I played Miranda at SB +205 a month ago. At that time my thinking was that Miranda had A) most likely improved his technique since the first fight B) probably would not get 5 points deducted in this fight and C) is hell -bent on getting the W. Abraham is one of the best, so he has his work cut out for him. Seems the consensus was that it was a close one first go round, so +205 appeared to have value to me. No opinion on total rounds.

You took good number early but I think line has moved too far now for anyone to bet Miranda.

I parlayed Miranda (+200) and Pac (2/7).

I remember watching their fight in Germany and telling myself: "if i had to play it again, i would have taken miranda"

He can win on agression, provided Pavlik didn't completely wreck him. I'm very concerned about that.

But it sure seems to be a ' do or die" fight for him.

Yea, you are right about Pavlik changing his molecular structure permanently. I had'nt considered that. I think he will bring it, though.

actually...and this surprised me....i thought miranda easily outworked abraham in 1......he looked quicker and i never thought that was miranda`s strong suit..

and barring the point deductions, should have won comfortably...i watched it twice and i just don`t think abraham did enough....long stretches on defense...on the back foot...

that`s how i saw it...maybe i`m wrong....

i did see that abraham was able to stun miranda a few times..when he was aggressive he did some good work...he could get miranda out of there...

the key question, imo, is:"how much of what went down was caused/profoundly influenced by the broken jaw"?....imo,obviously,it was a very significant issue....that`s not a revelation...

the second very important issue, imo,is:"abraham not having home court advantage"....anybody that knows me knows that i`m always interested in going against fighters with flashy records that leave the comfy confines of home to fight other world class fighters(particularly new england fighters...lol).......i`m a little surprised at the fact that abraham is willing to fight in the states vs a guy that obviously gave him serious trouble the first time around...and florida`s actually "home court" for miranda.....i`m not aware of the inside politics that went down in making the fight,so,on that,i have nothing to offer...

all i see on king arthur`s record is one neutral site fight in switzerland vs "not so hard punching" wayne elcock....

i grabbed miranda when this first came out....i like my chances here..

we`ll find out alot about abraham in this fight...and a little more about kelly pavlik, who basically pole-axed a strong chinned, tough customer in miranda...i agree that the pavlik beating and what mental affect it had on miranda can`t be ignored...

still,i believe grabbing miranda at 2-1...and truthfully, even at +170,is a no-brainer from a gambling perspective given the circumstances...

at worst,it looks like a very even fight with abraham not having the huge advantage of home court vs a verrry dangerous opponent for the verry first time in his career...

lot`s of "imo`s" in there...lol....this is just one swinging dick`s opinion...i could be absolutely wrong...

but fighting miranda outside of the hinterlands is not a smart move................(imo).....

btw..if fightnews is correct, this is at super middle...1st time in almost forever for king arthur....maybe it suits him just fine...but,we really don`t know that..

we do know that miranda`s 2 losse were at middle and he`s had experience vs "decent" opposition(green was at a a sort of catch weight) above 160...

Miranda is bigger framed than Arthur, so the higher weight should suit him fine here.

I think Abraham wins again...Miranda hasnt really impressed me in his last fights...Abraham IMO will carry the weight well.

I'm contemplating to take the over in this fight...

zerwas...i love ya`...but i think most people honestly thought abraham got a gift in the first fight...

could have been the broken jaw...

but as far as recent performances go,the ayala fight was much tougher than expected for abraham......

i`m anxious to see how abraham responds to being on enemy turf....

this is why this fight is so interesting...we`ll get a divergence of opinion on it....

should be a pip....:thumb:

:00hour Germany wins! :)

I agree with you, it's a tough fight...but I think Abraham is mentally very strong...

I think you need some balls to pose with Miranda like that. ;)

I watched the fight live on TV...I really thought there was no way that Abraham could stay in this fight wiith his horrilbe injury..but he did.

Ayla IMO is a lot tougher than many peple think he is, and Abraham never really was in any danger of losingt this fight...

But I agree with you, there are a lot of intangibles and the odds on Miranda look tempting...

z....he is a very, very tough hombre....he has bigger balls than dick tracy....

i thought he was able to hurt miranda with big shots worse than miranda hurt him...seemed miranda needed combinations to while abraham was more able to get miranda`s attention with just one big shot...

i doubt this fight will disappoint anyone as far as drama and action are concerned...

Well, I am convinced Abraham is a first class "A" hole. WTF is the point of posing like that? Really immmature. Now I hope he gets his arrogant ass kicked real good.

Let's consider too it's Abraham that has to change tactics now and be more active/ agressive, or he will be outworked.

On the other hand, Miranda knows perfectly well what's in front of him; i very much doubt he will lose his temper this time around.

I think that was Abraham's way of showing that Miranda's prefight comments didnt get to him...

That's certainly not his usual self, he actually seems like a nice person out of the ring.

Abraham has a very tight defence and he has never been hurt...so he probably can get away with a lower activity level than Miranda...he says though that he will be more active this time...

Well, we'll see...

Just watched some of the first fight again. Miranda isn't way off when he says he had to fight Abraham AND the ref that nite. At one point in a round, Miranda was hurting Abraham, the jerk-off ref STOPS and separates them, asks Abraham is he was OK, then lets Miranda resume what he had just stopped him from doing. Total bull.

franks.....zerwas is just defending his countryman....

it took coulumes to come to america and fight a guy that you beat already(albeit via a close, controversial decision)....and on his home turf....

for that alone,i have big time respect for abraham...i doubt he had to do this....

it`s all gonna play out come saturday..

gotta say,as far as dogs go,this is a decent sized miranda play for me...

i`m still wondering why abraham is taking this enormous risk.....it has me scratching my head...

Weasel-shoot over to espn.com and go to their boxing dept. It is explained why Abrham is here. Basically, he NEEDS a win here in the states to get a big fight, namely Pavlik. He feels he won the fight with a broken jaw, so this time, no broke jaw, easier fight. His promoters Sauerland are real sharpies so this is well thought out. They think Miranda is definitely beatable and a win affords Abraham recognition for big $ action. Plus he holds a version of a middleweight title. He fights Pavlik either he gets all the marbles or Pavlik does. Lots of intrigue here either way.
