I think Greely has a good shot here, the hometown advantage won't help Couser if this fight goes the way I think it will.
Couser has a horrible chin and has a good chance of being stopped every time he gets in the ring. In his last 4 fights, he has been ko'd in the 5th, tko'd in the 5th, and dq'ed in the 1st.
Couser is 35 years old and hasn't fought in 12 months. Greeley is a fresh 24 and has been very active fighting 3 times already this year. He also is getting himself into better shape lately, weighed 246 at the end of last year, 230 in his next fight, 220 after that, and down to 213 in his last fight.
Don't get me wrong, Greely is not very good. But he's young and getting better. Couser is getting old and inactive, plus he was horrible to start with. I think younger, fresher, better conditioned and more active Greely will put the pressure on and test that old fragile chin. Couser hasn't gone past 5 rounds in 4 years.
The kicker here is +350, couldn't pass that up. Its basically a play against Couser more than a play on Greeley. I played Zumbrun +550 over Bowe for the very same reason. Zumbrun was horrible but Bowe is completely shot.
