Rojas to beat Mbamba at -175.

I don't see Rojas losing in his hometown to the African.

Good luck all :toast: :toast: :toast:

"the bunker"
i just noticed that kessler is +235 and abraham +240 to win the super middle tourney...

where is all this abraham love coming from?...i`m guessing that if he wins theres some stipulation that all his fights will be in germany?.....

cause imo,the odds of him beating kessler are extremely slim....i also believe that abraham vs dirrell, froch and ward are very "losable" fights for him...

i think he`s being highly overrated here vs some top drawer super middleweights.....guys that have height advantages and are real technicians(something he hasn`t seen all that much of).......

For me, I wouldn't bite at those odds. That is 3 fights your guy has to win and the payout is what, in 2011? I might throw a buck on Direll +1200 but no more than that. I'm in the minority but I really like Dirells chances in this. He dismantled Hanshaw who gave RJ a pretty good go. He's looked sensational in a few fights and ordinary in others. I know the hot and cold has people staying off him but I'm a little surprised that he's the least favored to win this. It also goes to show that NONE of these matchups are a sure thing for anybody. I don't even count JT out, although personally I give him the least likely chance to win this. Props again to Showtime for putting this together!

i don`t disagree with what you`re saying..i`m basically commenting on the odds that were posted at 5 dimes...

i don`t make abraham basically a co-favorite with kessler...that`s an odd line,imo....

kessler, imo,is the clear fave and i think both of the young guns are dangerous.....

to take it a step further(on the odds),as you said, dirrell is the longshot, yet,i saw him at +120(basically even money) vs froch... in england.....

the odds seem a tad disjointed...

I couldn't resist Romi.

I put 2 small bets on the outright winner.

+1400 on Dirrel.

+1000 on Ward.

I think Kessler will win the whole thing IF it comes to a conclusion but I am not passing up the odds on the 2 Andre's.

hmm, nothing really solid this week.

I have a bet on Harrison to win the tourney at +300, but I guess I wont get paid on this since Sprott dropped out of the tourney and the new odds are much worse...

Audley and Williams are favored to win this, but both can blow very hot and cold. 3 round fights can be very unpredictable so I took a shot at Coleman (Grammer is on a bad run and Barrett looks to be up for this) and (very small) on Baker @+730..

I took a small shot on Baker as well
Danny Williams really is amazing to me
He took one of the most hellacious beatings I have ever seen against Vitali
I thought for sure he would never win another fight
and the guy has become British champ time and time again

I can't believe the guy is stil fighting at such a level
At some point he going to fall off the cliff...just not sure when
Baker is worth a shot at +700

But realistically, I think Harrison takes this tourney
his style is perfect for it...he just has to stink out 9 rounds of boxing and not get KO'ed

This week's plays:

Tua - big. He started out at 5d at -195. At that price I would have liked him straight up. At -300, I felt forced to parlay him (w/Green, Murray, and/or Yefimovich). I just can't see Tua losing here. Vastly more experienced and alot of pride, Tua will not allow ordinary Cameron to embarrass him on home soil. Cameron is nothing special at all. 11 rounds with Robert Davis, KO loss to Ahunanya?? I remember when they brought him to Vegas some years ago as a prospect, and threw him out after a life and death struggle with journeyman James Walton. Cameron does nothing better than Tua. A rested and motivated Tua takes care of business here.

Crawford - medium (+160). This is a pick'em fight. I like Crawford because of height and more accomplished amateur career. Smith has shown great improvement as of late, but had some desperate struggles with ordinary fighters not too long ago. Going on a feeling, and enjoying favorable odds, I like Crawford to win a very competitive fight.

Green-Simms UNDER 9 1/2 (-165) - smallish. Matt sold me on this one. Green too much here. I think he will swarm and eventually overwhelm small and older opponent.

Good luck all! :box2:

My plays look identical...Tua -200, under green -165, then a few parlays with green, murray and yef. Murray is a big chalk wager and will hurt if he finds a way to lose but I dont see it happening. Thaxton will need to get lucky IMO but those big chalk wagers can be dangerous. They do bite me in the ass on occasion but that's all part of this racket. Good Luck everybody!

The Samoan Tony Galento. :mj07: :mj07: :142smilie :142smilie

He is one thick dude. I've seen some other pics and Tua's legs are ripped. Cameron has a Tommy Morrison look to him. Tua should knock the piss out of him but he's been unimpressive as of late. See Cisse Salif and Robert Hawkins.

But Tua trained hard, hates Cameron and is making his first decent purse in over half a decade. I saw the video of the weigh-in and Tua was smirking towards the end of their staredown when Shane was ushered away. Tuaman by KO - early.

I know, those heavy fav. parlays often go bad. Too many variables I guess. I still can't resist them sometimes though. This week, I'm having a tough time finding the weak spot with Murray, Yefi, Green, and even Senchenko against the Japanese challenger. Stranger upsets have happened, but all of these favs seem really solid here.

Any possibility of actually viewing the Tua-Cameron fight? Who knows what time it will start on this side of the planet. Stream would be fantastic if anyone has. Even a RBR would be cool.

Damn, Tua looks READY TO RUMBLEEEEEEEE! Looks like I'll be going to Starbucks after work tonight.

Any idea what time 6:30 GMT converts into Eastern time?

Middle of the night Romi...not sure Starbucks will be open
I think it's like 5 or 6 am
