I turned a small profit of about 3 hund this week. Thank you Felix Sturm. I only had 1 hund on Torres and it appears now that the guy may have been hurt by a headbutt. That I can excuse as it was very difficult to catch even on the replay. Jesus...3 Knockdowns inside 60 seconds! Sorry to see you lose the over on Peterson Box. I'm almost at 10% recoup.

Thx to the boxing gods for not putting up a line on raheem. His opponent lost to Fana who was destroyed by Barrera. Any close odds and I would have had a bit on Raheem. Raheem was knocked the puck out in 4. A few yrs ago I hit him at 15-1 dec over Morales.

I actually grabbed the under on Peterson vs. Castaneda. Opened on 5dimes at +210 and hit it a few times. Castaneda is durable but there was a big gulf in class and speed. And if you look, Peterson has been getting more stoppages than decisions in his past several fights.

Over time I figured Peterson would beat him into submission. It was a closer call than I would have liked and it was frustrating when Peterson would seem to be on the verge of a KO only to take ill-timed breaks in punching.:0corn

ditto....the fana result is why i asked about the bout in a separate thread.....i would have surely jumped on raheem,in spite of the size difference....

better to be lucky than good sometimes...

i missed playing the peterson over...and on that i again was lucky....

but,i went back and watched that after the fact and didn`t the ref`s reaction at the time of the stoppage not raise some ???? in anybody else`s mind?.....

looked like he was going to reinsert a mouthpiece or something....he asked the timekeeper to stop the round clock....

he didn`t wave it off....he sent peterson to a neutral and then seemed confused about how to proceed....i think there was around 10 seconds left in the round....

been some strange stuff lately....some pretty bad beats....some refs acting as though theres not much happening between their ears at crucial times in fights...

but,it`ll pass....hopefully

Is that you punchmaster? I guess you didn't have time to post before the fight started either

Post your plays before the fight starts or don't post them at all, its not a hard concept to understand

I just wrote a huge write-up about bad beats and the Cortez horseshit that happened last week, but when I tried to submit it my internet connection was down and it lost the whole thing :cuss:

Just one more example of the bad luck I've had in the last 2 weeks...lol...you boys should play the other side of everything I post untill reality kicks back in.

Untill I get back the $1000 that Cortez stole from me, every post I make will end like this...

Btw, In my huge post that got deleted and wasted most of my night, I mentioned that the Peterson Over was not a bad beat, just a close call that could've went either way, but went against me.

Castaneda's corner stopping the fight with 10 secs left in the 9th round, while there was a break in the action, is what cost me the win. I know Peterson's trainer well, and if the Cast. corner didn't stop the fight at the end of the 9th, it would've gone the distance. Two weeks ago, the other Peterson was dominating his fight going into the last round of the fight, and had his opponent hurt on several occasions during the fight. But when the last round came, Peterson's trainer told him not to take any chances and get out there with the win. Thats exactly what the same trainer would've told Lamont going into the last round, had Castaneda's corner not pulled the plug with 10 secs left in the round...I would've hit my Over

Where have you been the last few years?

Good to see we finally have someone on this board who actually gets the point of this board.

There are plenty of guys around here that understand how this works. But none of them are willing to stand up to the guys who come in here and post their winners after the fight are over.

Congrats on having morals, standards, and good judgement. Most of the guys around here don't know what those words mean

Keep posting

Uh-oh, the "king " has spoken. Forgive us peons, your worship, we are just lame ignorant mutts. I don't give a rats ass if you have a hard-on for punchy. That's your business. You come in here bad mouthing "other" guys who don't know what the purpose of the board is, etc. Think about what you are saying. Launching a broad attack aganist what seems to be almost everyone is bad form. As an intelligent, consistent poster you had earned my respect. You are doing your best to change that right quick.

So, bitter bitchlox . Decided to take a shot at me after I was long gone, eh? Well great, allow me to retort. Let's keep things real here fella, what cost you the win was not some long winded explanation about how you know Peterson's trainer, blah, blah, blah, it was simply that you loaded up and layed chalk on a piece of shit pick. You had an up an coming fighter that just signed a promotional contract with Top Rank, that being his first fight under the Top Rank banner along with him hearing all the criticism his brother took for his sparring session with Trejo. He's also trying to sit down on his punches more, and then you had an aging Mexican who can't punch shit that had a trilogy with a midwest fighter named Craig Weber. Did I have the balls to take the +170 on the under- No, but taking the over in the above scenario was much further from my mind. Instead of your rant about morals/standards along with your theory about the Peterson's and their trainer and why your pick lost, you could have summed it up so much more quickly for yourself and everyone else with this: " Hi everybody, I'm not only an average capper , but I'm also an asshole" . Keep it simple box and save yourself and the "guys around here who don't know what morals , standards, and good judgement means" the hassle.

"the bunker"
anybody here ever take "playground dispute adjudication skills 101"?......lol

i think we ought to turn the page here...

i suggest that box and punchmaster stay out of one another`s threads...period...even if one guy takes a shot at the other..do it in your own thread...

frankie...if you have a problem with b.l.,stay out of his threads...

b.l.....ditto with franks......

i`m gonna say it again...b.l. was one of the first to post regularly here...he`s been the linchpin...that means something...to me anyway...

does that mean he runs roughshod over other posters?...obviously not...but,punchmaster`s not exactly a shrinking violet himself...

box can rub some the wrong way...he`s been successful, and has an ego....and suggesting that kramden is punchmaster was a bad idea(punchmaster,if you ARE KRAMDEN,that would suck...but,i`m quite sure thats not the case...so i apologize in advance for mentioning it...apologize to you to kramden)....

but b.l. posts plays and keeps a tab on himself...nobody else does....and he just came off back to back flukey bad beats...

hows about cutting him some slack for his longstanding good service to the forum?....he rubs you the wrong way, don`t read his thread.....

use some self control...

seriously....lets get back to boxing.....

I respect you a lot Box but your comments are completely uncalled for.
You should not label everyone with the same shit brush.

I expect better from you.
