Load up on this one before the line moves

I hope a lot of you got in the opener as it stayed +17.5 for quite awhile after my post. And the first move only bumped it to +17.

Maskaev +16.5 is now +111 but it stayed +137 for weeks after my post

As frankie mentioned, Peters opened at +175, but I got him at +140. Unfortunatly I didn't play the limit on that one, but it'll still set up a good scalp or could wait and hedge with Toney by decision at even greater + money.

Barrera took Juarez lightly and was caught with a huge shot early in the fight that he never really recovered from, and he still pulled out a draw/win. I think Barrera will be much more focused this time around and will outbox the limited Juarez without taking all the big shots.

Enjoy the Gatti fight...should be a great one

Attention...Notice...Warning...etc...

PULLING my play on Williams -125...buying it out with Skelton +130 to break even or win some change

Williams weighed in at 288...thats 21 lbs heavier than his last fight with Skelton.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but it has to be done

I agree with the buy out. I really wanted to put a big play on Williams, but he's 54 pounds heavier than he was in Sept 2002 and he's only 6 foot 1.5 inches. He was 263 on 5/20/06, so he gained 25 lbs in 1.5 months. I know he's been using a oxygen tent to try to increase his stanima, but with the extra weight he must be doing more sleeping than training.

Williams is a better boxer than Skelton, but with that kind of weight he will likely fade in the late rounds. Also, Skelton has a good chin, so it's unlikely Williams will KO Skelton early when he has his power. Maybe Willliams should just lean on Skelton and smother Skelton until he gives up. What a shame Williams didn't attempt to get in shape, because Frank Warren feels the winner of this fight might get a bigger payday with Nikolay "The Beast from the East" Valuev.

That being said I still think Williams should win this one, but with William's lack of training, Skelton might steal the late rounds to win the fight.

So a no play is the right call Boxlocks.

wtf with williams?......288?....

does this guy have 2 i.q. points to rub together?........how can he come in more than 20 pounds heavier than his last bout with skelton?......

i`m off him...

sounds like williams is about one chicken fried steak away from being teddy kennedy....

inexcusable...

casamayor is shot...he may still win vs a pedestrian pearson...but,he`s done.....

reflexes shot...legs gone.....no snap on his punches....

i really don`t like the what atlas is scoring the fight,though.....pearson plays defense for 2:30 of the round....lands one flashy right hand...and it`s his round...

i thought that stuff went out with ali...

i said in frank`s thread that i thought this would be semi-competitive early with casa being to strong late.......

it sort of played out that way.....

but,i still say that casa`s not the same guy...not even close...

they fight again, corrales SHOULD decapitate him....

I agree completely on Casamayor's performance tonight. At 34 years old (as far as we know), after all the wars against very big punchers, and a few hundred ameteur bouts...he's obviously on the way down. However, there's a very good chance he took this guy lightly. Casa's belly was soft, no defintion at all. Pearson is crafty against southpaws and he made Casa come forward and lead which is not his game. Pearson's quik with the right hand and he throws it from a very awkward angle. I'm not saying Casa's not shot, but its hard to bring your A game against Pearson when you've been fighting Castillo and Corrales.

Either way, it was a slow start for Casa tonight and the headbutts definitly contributed to the stoppage, but I had him well ahead on points anyway. Agree that Teddy was making the fight seem closer than it was, which he does quite often.

i had him ahead,too....i was a little antsy because i went a little larger on my parlay after seeing your plays... i`m glad that casa still has a bit of a second gear...

pearson never impressed me..particularly when the going gets tough...

nice job...way to start the weekend....it looks very promising...

Yo gee-dub

Did you take a look at the Macc-Domingez Over 9.5

I know -280 is a little much for you, but if you hook it up with Sturm next week it gets close to -200

Any thoughts chief?

6 rounds for Casamayor 2 for Pearson I have no clue what Teddy was watching. Pearson was never to visibly hurt but the guy's heart is shit. He quit against peden and didn't want anymore tonight either.

mayorga`s dead on about the peden fight....i think that bout is the one that formed my impression of pearson...

i`m honestly not all that familiar with dominguez...i mean i`ve never seen him....

but,i read that he`s durable....

i`m waiting on some british fellers to give me their take on the 288 lb williams....i`m sure they`ll be all indignant...lol

sad part is that williams actually has talent...

mayorga....you take a look at the ufc card?.....

I watch the UFC lines and will bet something if I like it (Lidell-COuture III) or if it is an obvious scalp (Cummo-Goulet I got Cummo at +315). Overall though I don't know a ton about the UFC. I do know that Frank Mir looked like absolute dogshit at the weigh in today though. I think Christianson,Stevenson and Sylvia are all live. Back when Stevenson was above +200 if you bet all 3 you would have only needed 1 to win for a some kind of profit and I think at least 1 of them will win.

i have a pending UFC parlay

Spina (winner last night)
Ortiz over Shamrock and Aynlov (how you spell ?) over Sylvia

paying about -115

both UFC favorites are just better fighters overall. Sylvia has a punching chance but that's it. Shamrock not even that big of a punching chance.

I have Skelton and Spinks (by decision) on a parlay as well.

spread...i like your chances.....nice card...

arlovski/sylvia is a crazy match-up.....

very excited to see #3.....after watching the last go-round,in which the tide seemed to turn every 10 seconds.....

big punchers...both aggressive...arlovski more well rounded....i expect arlovski to try and take sylvia to the mat....

i can`t see shamrock beating ortiz....even though ortiz` aura of invincibility is long gone.....

shamrock needs to stay off the ground...tito just destryed him on the ground in the first fight...

i have jeff monson in a few pars....the guy hasn`t lost in a long time...and his opponent hasn`t beaten anyone of note....the guy`s something like 5`9" tall and 240...with about 4% body fat.....and surprisingly decent stamina...

and i think that mayorga had a point with stevenson at 155...getting almost 2-1 odds....

either he`ll be totally drained getting to 155 and submitted...or he`ll be strong as an ox at the weight...

balls to the wall...edwards deserves to be favored....better all around game by far....

but at 2-1,wtf...stevenson needs to start quickly and do some early g and p..... edwards has been decisioned 6 times...

The good news...Maccarinelli finished off the Casamayor parlay

The bad news...Macc finished Domingez in the 9th round, needed 9.5 to cash the Over

Very surprised that he was able to stop Domingez, thought I had a great chance to hit both plays on that one

Oh well

Williams gets outworked!

Williams gets outworked!

Pretty sad when a brawler like Skelton can outbox a out-of-shape boxer like Williams.
117-112, 117-112, 115-114 easy win for Skelton

Again nice buy out Boxlocks.

btw I like Karmazin 12 rd Dec +190 over Spinks.

Spinks will look good and flashy early, but Karmazin's natuaral size, accurate combinations, and power will prove the difference late in the fight. In addition, Karmazin has underrated footwork and timing on his punches.

Good luck guys,
Matt
