Exellent week no loses. One bad thing is I strongly think that Chavez on steroids. Prior to this fight I re-watched many Chavez and Duddy fights and I don't understand how out of nowhere Chavez become so strong. And I am quite sure my opinion will be not popular.
Tyson Fury (medium) -210 WIN
Barrera (LARGE) -550 WIN
Chvez over 9.5 (medium)-180 WIN

I was praying for a line as I would have been all over Villa.

The real Sanchez had more talent in his fingernail than nephew has in his whole body.

:toast: :toast:

I would've been on Villa as well. Too bad.

Congrats on the Chavez fight guys on board! It was Junior who put in a good performance tonight, even elevating his game to the next level. Suppose I was chasing a bit with Duddy, but the wager was more or less insignificant. Is Roach really this good? Duddy really got the shit kicked out of him, and I think he should retire.

I was thinking the over in this fight and should have gone on it.

OVER in the Simon fight secured a small plus week!

Well done madmen!!!!

somebody posed the question on the over a few days back and I said I'd be nervous watching Duddy taking shots for 9 1/2 rds @-210. I honestly thought this fight should have been stopped around 9-10. Evan was on the under 11 1/2 rds and for all intents, that should have hit. Duddy was rocked numerous times. I can't believe the ref didn't go to the corner and say I'm not going to let you take more of this. I agree 100% that he should retire. He managed to stay on his feet for this one but his chin is now toast. Congrats on the good week brother :toast: :toast: :toast:. I think we all did pretty well :00hour

you should have seen the female fight on showtime tonight....that was ridiculous...

duddy has a ton of heart...

Just watched it. Did that dumb bitch want Finney to get killed or what . Cyborg had her defenseless and was showing mercy and the idiot ref still wouldn't stop it. Not a particularly good night for the Irish. We haven't had a solid Irish fighter since McGuigan and Steve Collins...come on Ireland, give us somebody to root for.

that ref's name is Kim Winslow and she is TERRIBLE
On many occasions she has stopped fights late, but this was just UNBELIEVABLE tonight...that poor Finney girl took beyond excessive punishment...it was making me sick to watch....kim winslow is inept

A thread on the sherdog forums about Kim Winslow, the worst referee in MMA

one guy's take on the Cyborg fight:

"that was beyond mma, that was close to murder "

still another and I agree with this:

"Horrible referee and much more emotional and less controlled than other refs. There is nothing wrong with female refs but they need to know what they are doing. "

"I don't think praying for her life qualifies as "intelligently defending herself"... "

When the fighter is turtled up and being beaten to fuck then it's time to stop the fight.

Thanks for the Round by Round guys!

Thanks for the Round by Round guys!

I wasn't able to watch the Duddy Vs Chavez fight tonight, but after reading your round by rounds, I'm not so disappointed with my pick. It was a loser pick, but it sounds like the ref or Duddy's corner should of stopped the fight to prevent all the unnecessary punishment Duddy was taking. The Texas factor (this state seems to let fights go a little longer than most), Chavez lack of power, and Duddy's will to continue were underappreciated by me.

If any one finds the Mendy and Zuniga result :)D Ghost ), I would be grateful. There probably was no fight.

Chavez Jr wins inside distance +153 - Medium - LOSS

Jean Paul Mendy/Fernando Zuniga Under 11? +130 - Small - RESULT UNKNOWN

3 Parlay- Chavez Jr -370 + De Jesus Vs Barrera Over 5? -240 + Rodriguez Vs Simon Over 8? -175 (=~+185) - Medium - WIN

Cheers! :toast:

Let's get'em next week!

Rene Alvarado w 10 MD over Orlando Rios. For the life of me I couldn't understand the wide odds. Alvarado was -1000 at some places. I didn't wager the dog but the fight looked level to me...on paper. Rios went down in rd 5 and that ended up being the difference in the fight.

No result on Mendy. Fight was probably canceled.

Anybody having problems with Boxrec? I get 100 fvcking ads popping up whenever I go to their site.

THere has been discussion about this problem on a BoxRec forum. It seems that not all computer operating systems are affected. Some people are getting the problem, others aren't. The BoxRec administrators are apparently looking into the matter.

I struggled a bit with the Fury-McDermott pick but changed horses and came out on the "right" side after viewing the weigh-in video. It wasn't just that Fury looked better physically than I have seen him, but he had what I would call the "look of a winner". He LOOKED like the man who really fancied the job. McDermott looked a bit unsure of himself, I thought. Still, McDermott always had a good chance to win this fight, and, of course, in the sixth and seventh rounds it looked very much as if he was going to pull this out. Fury outgamed him -- he wanted it more.

I liked fury -185 but was hesitant after reading your pick. Paul went big on it, you changed your pick and I saw the pic of McD and that was enough for me. Not a big wager but it certainly would have spoiled the good week. That was utterly painful to watch.

Yeah, the Boxrec thing was really irritating me. Clicking pages, it was actually redirecting me away from Boxrec and to other random sites??? Hope they get it sorted soon. Hasn't done it yet to me today.

In regards to the Alvarado-Rios fight, I couldn't figure why the hell there was even odds? Apparently Alvarado is considered a top level prospect, but I agree, the odds were wide, and the result confirmed it.
