i really just hope the rematch ends cleanly...and without controversy.....

anybody that thinks that house fighters in america(vegas),don`t get as much of an advantage...as those overseas.....

is in the midst of an ether binge...

why am i not shocked that the second bout is in vegas?.....

castillo...you`d better bring your gat....you ain`t leaving with that belt unless you cripple corrales...and even then,it`s gonna be iffy....

Why would you say that? Corrales has a good promoter but Castillo has Top Rank. Top Rank is no slouch when it comes to corruption.

I have seen Peters fight and he will come out punching.

Geez Peters looks solid as a rock and mean too.
Looks like he trained for this one. And then I see that picture of Kitchlko and that makes me nervous.

can anyone say ktfo .......Klitchko looks like a peach for the picking.

I pitty the fool... .

I am going to play Peters now.

I played Peters to win and I played this also just to cover if Klit gets lucky I think it will be in the first two rounds. Other than that Peters looks like a bad ass fighter to me.

Wladimir Klitschko vs Samuel Peter Klitschko by KO in
round 1 - 2 +1375

yeh I was watching that.

that stinks...

In order to watch the fight I had to go into DirectTV and change the programing to HBO.

So while I was in there I took off my wifes favorite
Showtime movie channels.
I added HBO.

I am waiting until she says something.

So far so good.

well it was a great fight. I hate all that holding crap, but it won him the fight.

Peters got away with alot of behind the head knockdowns, he just couldnt finish him.

The announcer saying he had a deathwish was a little sick considering the then bell ring for johnson who just died in the ring. Whats wrong with that guy saying that crap.

Oh well took a hit. Got to get up and come back fighting.

let me say one thing...i was literally soiling myself worrying that this was gonna be a draw....those knockdowns...as strange and cuffing as they were, have a way of swaying the judges....with all klit`s holding...and lord,he did hold alot....he should have been penalized...multiple times...holding behind the head, much of the time...

boxing needs a more uniform interpretation of all these rules...it`s like different strike zones for different umps...i don`t like it...

and let me say to mayorga...with all due respect...i understand your point about top rank..point taken...but,this was in vegas...and corrales fights out of vegas...he was the house fighter in that fight....

what i`m saying is that castillo wouldn`t have gotten the same treatment....in vegas...

you don`t agree?...fine...i just wish that the second one wasn`t in vegas....

i ain`t crowin`...because i honestly never thought this would see the cards...i whiffed on picking inside the distance...i thought it was so obvious...

but,i made more off the klit by decision prop(+1575) than if there had been a k.o.....

dumb luck...it occurred to me after i`d parlayed several things with the inside the distance prop....

i never thought that klit could do a ruiz...but he did....very successfully....

peter was raw...and exposed...he gassed late...and if klit had had a mean streak, peter may have gotten stopped himself in the 12th...he buckled badly....i didn`t even see the punch...

btw...i lost on the under 6.5 round props in both bouts myself......

the first fight was a monster...the columbian kid was tough...and we now know that cotto can be hurt....but,can also recuerate...he`s been hurt in several bouts now...

now, after an excellent night of free boxing...and an interesting showtime card next weekend...with a monster bout on it(marquez/mabuza),they expect us suckers to pay,what,50 bucks to see jones and tarver?.....

unless the undercard is a bear, forget it....

btw...mayorga...who do you like on the great lightweight pride tourney card?...another great card...

GW,

Corrales wishes he would never have to fight again in Vegas either...Kinda ironic...

Anyhow, we can pick up on this topic I guess closer to the rematch...But then I believe when Corrales kicks the shit out of Castillo, maybe this discussion will become moot. :)

In the meantime, I respectfully disagree that Weeks did a poor job in the Castillo/Corrales fight.

Corrales was penalized accordingly per the rules by Weeks, and not only did one fighter get the benefit of the delay but so did Castillo who was apparently running on fumes as well...

Can't wait for the rematch...Good luck in the meantime fellas....

That was by far the most ignorant statement ever posted in my threads.

flipper...corrales may well annihilate castillo this time around....as i said,i have no clue what will happen...

after a fight like that,it`s to difficult for me to gauge the residual damage that was inflicted on each fighter...maybe both fighters....

seems like as of late,we`ve seen the residual effects of beatings take a serious toll on certain guys that have been in hard fights....

courtney burton is a shell of what he was...ditto ebo elder...we saw angel manfredy drop off the face of the earth...

i think we are in the process of seeing shane mosley deteriorating rapidly....and obviously..and sadly, levander johnson....

all i was saying is that the house fighter gets the breaks....which corrales did...and in my opinion,it possibly changed the outcome of the fight...

that`s all...i think weeks is a poor decision maker...i hope that`s all it was...

has absolutely nothing to do with part II....i just hope nobody gets seriously injured...

the potential for that is real in this particular fight....

nothing personal, mayorga and flipper....we just disagree...

that`s o.k...

box,

What ignorance is there of that statement at all???

Did they both get the same rest time? Yes or No?

Answer: Yes

And after the Corrales knock downs we know Castillo was on fumes, because even with that rest, when Corrales caught him with a left, that was it for Castillo...

GW,

I hear what you are saying...I am just pointing out that Corrales does not prefer to fight in Vegas as he does not believe he gets hometown calls out here.

By the way, are you guys coming to town for that fight?

Were both fighters gassed going into the 10th round?

Answer: YES

Did they both get dropped twice and hurt twice by big shots in the first 1:00 of the 10th round?

Answer: NO

Did they both spit out their mouthpeice after getting dropped twice and hurt twice in a desperate attempt to buy more recovery time?

Answer: NO

Is there a HUGE difference between being gassed and being almost KTFO?

Answer: YES!!!

Flipper

I shouldn't have to explain to you that both guys were gassed going into the 10th round.

I shouldn't have to explain to you that Corrales was obviously hurt twice by big punches when he spit out the mouthpeice to buy more recovery time.

I shouldn't have to explain to you that there's a HUGE difference between being tired and being hurt by a punch.

You obviously don't know much about boxing, I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Did both boxers get the same amount of rest time while corrales was down?

Answer: Yes

Was Castillo clever or conscious enough to go down and take a knee to regroup such as Corrales did the second time Corrales decided to go down?

Answer: No

Will Corrales kick the crap out of Castillo in the rematch?

Answer: :tongue

Unbelievable

I can't belive I have to put it this way but you obviously aren't getting it.

You keep saying they both had the same time to rest during the delay, obviously they did, but thats not the point. Corrales just got caught with some huge punches and was recovering from the head shots that knocked him on his ass. Try to follow me here...ready...

When you get hit in the head, it tends to make you a little dizzy and fall over and stuff. After getting hit in the head it takes your equilibrium a while to set itself right again. The more time you give it, the more it corrects itself. Which is why the extra 30 seconds of time was MUCH more valuable to Corrales than it was for Castillo. And its the reason that Corrales spit the thing out, he was clearly in trouble to the HEAD, from big left hooks.

Both guys were gassed going into the 10th round but after the 1st kd and definitly after the 2nd kd Corrales was hurt to the HEAD and Castillo was not, so the extra time was obviously more valuable for Corrales.

If you can't see that its time to take the Corrales posters off your bedroom wall and throw away the Diego wristbands/headbands and grow up.

I'm a Diego fan, but able to rise above that and call it like I see it.

It doesn't matter who wins the rematch, it will be a great fight either way. As long as its a fair fight, the right guy wins, and no one gets hurt...I'll be happy.

My play on Castillo and the under are strictly value plays, I see both bets as dead even so I'll take the + money.

If Diego wins, and wins fairly, great! It would set up some very intesting fights at higher weights and I love to watch Diego stalk with that power.

Either way I'm done with this
