Kind of a quiet week coming up, with Americans celebrating the 4th of July.

But we do have 3 really good fights:

Souleymane M'baye (37-3-1) vs. Paul McCloskey (19-0)

Anselmo Moreno (25-1-1) vs. Mahyar Monshipour (31-3-2)

Alexander Dimitrenko (29-0) vs. Eddie Chambers (34-1)

Juanma vs Gamboa: Top Rank's Big Plan For 2010

By Mark Vester

Top Rank's Bob Arum has a master plan to slowly build a mega-bout between two of his young stars. Over the next year, Arum plans to build in the direction of a featherweight showdown between undefeated fighters Juan Manuel Lopez and Yuriorkis Gamboa. Lopez is the WBO super bantamweight champion and by the end of the year he plans to rise to the featherweight division, where Gamboa is the WBA's "regular" champion.

Arum told BoxingScene.com's Jose Aguirre that a fight between Gamboa and Lopez can happen as early as the middle of next year.

"A huge fight would be Juan Manuel Lopez against Gamboa. And that is the fight that I'm [going to be] building for maybe a year and a half to two years from now. And that is going to be a monster fight. The biggest fight ever in the featherweight division," Arum said.

After his weekend win over Olivier Lontchi, Juanma spoke with BoxingScene.com's Bill Emes, and said he is in favor of meeting Gamboa once the two of them have built up their names to a certain level.

"Obviously we are both making our names right now. We are rising stars. Once we get up there - I think it will be a great fight together. No question about it, we are both great boxers," Juanma said

You beat me to it Ghost :)
It was one sided, but also fun fight to watch. Booth is dynamo in there with nice variety of punches (soft punches unfortunately :mj07: ).

Haven't seen a line yet, but I am hoping they will have one. Fight is tomorrow.

Don't know much about Drozd.

Mbaye will now fight Colin Lynes, who replaces the injured McCloskey. OK fight for last minute.

Hi Kramden, I am looking for a line too. What do you think about the fight/outcome?

Cheers
LotL

Wilson will have to score a KO to win. Wilson has not looked too good lately and has become the king of the excuse: i.e. my thyroid, insomnia, out of shape etc. He was awful in the Contender so it's hard to figure with this guy. He has 2 qualities that he does well and that's punch and take a punch. But he can fatigue and can be extremely lazy and is sometimes content to run out the clock and lose another dreary decision. Drozd has been dropped in some bouts and Borat Arslin stopped him in 5 a few years a go in a rough fight. Drozd by decsion 75%, Wilson by KO 25%.
