nope they have a card on next week and then i think the finale is on Aug 19 with Mauricio Herrera vs Ruslan Provodnikov. in what should be a fun rematch..

Peterson-Cayo

Peterson-Cayo

I did'nt see an off shore line as of yet. I intend to head over to one of the Cantor gaming books (Cosmopolitan-Tropicana-the M-Hard Rock, etc.) to see if a line is up yet. Most likely not, and they keep telling me what hot shots they are when it comes to bookmaking! Miranda is fun to watch. Total maniac.

Make believe Vegas sports book (Cantor gaming)

Make believe Vegas sports book (Cantor gaming)

Don't laugh. That already happened at Aladdin, now Planet Hollywood. I ask if they have a line on the fight they are hosting this w/e, at the sports book, and I swear, I am asked, "what fight?"!!! Numb nut mooks. So I go to the Trop bout 1 hour ago, and the sports book manager is pissed I am there asking. Sometimes I think I'm in butt fuck Idaho, and not Vegas. No wonder there is so much off shore action. I live here and can't even bet on a fight they are hosting! Bunch of punk ass bitches I say.:nooo:

i notice that most of the people manning the counter at sportsbooks in vegas

DON'T HAVE PASSION FOR SPORTS

is that on purpose?

You are 100% correct. They could'nt give a rats ass about whats what. I think they hire the most brain dead retards they can find, that are willing to sit at a counter, not think, just press buttons, and repeat day after day. The managers/supervisors/directors are different. They do have functioning grey matter and keep the ship on course, as it were. Being a sports fan is not a requirement to work in a sports book. Having a pulse is.

Yeah, places should have a line ready to go if they are hosting an event. Seems like a no brainer and a way to get some traffic and funds to the sportsbook.

Frank, it seem like you are there. What are the 3 BEST casino's for Boxing Lines in Sin City? And, are their any places that are comparable to the offshore books?

How does putrid Danny Santiago get a title shot? Dude's not even a fringe of a fringe of a fringe contender.

Las Vegas sports books non-existing boxing lines

Las Vegas sports books non-existing boxing lines

I would love to give you a definitive answer, but things change over time. Used to be the Palms, Mandalay Bay and the Mirage were good for a lot of lines. Now Mandalay Bay and the Mirage are one and the same, and they are running scared. Boxing has become a sort of a "we do it for the guests, not to make money" type of activity now. The books bread and butter is NFL, NBA, etc. And horse racing where they can't lose. They don't like boxing wagers, and I think if there would'nt be an uproar, they would drop it all together. But to answer your question, try the Stratosphere, any of the MGM-Mirage properties, and Caesars Palace group. But not all of these combined post as many lines as say 5 Dimes or the Greek, to name 2. And as Buck mentioned the US gov't has been seizing domains of off shore websites. Mostly poker sites but who knows where or how far it could go.

Thanks. Would have been interesting if the NFL and NBA took a year off. Thought this ridiculous gambling freeze or whatever you want to call it, would have eased up since Obama came in. What the hell are those knuckleheads doing? Thought they'd repeal that sneaky ass bill snuck in by Frisk in the Securities Act in 2006. But they still don't know what the hell they are doing.

wondering whether theres a deal with the casinos to take down the offshores so the government can get their pound of flesh.....or whether it`s just about garnering more control over people`s lives(healthcare/food/cars/lightbulbs/energy)....i`m tired of getting taxed....they start taxing my gambling proceeds and might just call it a day....

hell, when i was younger and played the numbers on occasion,i did it through a local...i refuse to give the government a cut of anything i win...

they tax you to death..and after you`re dead, thay take a nice chunk of what they already taxed you on in life...

i say f-ck em...

what`s going down right now is scaring the hell out of everybody...

Some rumors I came across say this MAY be a prelude to internet legal sports betting in the US. It's done with horse racing already, so why not sports. Horse racing, by the way, is also totally corrupt. All sorts of hanky panky there. When the gov't could not stop people from drinking booze, they caved. People want to bet, end of story. Gambling is like the second oldest profession. Great Britain has over 1 million security cameras on the streets. No joke. The FBI can monitor ALL internet traffic. Also 5Dimes just informed me that I cannot withdraw my OWN MONEY(no bonus involved) until I roll over at least what I deposited!!! WTF. It's my money. If I don't play an amount equal to what I deposited, I have to pay 5% admin fee, plus the $30 WU or check fee. Why? Because they are fucking crooks.
