I kinda like Matolcsi. Wondering what has us on opposites on this bout.

I have no opinion Greeley, bout all records aside, I agree, Couser sux. I can't bet or offer it, but Couser dont belong that high a fav vs anyone IMO. Couser is hometown guy though.

I just think Faradji is a very live dog here considering some of Matolcsi's recent losses to horrible competition. Matolcsi spends a lot of time on the canvas, he was down 4 times against 38 year old light punching Hinteregger before ending the fight with one lucky punch. He later lost a split decision to the same scrub. Matolcsi was stopped by light punching Trabant and Hare. He only has one decent win on his resume.

At first glance, it looks like Matolcsi would be the bigger guy weighing 154 lately. But he weighed in at 142 just last year so he's been fighting way over his natural weight. Both of these guys are basically welterweights.

Faradji is not exactly a great fighter, he has some bad losses also. But he fought well against David Barnes in England and has a few other decent wins. At +110 it was worth a small shot, wish I would've waited, +124 now at pinnacle.

I think Greely has a good shot here, the hometown advantage won't help Couser if this fight goes the way I think it will.

Couser has a horrible chin and has a good chance of being stopped every time he gets in the ring. In his last 4 fights, he has been ko'd in the 5th, tko'd in the 5th, and dq'ed in the 1st.

Couser is 35 years old and hasn't fought in 12 months. Greeley is a fresh 24 and has been very active fighting 3 times already this year. He also is getting himself into better shape lately, weighed 246 at the end of last year, 230 in his next fight, 220 after that, and down to 213 in his last fight.

Don't get me wrong, Greely is not very good. But he's young and getting better. Couser is getting old and inactive, plus he was horrible to start with. I think younger, fresher, better conditioned and more active Greely will put the pressure on and test that old fragile chin. Couser hasn't gone past 5 rounds in 4 years.

The kicker here is +350, couldn't pass that up. Its basically a play against Couser more than a play on Greeley. I played Zumbrun +550 over Bowe for the very same reason. Zumbrun was horrible but Bowe is completely shot.

What are your thoughts on the Diaz-Jerez fight?

Diaz opened -455 / +280 back, and after a few more more moves ended up -140 / +120. Huge line movement in smaller fights like this will usually predict the winner. But I didn't like Jerez at +280 so I definitly can't play him at +120. Actually thinking about going against the grain here and taking the fav at -128 that was once -455.

Faradji dominated Matolcsi...120 -108,120-109, 119-110

I kinda screwed myself on that one. When I added that play I posted it as lay .3 to win .35. But when I added it to the list on the top page, for some reason I layed .25 Since the top page is more visible, I decided to leave it at .25 and changed my real play of .35...oh well.

The Jones-Moore fight hurt a bit, had 3 live dogs riding on it and got burned.

Jones (who I played at +300) had Moore down twice in the 3rd round but failed to finish. Moore had Jones down twice in the 5th and finished him in the 6th. Sounds like a great fight, I need to find a copy of that one.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Joe Morales went the distance with Joan Guzman and Rocky Juarez in his last two fights and now he gets stopped by Rogers Mtagwa???

To make things worse...

Oliveira's eardrums obviously weren't recovered. In a fight that should've easily gone the distance, he quit in his corner after the 8th round.

Sorry felllas

I had some serious bad luck this weekend.

From fight news...

A heavyweight bout between Cliff Couser and Andrew Greeley at the Hancock County Civic Center in Bay St Louis, Mississippi, ended in a no decision after Couser was injured due to a ring malfunction. In round three, part of the ring floor (called a shim) gave way. Time was called to repair it, but the board gave out again in round five, causing Couser to twist his left ankle. The bout then called a no decision, because the injury to Couser was due to a problem with the ring, as opposed to an injury caused during combat (such as an unintentional headbutt, for example), where the bout would have gone to the scorecards. The result was bad news for Greeley, who was winning all the rounds by outworking Couser to that point.

An excellent job of capping and a +350 winner...down the drain

It's all my fault! I tailed you on 4 plays so it was bound to happen. Lately I can't get out of my own way. Talk about being snake bit, yikes! I think I'll bet all my plays and then come back and bet double on the other side. Call me Frank the fade.

Sure, and I'll be out of town and maybe not able to bet. Not to get presonal, but for anyone over 50 or so, have a PSA TEST ONCE IN A WHILE. Enough said. It will sneak up on you.
