Wilson will have to score a KO to win. Drozd has been dropped in some bouts and Borat Arslin stopped him in 5 a few years a go in a rough fight. Drozd by decsion 75%, Wilson by KO 25%.
Borat :mj07: I think the line started at +600 or so and then when the line jacked to +900 I thought it was worth 20 bucks or so tickle since Wilson has just been so disappointing lately but with the chin and the punch of the Ding A Ling Man and Drozd's stoppage to non-puncher Borat, had to get something down. At first I was thinking stick just over 100 for a clean $1000 but Wilson has flopped around like a floundering fish in the ring as of late.... let's hope he can land the fight changing punch.

Drozd stops the Ding a Ling Man in 11

Top-rated cruiserweight Grigory Drozd (32-1, 24 KOs) became the first ever to stop the ultra durable American Darnell ?Ding-a-Ling Man? Wilson (23-9-3, 20 KOs), scoring the eleventh-round stoppage in a foul-filled one-sided slugfest on Thursday night at the ?Dynamo? Sports Arena in Moscow, Russia. Drozd dominated the whole fight with his precision yet hard punching, barely losing a single minute in any round and stalking his opponent around the ring. The fan-friendly action turned into an ugly foul match after the seventh round and both boxers were deducted some points by referee Victor Panin. With his right eye virtually shut and being horribly battered in later rounds, Wilson retired in his corner, though never down, after the tenth round. One of the best wins for WBO #1, WBA #2 and WBC/IBF #5 ranked Russian fighter, who also retained the WBO Asia Pacific and PABA belts in process.

Good win for Drodz!
I would have taken Wilson @+900, but it was only at sportsbook!

End of the line for the Ding A Ling Man. He must have been taken some medication for his insomnia which triggered his thyroid condition, which caused nausea and then migraine headaches and as a result his stamina was compromised and he broke both his hands - yeah, that must be it. :142smilie :142smilie :mj07: :mj07:

The Over 8.5 rounds was a solid play on this fight. Didn't see the line anywhere but sportsbook as Zerwas said.

My plays so far...

My plays so far...

Friday

Mezaache -170- Small
I think he wins the rematch here. He has improved with his boxing skills and higher punch output. Also, he will have lots of confidence boxing at home coming off his big win over Jon Thaxton.

M'Baye vs Lynes Over 9.5 -215- Small
Lynes is not a puncher and M'Baye seems to have lost his good workrate and drive.

Chebah vs. Munoz Under 7.5 -120- Large
Munoz looks way out of his league here. I think he will overwhelmed because of his inexperience fighting at the next level up.

Ragosina vs. Ramsey Over 9.5 -185- Small
Ramsey is tough and has never been stopped and Ragosina isn't fighting Iva Weston. I see this one going the distance.

Saturday

Graf vs. Cruz Under 9.5 +285- Small
I see Graf wearing Cruz down by an accumulation of damage. Graf has a good height and reach advantage. Cruz is 38. She has been very inactive and fighting at 115 at this late in her career has to be draining.

Anselmo Moreno -280 - Medium
Monshipour is 4-6year past his prime, fighting at the wrong weight (118 instead of 122), and has had trouble with southpaws. This will be Monshipour first real test in his comback. Moreno is in his prime, very active and a talented boxer.

Good Luck Guys!

Alexander Dimitrenko vs Eddie Chambers

Alexander Dimitrenko vs Eddie Chambers

Anyone seen an Eddie Chambers by decision prop?

I can't seem to find a bookie that takes American action with prop lines for this fight.

"the bunker"
i just watched some dimitrenko video and i was surprised at his movement and hand speed for that height...he`s trim and throws some nice shots...when things go a little south in fights,he`s not afraid to clinch and bide his time...nice uppercut,too...

he doesn`t look real strong,though...

i think chambers is going have real trouble with that height/reach/jab....

chambers is an excellent tyechnician, but, has a tendency to be a tad sloth-like in there and falls asleep for large parts of rounds...

be tough for chambers to win this by decision in germany...

should i throw a few bucks away on chambers?...

i dunno...don`t feel good about it..i`ll be curious to see what fightwriter thinks about this bout.....

would love to see it...hope theres a stream...

My plays:

PARLAY
Moreno/Dmitrenko/McCarter

Moreno on the road, but an excellent little fighter. Monshipour coming down in weight and a tad shopworn.
Dmitrenko is massive and has good skills. Not sure how Eddie wins this. Don't think he does.
McCarter fighting in Vegas against a Japanese opponent she has already beaten.

STRAIGHT
Mezaache
Ragosina OVER 9.5
Ramsey

Mezaache is a decent price here. I like him by decision. Fighting at home in his first defense.

Ragosina, as matt pointed out, is in much tougher today. Prior to the Weston fight, she had fought 4 straight decisions. I like this to go the route.

SMALL on Ramsey because, despite her age, she is a good fighter. KO'ed Toughill and Achieng. Achieng went the distance with Ragosina twice.
Longshot bet at a great price.

Thanks matt
You were hot last week, so I like that our picks look similar here
I think I might add that Chebah under....it does look like a huge gap in class

One thing that worries me about the Moreno-Moshipour fight is the similarities between this bout and Cordoba-Dunne a few months back. Panamanian champ on the road, defending against a fighter with a rabid fanbase. Dunne was a lot younger than Monshipour, though.

Thread over at boxrec about this:
http://forum.boxrec.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=104659

Regardless, I think Moreno wins this fight.

Good luck to us

layla-mccarter_fujin-raika.jpg

American Boxing Promotions hosts their inaugural card ?The Rematch? this Friday at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event features WBA and GBU lightweight champion Layla McCarter (31-13-5, 7 KOs) of Las Vegas against Fujin Raika (18-5-1, 6 KOs) of Tokyo, Japan in a rematch that?s been seven years in the making. In April of 2002, McCarter traveled to Tokyo Japan and won a majority 8-round decision over then undefeated Raika. McCarter would go on to win four world titles while Raika vowed to exact revenge

I don't follow the chicks too much but looking at boxrec, I thought McC was way overpriced. She has a higher losing % and is a little bit older. The 1st fight was a MD. Almost certainly a dec but -500 on the over is too wide for me.

The strange thing is that this women's bout is listed for 12 rounds. The over 9.5 is expensive, but I have seen an over 11.5 as well.

I don't remember seeing a 12 round women's bout.
But boxrec says clearly 12 rounds.

This is the first one I can ever remember.

My plays

-Moreno will be my big play this week. Got on for -280 and I think he's too young and on a very good upswing for the aging Monshipour. Venue is a concern for both the crowd and the cards but I think Monshipour will fade in the 2nd half.

-I know I said chalk kills but I cant see Releford beating the likes of Alexeev. Rel needs to come down 26lbs from the last fight. Alexeev simply wilted against the tough Ramiraz and was up wide on the cards. Releford doesnt bring it like Ramiraz. I took the very wide chalk on this. With the wt loss, I wouldnt be shocked to see Rel get stopped but likely goes to a wide dec.

-very small play on Diment. I was waiting on the weigh in and chambers came in shape. Chambers has a shot but he has a huge uphill battle. I dont think Chambers has it mentally but we'll see. Even if he gets by Dim, he's in for a pounding v the Klits.

-Considering a few plays today. Matt your plays and logic look solid. Good luck:toast:

-I have a good number on a rare tennis play-119 on Fed.
