Weasel-shoot over to espn.com and go to their boxing dept. It is explained why Abrham is here. Basically, he NEEDS a win here in the states to get a big fight, namely Pavlik. He feels he won the fight with a broken jaw, so this time, no broke jaw, easier fight. His promoters Sauerland are real sharpies so this is well thought out. They think Miranda is definitely beatable and a win affords Abraham recognition for big $ action. Plus he holds a version of a middleweight title. He fights Pavlik either he gets all the marbles or Pavlik does. Lots of intrigue here either way.

good explanation....thanks.......i guess they didn`t see the same fight that we saw.....

the guy has power, but,i think he`s way to economical with his punches.....

it`s gonna be much harder...without the ref...wothout the point deductions....in a hostile environment for the first time.....

i hope they took it all into consideration....

They might be counting on Edison being damaged goods.
And i already know who will get the decision if the fight is remotely close...

The under may have a shot here? I see this as a brawl, no matter how Abrham tries to take evasive action. Miranda will constantly be on the offense, UNLESS, he gets rocked. He do get hit a lot, though, but him a tough hombre.

I am learning from you. I think we should petition Romi to get punchy back here. He and punch are chums. We surely do not need to lose good people. Punchy is a sharp capper and an asset.

was he banned?.....i thought he left voluntarily....

i asked him to reconsider...

romi didn`t leave, did he?....if thats the case,i`m a little surprised by that....what happened with him?...he`s a very easy guy to get along with...

he would be missed...

haven`t seen tony montana lately ,either....nothing from him on miranda/abraham and we have klit/tony thompson on the horizon...

Bad news: judges John Coyle and Harry Davis will give the fight to Abraham, if it's possible, after 12 rounds.
Good news: the referee Assimenios won't protect Abraham in the ring.
This will be 12 long rounds for Abraham. I don't think he has the mentality for this. He will start swinging when he understands he's not in Germany. I was on Miranda in Germany, and I will definitely be on Miranda on Saturday. :0corn

Abraham is smiling WAY too freakin much in lots of pictures taken, almost like he KNOWS something. I don't like it.

Sometimes people smile a lot when they are uncomfortable.

Both guys obviously have a lot of ego and truly believe in themselves. That's partly why it's an intriguing fight.

I'm looking for a stronger and improved Miranda to score a KO win in the second half of the fight.:padlock:

Frankie, I'm strongly considering gettin some bucks down on fight won't go distance. If Abraham wants to win, he cannot spend too much time in that high and tight Euro guard , he'll have to let his hands go much... this is a fascinating fight to me and mad probs for Abraham appearing to give up every conceivable advantage to come over and fight a guy who cracked his jaw in two places. Lots of tension here, if Pantera falls behind, it's hard to see him not fighting hard to the bitter end. Pantera absolutely needed the extra weight and I think he's a bit more technically sound than he was their first go. Good luck.

I parlayed Miranda (+200) and Pac (2/7).

I remember watching their fight in Germany and telling myself: "if i had to play it again, i would have taken miranda"

He can win on agression, provided Pavlik didn't completely wreck him. I'm very concerned about that.

But it sure seems to be a ' do or die" fight for him.

Well, there you go.
I think we can stick a fork in Miranda FOREVER.

Hard loss, though, as he was outworking Abraham; as soon as he got tagged, he reverted to his old ways. His corner didn't do him many favours.

i thought it was the chin......i watched it again and i noticed during the 1st knockdown he was caught by a good shot and was hurt, but,he got hit with a brutal left hook on top of the head while going down that i think did the real damage...

kudos to abraham for not admiring his good work and following with the big left hook....

it was early in the round and he wasn`t savvy enough to hold and buy time...

some of these punchers just don`t know what to do in those circumstances...

i`m sorry to say...

Let's consider too it's Abraham that has to change tactics now and be more active/ agressive, or he will be outworked.

On the other hand, Miranda knows perfectly well what's in front of him; i very much doubt he will lose his temper this time around.

He started very well, but as soon as he got tagged solid in the third, it all went to hell.

Miranda definitely hasn't got a boxing head.
If he keeps facing punchers he will end up in a wheelchair because he can't think for shit inside this ring.
