Unbelievable....Getting the result we did in Turkey, I'll have to accept it. Going 1-0-1 is much better than 1-1

I think Syl got hosed though. Karm certainly the busier fighter but he landed at a very low %. Syls shots were jarring Karm....weird fcking day today.

from fightnews:

IBF middleweight champion ?Hurrikan? Sebastian Sylvester (33-3-1, 16 KOs) and mandatory challenger Roman ?Made in Hell? Karmazin (40-3-2, 26 KOs) battled to a twelve round split decision draw on Saturday night at the Jahnsportforum in Neubrandenburg, Germany. As expected, a very close and hard fought fight. The 37-year-old Karmazin was very active, but Sylvester showed good defense, better technical skills and was generally more effective, landing clean right hands throughout the fight. Scores were 118-111 for Sylvester, 117-111 for Karmazin, and 114-114. Sylvester retains his title with the draw.

That is EXACTLY how I saw the fight

it was close....i didn`t score r-b-r....and i gave the 12th to the russkie....

i still would have given it to sylvester,though...i liked his defense..he blocked alot of punches...and like you said, surprisingly landed the more serious, clean shots....

you never know...you figure the german would be busier and the russkie would land the bigger shots...

seemed just the opposite....

pretty nice stream,btw...appreciated...r

ok, apparently, the canadian judge scored one round 10:10. He was adviced by the officials that this wasnt possible. He had to change his scoring!
Thus the 114:114, otherwise it would have been 114:113 (for Karmazin).
They did an interview, but didnt ask if the score was in favor of Karmazin, but I'm afraid it was, thats probably also the reason why one member of Karmazins team was trying to take a photo from the scorecards....

Fishy situation!

Eastside was the same way for the most part. I thought Karmazin won 7 rounds.

Fightnews scored it 116-113 for Sylvester, but many rounds were close. There was a skirmish at ringside when a member of Team Karmazin objected to the tally of the 114-114 card.

I missed the 1st 2 rds. Give Karm those 2 rds and my card is closer but I still thought Syl won the fight. Maybe I'm losing it too. I definately thought Karm was throwing nice combos and certainly MUCH busier but his shots weren't getting through for the most part. Syl threw a lot less but his shots were moving Karm. It's subjective and perhaps I'm wrong but I honestly thought Syl deserved the nod...at least in Germany :142smilie
