Unfortunately you are too late to
jump on the Quiles-Cauthen over.
I hit my first 2 unit play tonight
with an easy 12 round decision.

I believe Oly has the Bojado line
at 5 but you better hurry!

I will probably have a few small plays
between, but I have three huge plays
and a couple decent ones on my list for
the weekend of 9/13. I will e-mail you the
big plays, can't tell you here for obvious
reasons.

Good to have your experience here
at "off the wall" boxing. If you have been
following Fletcher, GW, and I for the last
three months, you know how easy it is
to win money on boxing. If not stay tuned,
I will prove that this is by far the easiest
sport to handicap.

KOD, I agree with you. re: Jermain Taylor

KOD, I agree with you. re: Jermain Taylor

JermainTaylor has more talent than just about everyone in the divsion. He is a solid boxing technition that throws a super jab, great combinations and excellent body shots (some borderline shots). I have been watching him since the olympics and he is one on my favorites boxers to watch because he always seems nullify the opponents offense. Plus, he is always in great shape and he never gets tired.

One of the Best cards on Showtime in a Long Time

Those were some excellent fights tonight. Reid was spectacular and Freitas showed so much determination after getting knocked down. Give credit to Barrios though; the guy wouldn't quit. I really enjoyed those fights!

Good job BOXLOCKS on the OVERS! Also, thanks for the heads up on the overs line for the Freitas fight.

YTD total: 6-1 +2.90 units
1 unit plays: 5-1 +0.90 units
2 unit plays: 1-0 +2.00 units

Expanded Record
Favorites: 1-1 - 3.75 units
Big Dogs: 0
Overs:4-0 +5.65 units
Unders:1-0 +1 unit

wow thanks so much to bl and others. it's soo sweet to win a couple of wagers that i wouldn't have even thought of playing without you guys and your insights. enjoying watching the fight game and now having a place to go to get expert insight to plunk a few bucks down is awesome. hope you guys don't mind me coatailing ya a bit till i have something worth offering myself. bl saw in a previous post where you were gonna e mail someone with some of your picks due to "obvious reasons" i really don't know what that means and it's none of my business but would really appreciate being kept in the loop on your thoughts and plays that you might not post on the forum. would you mind letting me know your plays as well? was just thinking about the evander fight coming up. he is one of my favorite warriors of all time but he has looked pretty bad in his last fights. i would hate to go against him but do ya think he can come up with a huge effort one more time? like you said bl maybe the over since i doubt he gets knocked out but do ya think he will win the fight? thanks again wooohooo to be able to bet the fight game with people offering insight and know what they are talking about. yak

I will definitly post the plays I have
eventually but I want to see if any
of the lines move in my favor before
I put my money down. GW wasn't
kidding when he said the Olympic
boxing oddsmaker checks this sight.
In the last week the line moved on
two of my plays right after I posted
them. I usually get my cash down
and warn my good bud GW so he
can check it out and get his cash
down before the big line move.
UT-L has his e-mail address right
there on his posts, that is why I
said I would let him know. If you
give me your e-mail I will do the
same for you. If not I usually post
a few days before each fight so
you will have plenty of time to get
in on them.

Btw, the over could be risky in the
Toney-Holy fight. I heard that Toney
is keeping on the extra weight so he
won't get pushed around by the bigger
guy. Very bad idea. Holyfield has a good
chance of winning this fight. He will get
outboxed early but should wear Toney
down in the late rounds.

Still looking at that one.

thanks

thanks

thanks bl i would sure love to get in on the ground floor before the lines move. the oscar dh. fight opened like -165 and is now something around -245. ]don't know why toney would take that approach as holyfield has spent alot of his career fighting that size of fighter and would think to try and slug it out with evander is not the way to go with the aging warrior. oh well still a novice and appreciate you insight and help. yak

I know your heart is in the right place but I doubt if your plays are moving any lines yet. People bet these fights all over the country. Don't get the big head on us.

And if Olympic is checking this sight for clues then I say they are some dirty bastids.

just an fyi.....take a gander at the number of hits on bl`s thread..... and fletch`s......

granted, there are numerous repeat hits from guys that follow the boxing board on a regular basis....but this board is seen by guys all over the country and abroad....

their plays are respected, and i suspect repeated by guys that don`t necessarily follow boxing close enough to feel comfortable making their own plays....or just want an opinion from someone that has proven successful...

money is money....oly`s boxing oddsmaker has,at least in the past, followed this and several other boards on the net....i know that for a fact.....

does he adjust the line based on what a couple sharps bet?....maybe...maybe not....but it wouldn`t surprise me a bit....especially when the guys are hitting at a very successful ratio and he knows that other gamblers are gonna follow the plays,in essence creating a "block" of plays ....

checking out the sites makes good business sense to me...and i`m not sure that the amount bet is necessarily always the only factor in moving a line.....especially in the lower profile bouts....if you are getting hit consistently by gambler a and b,and they have a strong following, that could be enough to shift the line a little and try and balance the action....

kod,i understand your point of view.... and my disagreeing doesn`t make me right and you wrong...there`s no definitive data to prove or disprove the issue......

i wouldn`t necessarily dismiss what b.l. is saying,though..b.l. is hitting at a very consistent clip....probably even more true with fletch, who has the track record, longevity and service clients repeating his plays....

just a counterpoint.....g.l.,bud...

Just found out that my one loss this
week was a bad beat, not bad capping.
Pearson didn't answer the bell in the 8th
round due to an injured hand.

This is the second bad beat I have had
in the last two months and both were
on overs. In the Adams-Sepeda bloodbath
it was obvious the fight was going over
untill a nasty clash of heads stopped it.

I hate losing period, but it really pisses me
off when I'm on the right side and lose due
to bullsh*t.

Sorry, just had to vent a little.
