I said it from the day it was announced
this card tonight was not PPV worthy
the main event was dreadful...I heard Oscar is expecting "between 500-600 thousand PPV buys"

Are they serious with that shit?
I will stunned if thing breaks 200,000 buys.
Juan Diaz has never been in a PPV main event, and Marquez was the b-side of every big fight he's been in.

Next up is Shane-Mora
They should fill up the Staples Center with that one.

Diaz is bad
really bad

Yeah when your academic career looks brighter than your boxing career it is time to retire from boxing. Diaz was never a boxer or a puncher. He won fights by outworking guys with relentless punching. If he can't deliever a high punch output anymore, then he can't win fights. I like the the guy as a person, but as fighter his performance was one of survival. He was a world champion, so we all knew he could survive, but I wanted to see him try to win.

Let's get'em next week!

Well well well...what a fun week!!!

After I added it all up I came out ahead by 41 cents! Not kidding. If I was a great capper I would've just gone on Pirog and the Bika under. Those were my two top plays, and they both came thru. But as a fan I decided to have some fun this week and am not disappointed. A positive week is a positive week right? I'll get back to basics next weekend.

Observations:

If Bika would've controlled himself I would've had a decent weekend. My thought that Bika would be too strong for Mendy was correct.

I shoulda coulda woulda stuck with my original thought that this was Rosas' time. I could see that he was showing big improvement, and thought that I would see him as a 2 or 3 to 1 dog against Nongqayi. The close odds turned my tide and that bit me in the ass.

Pirog is a stud. I had a very strong feeling that he would shine here, and I'm glad he did.

No dice with the Casamayor or Juarez hopeful plays.

I was right, Zbik cannot punch his way out of a wet paper bag. He will get absolutely iced against Sergio Martinez.

I should of stayed away from Gevor. Despite me being a fan of his, I had a strange feeling about this one.

Good thing Theophane got the nod.

I did not go at all on the Marquez fight, but never had a doubt that he would win this. Shoulda mentioned this to fellow players. Diaz has lost it.

Fun weekend guy's!!! Back to basics next weekend.
