Who has the scoop on Nuzhnenko, the guy Hatton is fighting? ...Zerwas maybe??? I'm finding it impossible to get any footage on the guy. It's not exactly going to take a world beater to beat Hatton. The guy was buzzed by mediocre and 39 yr old Branco his last time out. They have matched Hatton perfectly so far but perhaps he bit off more than he can chew this time. Yuri is talking up a pretty good game. Anybody think he can back it up? At the top level Hatton gets drilled. Just not sure how good the Ukrainian is.

Hey Romi

I took a look at this one, and my feeling is that the odds are justified due to location. I don't think Nuzhnenko is world class at all, nip and tuck with Irving Garcia being indicitive. These two are probably even up skill-wise, but Hatton is on a bit of a roll lately. He beat N'dou too, despite the draw verdict. Should be a close fight, and maybe worth a small shot, but nothing major at all. More likely seems the over to me.

Man, boxrec is for me becoming unusable due to all these windows and pop-ups taking over the site. My computer is detecting threats and it's slowing my whole system down. Anybody got an update on this situation or a way to talk to the administrator, or a suitable alternative?

Vicente Escobedo vs. Raymundo Beltran fight on Telefutura is off. The new main event will be feature former Cuban Olympian Erislandy Lara (11-0, 6 KOs) against Puerto Rican power puncher William Correa (8-3, 8 KOs) in a ten rounder. The six round co-feature is unbeaten jr featherweight Ricky Lopez (7-0, 6 KOs) against dangerous Derrick Wilson (6-1-2, 2 KOs). The event takes place at the Softball Country Complex in Denver, Colorado.

It's not his computer. I use 3 different computers and that BS is happening on all 3. I used boxrec yesterday for a few minutes and had no less than 15 pop ups. I have pop up control and it wont work. I'm hesitant to download anything because then I'm at the mercy of that software. This is a BOXREC problem and they should fix it. The problem is beyond annoying.

Yeah, I can't find any footage of the guy either?? I have seen Senchenko though, the guy that widely outpointed Nuzh, and he doesn't seem exceptional either. Just your standard tough, straight-ahead sort. I think Sench would beat Hatton, but Nuzh is obviously a step down from him. Even-up as I see it.

I'm trying to download a fight right now, Romi.

I have seen short excperts from his fight against Senchenko, but I didnt really pay attention too much...from what I remember, which isnt much, he looked solid, but nothing special....he's more of a boxer, and if I recall correclt not overly agressive...

Magic should get the W here, especially since the fight is in England, and the Russian isnt much of a puncher.

Thx Zerwas. Doesn't appear that ANYBODY is too high on the Ukrainian. I think Hatton is very ordinary. I was hoping for the Judah fight to go through cause Hatton isn't in that class but they were too wise to take that fight. Hatton is being handled ala Chavez jr style...being matched perfectly.

My pick this weekend

My pick this weekend

Luciano Leonel Cuello/Saul Alvarez Under 8? -135 - Small

Bernabe Concepcion/Juan Manuel Lopez Over 8? -105 - Medium

Hernan Marquez/Nonito Donaire Under 7? -105 - Large
Hernan drops and keeps his right hand low and is open all night for Donaire's left hook.

Good Luck Guys!

I like the Alvarez pick. Golden Boy has him lined up for a September 18th fight so I don't expect him to mess around and risk getting a cut

Weekend picks so far

Weekend picks so far

Antwone Smith (-600) - large I hit it for what I could. Can anyone say 100-90? Smith seems to be making dramatic improvement every time out. Tyner a tough guy, but not on the skill level at all of Smith.

4 parlay - A.Smith, S.Alvarez, N. Donaire, JM Lopez (-135) - medium well I got Alvarez at -575, and Juanma at -500. Alvarez was disappointing last time out, but I still think he's got star quality. Back on home ground in Mexico should help. Cuello a tough guy but I don't think he's up to the task. If he couldn't beat a very average Chavez Jr. on the night, I don't think he can challenge Alvarez, who in my book would open up a can of whoop-ass on Jr.

Juanma could get tested a bit vs. Concepcion, but I don't see the upset happening. Smith and Donaire are just about as solid as it gets, me thinks.

Still got some other things going. I'll be back!
