Pacquiao repeatedly blames his legs
saying the leg was "tight"

A dreadful dreadful fight

I'd love to hear what Dana thought of the fight.

I saw him in the front row, he was there live.

Hope we get his honest take - no sugar coating from Dana. Someone get him on the mic.

If he is friends with Shane or Manny, he will probably just plead the fifth. But nobody in their right mind would praise that garbage.

Yep, Dana is always politically correct, I am sure he'll hold back:142smilie

I don't watch much boxing but from my take Manny could have been way more aggressive.

And Shane ran like Brock Lesnar when he gets hit.

Run Run Run.

I think Shane bet on the over 11.5:shrug:

Me and a couple of buddies where seconds away from buying tickets and booking flights for this fight.

I was sure that 2 of the greatest entertainers in boxing would put on a good fight until Shane went out on his shield like a warrior.

I would have been super pissed to pay a fortune for this shite.

The next water bottle flying into the ring, would have been thrown by my hands!!! :142smilie

My 2nd worst week on the yr (due to Andrade) but still had a pretty nice comeback day nonetheless. Flat out got lucky on Gregory who got a gift dec in Prizefighter. Geale got the deserved yet surprising nod in Germany. Alvarado made it look easy...or was it Narh that made it look easy? I can easily say that I should have wagered for "free" money on Pac but at the same token I would have been cleaned out had the numbers on Vasquez been remotely close. Lousy week all in all but no complaints...could have been MUCH worse. Congrats to all of you that made a nice profit and congrats again to Q for the excellent calls :toast:

Still think Pacquiao would win. It's true that Pacquiao was following him around but Mosley did nothing but back peddle. Pac laid much more of a hurting on Mosley, even this subdued performance, than Floyd did. And I actually think Mosley was better prepared for this bout than against Mayweather. Pac too nice or leg cramps, whatever, still won every second of it against as well as prepared as could be Shane Mosley. Don't think Mayweather will fight him and he's rotting on the vine as we speak.

Arum saying Pac/Marq III for Nov. As good and as close as the 1st 2 were, does ANYBODY want to see Act III? I didn't buy tonights fight and I wouldn't purchase that one either. Marq looked flabby and out of his wt v Floyd so whats the point??? If Marq doesn't want the fight then they will pursue Bradley or JUdah???? Wouldn't mind seeing Bradley and that's probably the most viable fight but why even consider Zab? Floyd can command 50 million for Pac but instead he's picking fights with security guards. As Evan alluded to, Floyd is slowing rotting away. He doesn't have the style to be a p4p elite fighter late into his 30s IMO and the clock is ticking.

well,if that`s "an as well as prepared as could be" mosely then maybe he should find another line of work...

mosely had a great career...but that was.....i don`t know what that was....

he went into the mayweather fight with the intention to win....in this fight,it honestly looked like he had no intention to win.....how do i deduce that?....because to win,you have to throw a punch or two...

i honestly can`t remember a more pacifistic performance in a high profile fight... and the funny part is,he was easily negating manny`s power(after the knockdown) just by moving to his own left...he didn`t take an overwhelming amount of punishment...

i`ve read some folks on boards saying that this manny didn`t look as strong and buff as usual.....maybe he didn`t prepare..too many distractions?.......

but i don`t blame manny...i blame mosely....he literally robbed the public blind tonight....i saw a postfight picture of manny posing with paris hilton and hilton was more marked up than manny...

somebody needs to check and see if narh and shane ordered their pre-fight meals from the same deli....

it`s terrible seeing a h.o.f`er go out like that....i`m going to try and push this one down the memory hole and remember the prime shane...

btw...big props to arce...he stole the show....:hail

Well, certainly Mosley isn't elite anymore and he probably should move on. But I think his performance, or lack thereof, was because he realized he couldn't match Pac and if he tried, it would be curtains. It belies who he says he was but he gave up on himself. Against Floyd, he could try a little bit because he's not coming forward looking to take his head off. He's boxing and pot shotting.

Arce was tremendous. I remember a few years a go South African came into his back yard an outboxed him with ease. And he wasn't too sharp in some other bouts. Arce has been looking pudgy in recent outings but not this time. He may have discovered the "over the counters" at the pharmacia's in good ole Meheeko.

What do you guys expect? Mosley is ass holes buddies with De la Hoya? They both "fought" Manny, and both sucked butt hole. Now I know I'll bet Pascal over Hopkins as the felon is also part of that crew. Why does Bob Arum remind me of Dick Cheney? The shame of it is Mosley WILL "fight" again.

Arce, Manny

Arce, Manny

Well, certainly Mosley isn't elite anymore and he probably should move on.

Arce looked like a shot fighter against Nongqayi and he was life and death for a while against Cecilio Santos. Arce looked almost back to the Arce of the Hussein fights against Vazquez. I mean, you just have to wonder. He has all the heart in the world, and you have to love a fighter who puts it all on the line, but these stunning performances by fighters who looked like spent bullets fly in the face of boxing history. Sugar Ray Robinson looked shot against Ralph Tiger Jones but came back to win the middleweight title three more times but then he was having only his second fight in two years when he lost to Jones. I think these remarkable performances by fighters who in days past would have been considered shot might have started with Holyfield vs Tyson .... Hmmm.

Re. Manny, my initial reaction was one of huge disappointment, but different nights, different fighters, different performances. As you point out, Mayweather probably won't ever meet him so maybe that settles the "who would win?" argument right there. ... Mosley said at the post-fight press conference that he will take a vacation and "enjoy the fruits of my labours". Somehow that quote didn't sit right with me.
